AMBTICBPIB Chapter 76

That bracelet doesn't suit you at all...

After leaving the hospital and getting back into the car, Chu Yi finally let his emotions burst forth, wrapping his arms around Shen Jin in an impassioned embrace.

The tears he had been holding back finally overflowed, large drops cascading down and soaking Shen Jin’s shoulder. The bespoke suit jacket was quickly drenched with Chu Yi’s warm tears.

Shen Jin returned the embrace, gently patting Chu Yi’s back. He knew Chu Yi was even more overwhelmed than he was. The arms around him tightened with such force, and the burning breath and tears mingled against his neck and shoulder.

*I didn’t realize Chu Yi was so strong,* Shen Jin thought.

Without even looking, Shen Jin could picture Chu Yi’s tearful face. Yet seeing him cry like this still tugged at his heart.

“Why are you still crying?” Shen Jin asked softly.

Chu Yi sniffled, his voice thick with emotion, laughing and crying at the same time. “I’m just so happy! *Waaahhh!* Shen Jin, you’re completely healed! You’ll never have to wear that bracelet again. It didn’t suit you at all.”

Shen Jin’s wrists were so beautiful, so sensual—perfect for wearing a watch.

Chu Yi was overjoyed. Shen Jin was now no different from anyone else! He was just like everyone else! Chu Yi cried like a child.

Shen Jin silently held Chu Yi, listening to him talk, listening to his heartbeat, and tightly embracing this person who cared so deeply for him.

Chu Yi still felt like he was dreaming. To prove it wasn’t, he wiped his tears on Shen Jin’s shirt and then bit Shen Jin’s neck, his teeth gently piercing the skin. “What am I doing?”

Shen Jin smiled. “You bit me.”

Chu Yi blinked and bit him again, this time more gently, then looked up at Shen Jin.

Shen Jin felt it clearly. “You bit me again, but softer this time.”

After a pause, Shen Jin added, “You just scratched me with your fingernail.”

As he spoke, Shen Jin’s wrist was bare. The bracelet he usually wore had been removed, leaving only a faint mark.

Every sensation Shen Jin felt was his own, even the slightest brush of Chu Yi’s teeth. He could feel pain, feel hurt—he could feel everything, just like a normal person.

The latest examination results clearly showed that Shen Jin had made a complete recovery. Even Dr. Meng found it somewhat unbelievable, as Shen Jin’s recovery had occurred far sooner than initially predicted.

After some consideration, Dr. Meng concluded that this was likely due to Chu Yi’s influence.

Throughout their walk from Dr. Meng’s office, Chu Yi had stubbornly held back his tears, clutching tightly to the hem of Shen Jin’s shirt. Now, he could finally embrace Shen Jin and weep freely.

“Shen Jin, you’re amazing! You’re so incredible!” Chu Yi exclaimed, his words tumbling over each other in his excitement. “You’re just like me now—a normal person! I’m so happy! Shen Jin, you’re so wonderful! I’m so, so happy!”

Chu Yi knew that Shen Jin had been worried about Little Lucky Star. At birth, Shen Jin had insisted the doctors conduct a thorough examination. Although Shen Jin’s pain insensitivity was acquired later in life, he feared Little Lucky Star might inherit the condition.

If any issues were found, Shen Jin would have done everything in his power to treat Little Lucky Star, determined to spare him the same fate.

Chu Yi could sense Shen Jin’s anxiety and tried to reassure him that his worries were unfounded. Yet Shen Jin only turned around and comforted Chu Yi, urging him not to worry.

When all the test results came back, they confirmed that Little Lucky Star was a perfectly healthy child.

Chu Yi remembered the day Shen Jin finally let out a sigh of relief. When Chu Yi looked at him, Shen Jin smiled gently and said, “Our Little Lucky Star is perfectly healthy.”

Everyone else saw Shen Jin as cold and ruthless, but Chu Yi had glimpsed his vulnerable, tender side.

At that moment, Chu Yi’s eyes had reddened, and the tip of his nose had stung with emotion.

Whenever he thought of Shen Jin lying on the treatment table, his body pierced with silver needles, Chu Yi felt a pang of heartache, as if those needles were piercing his own flesh.

Now that Shen Jin had returned to normal, Chu Yi was even happier and more excited than Shen Jin himself.

He clung to Shen Jin, tears streaming down his face—tears of pure joy.

Chen Ye, sitting in the front seat, wasn’t one for outward displays of emotion. Yet even his eyes were rimmed with red, his heart swelling with happiness for Shen Jin. He knew how much Shen Jin had endured over the years—betrayed and framed by his own father, facing countless hardships alone, utterly isolated.

Fortunately, a boy named Chu Yi had entered Shen Jin’s life.

Holding Chu Yi close, Shen Jin glanced at Chen Ye in the front seat. “Chen Ye, thank you for all your hard work these past years.”

Chen Ye quickly replied, “Mr. Shen, please don’t be so formal. It was my duty. It’s just… it’s wonderful to see you’re back to normal.”

Shen Jin smiled. *Yes, this feeling is truly wonderful.*

But the little boy in his arms kept crying, leaving him somewhat at a loss.

As Shen Jin wiped away Chu Yi’s tears, Chu Yi’s eyes were red and swollen. “If you go back like this, Uncle Wen will definitely think I bullied you.”

“Uncle Wen would never think that,” Chu Yi insisted. “None of the people at the villa would.”

Everyone at the villa knew Chu Yi was Mr. Shen’s precious darling.

Chu Yi cried tears of joy all the way home.

By the time they arrived, his eyes were indeed swollen. Uncle Wen spotted him the moment they entered and wondered why he was crying.

Chu Yi excitedly pulled Uncle Wen aside to a quiet corner and eagerly shared the good news.

*This is such wonderful news!*

Uncle Wen’s eyes lit up with excitement as he listened.

Since few people knew about Shen Jin’s pain insensitivity, Uncle Wen couldn’t show his excitement as openly as Chu Yi did.

Yet everyone at the villa could sense that something extraordinarily joyful had happened that day. Mr. Shen, Chu Yi, and Uncle Wen were all unusually cheerful.

Chu Yi, in particular, couldn’t stop smiling.

Chu Yi was always so cheerful, every single day.

While Uncle Wen was in the kitchen preparing dinner, Chu Yi finally found time to play with Little Lucky Star. If the little one hadn’t fallen asleep, Chu Yi wouldn’t have wanted to let go, wanting to hold him forever.

The Shen family had been blessed with a string of good news and joyous occasions lately.

That evening, Uncle Wen opened a bottle of wine he had been saving for years to celebrate. Shen Jin and Uncle Wen each drank a small glass.

Chu Yi didn’t care much for alcohol; he preferred food.

Having gone so long without crab, Chu Yi was finally able to enjoy spicy crab tonight. Uncle Wen hadn’t added too much chili, just enough to give it a slight kick, but the aroma was irresistible.

After nearly a year without crab, Chu Yi’s mouth watered at the sight.

Shen Jin naturally took on the task of shelling the crab, carefully extracting the snow-white meat from the shells. He filled a small dish with the succulent meat and slid it over to Chu Yi.

As Shen Jin shelled the crab, Chu Yi kept his eyes fixed on him. Shen Jin’s slender fingers moved swiftly, effortlessly peeling away the shells.

Chu Yi devoured the crab meat in a few bites, then gazed expectantly at Shen Jin. “I want more,” he pleaded.

Shen Jin peeled two more plates of crab meat. After Chu Yi finished, he continued to stare at Shen Jin. Shen Jin shook his head. “No more.”

Chu Yi’s face fell. Recalling Shen Jin’s earlier promise, he demanded an explanation. “You said I could eat whatever I wanted after having the baby! I’m not pregnant anymore, and I’m past my postpartum period. Why can’t I have more?”

During his pregnancy, Shen Jin had made him so many promises.

Shen Jin soothed his little one. “Crab is cold in nature. You should always eat it in moderation, no matter when.”

Chu Yi pursed his lips. He had finally gotten to eat crab again, but he hadn’t had enough. He shot a pleading look at Uncle Wen.

Seeing his distress, Uncle Wen’s heart softened. He interceded on Chu Yi’s behalf. “Just peel one more plate for him, Shen Jin.”

Even Uncle Wen’s plea was futile. Shen Jin wiped his hands. “No, Uncle Wen. He can’t have too much, or his stomach will hurt.”

Uncle Wen glanced at Chu Yi, signaling his helplessness.

Well, Chu Yi had already devoured three plates of crab meat today, feeling utterly satisfied. And there were still so many delicious dishes on the table!

Shen Jin emerged from the bathroom, and Chu Yi’s eyes burned with anticipation as he turned to him.

Shen Jin approached. “Want to do another checkup?”

“Of course,” Chu Yi replied.

Examining Shen Jin’s body had become a daily ritual for Chu Yi. He thought that soon he wouldn’t need to do it anymore, but for now, it was still necessary.

Shen Jin’s chest muscles were truly beautiful and felt incredibly good to the touch.

While feeling them, Chu Yi secretly pinched Shen Jin’s back. Shen Jin chuckled. “That stings a little, Chu Yi. Be gentle.”

Chu Yi giggled. Shen Jin was truly healed.

This spring, the flowers in the courtyard seemed to bloom overnight, a vibrant tapestry of colors that was breathtakingly beautiful.

Chu Yi stood by the windowsill, holding Little Lucky Star, and gazed at the garden. The little boy’s attention was captivated by a butterfly flitting past. When it flew away, he grew anxious.

His anxiety made him drool, and Chu Yi quickly wiped his mouth with a small handkerchief.

Little Lucky Star had grown considerably, becoming much sturdier. No longer a soft, squishy bundle, Chu Yi could now hold him with confidence.

Shen Jin returned to find this heartwarming scene: Chu Yi cradling Little Lucky Star, both gazing at the courtyard in unison. The sight was so tender that Shen Jin smiled.

Hearing the commotion, Chu Yi turned around and strode toward Shen Jin, Little Lucky Star still in his arms. When Chu Yi saw Shen Jin, his eyes lit up with a radiant glow that made Shen Jin’s heart flutter.

Chu Yi rushed up to Shen Jin, his expression urgent. “Shen Jin, Little Lucky Star pooped! We need to change his diaper.”

Chu Yi still hadn’t mastered diaper changes, so Shen Jin’s return was perfectly timed.

Shen Jin: …So that’s why Chu Yi was looking at him so excitedly.

The super-dad Shen Jin expertly changed the diaper.

With a fresh diaper, Little Lucky Star transformed back into a sweet-smelling, cuddly little milk ball.

Chu Yi took the little milk ball to play, leaving Shen Jin standing alone.

Shen Jin stepped forward and wrapped his arm around Chu Yi’s shoulder. The three of them stood together, watching the butterflies fluttering in the courtyard.
