Back in their room, Shen Jin found Chu Yi sitting cross-legged on a chair, his hair still damp, happily eating ice cream while watching a video.
When Chu Yi saw Shen Jin, his first instinct was to hide the ice cream. But then he remembered he no longer needed to hide it and could eat it openly.
So, Chu Yi pretended to scratch his back and asked, “Didn’t you go to a meeting at the company? Why are you back so soon?”
Shen Jin hung up his coat. “The meeting finished already.”
Though the gaming chair was stable, Shen Jin still lifted Chu Yi directly onto the bed. Small droplets of water clung to the tips of his hair, making it clear Chu Yi hadn’t properly dried his hair after his shower.
Seeing this, Shen Jin understood. He picked up a dry towel and began drying Chu Yi’s hair. “Tell me,” he said, “did you often sneak ice cream while you were pregnant?”
*Shen Jin is so observant,* Chu Yi thought. *How did he even notice that?*
Chu Yi chuckled sheepishly. “Not often! No more than five times, I swear!”
Shen Jin looked at him helplessly. “And you didn’t even dry your hair properly.”
Chu Yi shrugged it off. “It’s so hot out now. It’ll dry on its own in no time. No big deal.”
Shen Jin pinched his cheek. Even though he was a father now, Chu Yi’s heart is still like a child’s.
Despite the summer heat, Shen Jin brought over the hairdryer and began drying Chu Yi’s hair, reminding him again, “From now on, you need to dry your hair properly after every shower.”
“But you’re here,” Chu Yi protested.
Shen Jin chuckled. “What about when I’m not home?”
Chu Yi grinned and said nothing, simply continuing to eat his ice cream. He scooped out a spoonful and offered it to Shen Jin. “Then I’ll just wait for you to come back.”
The ice cream was sweet, cool, and vanilla-flavored—Chu Yi’s favorite. “Delicious, right?”
Shen Jin tasted it. “Not bad.”
Chu Yi grinned mischievously, eating his ice cream while watching Shen Jin.
By the time Shen Jin put the hairdryer away and sat down beside him, Chu Yi had finished his ice cream, a smear of it lingering on his lips. As Shen Jin reached to wipe it off, Chu Yi wrapped his arms around Shen Jin’s neck and leaned in for a kiss.
His lips were cool, with a lingering sweet, milky vanilla taste between them. Shen Jin found the flavor even more exquisite and sweet than before.
This was the first time Chu Yi had been so proactive.
Shen Jin was like an old house, ignited by the smallest spark into an unstoppable blaze.
A single kiss could lead to so much more.
Chu Yi had already torn off Shen Jin’s tie and tossed it aside, nearly ripping the buttons off his shirt in the process.
Without realizing it, Shen Jin had pinned Chu Yi beneath him, their foreheads pressed together, the tip of Shen Jin’s nose brushing against Chu Yi’s cheek, his warm breath fanning across Chu Yi’s face.
Their gazes locked, each seeing only the other reflected in their eyes, their chests rising and falling in unison.
Chu Yi smiled. “Was the ice cream good?”
Shen Jin’s voice was hoarse as he rasped out two words: “Delicious.”
Chu Yi tilted his head slightly and kissed Shen Jin again.
Everything felt so natural, so fervent, so scorching hot.
Dazed, Chu Yi watched Shen Jin, now stripped down to his pants, suddenly stand up. “Where are you going?” he asked, puzzled.
Shen Jin kissed his cheek. “Wait for me,” he murmured, his voice rough. “I’ll be right back.”
Chu Yi watched as Shen Jin opened a drawer and retrieved a bracelet.
His confusion deepened. Wasn’t that the bracelet Shen Jin always wore?
Before Chu Yi could dwell on it for more than a few seconds, Shen Jin turned and returned to the bed.
Shen Jin had an exceptionally well-toned physique. His pants were half-unzipped, hanging precariously at his waist, revealing his firm, shapely buttocks and the tantalizing V-lines of his lower abdomen. His healthy, sun-kissed skin radiated an inexplicable allure, a raw, primal magnetism.
Chu Yi, lying on the bed, swallowed hard. *How could Shen Jin be this breathtakingly handsome?*
As Chu Yi watched in bewilderment, Shen Jin returned to the bed and fastened the bracelet around Chu Yi’s wrist.
Chu Yi’s face flushed crimson instantly. He still vividly remembered that tingling, electric sensation.
“Do I have to wear it?” Chu Yi asked.
Shen Jin smiled. “Don’t you like it?”
Chu Yi lowered his gaze, his ears glowing crimson. Two words escaped him: “I do.”
Shen Jin kissed his ear. “If you like it, you can’t take it off.”
With a gentle nip, a vibration surged through the bracelet, coursing through Chu Yi’s entire body before settling in the pit of his heart.
A soft “ah” echoed clearly in the room, like a warm, comforting current flowing through him.
After what felt like an eternity, the bracelet on Chu Yi’s wrist finally fell silent.
Shen Jin held him tightly in his arms, their breathing still ragged.
Chu Yi’s chest heaved as he struggled to regain his composure for over ten minutes, the lingering tingling sensation gradually fading away.
Only then did Chu Yi realize that Shen Jin had been restraining himself during their previous encounters, treating them like mere games.
These days, Shen Jin had shed all restraint, becoming utterly inhuman in bed.
Chu Yi sobbed and begged, “Waaah, Shen Jin, can I rest for a bit?”
Shen Jin silenced him with a kiss. “You started this, so no.”
After a while, Chu Yi whimpered again, “Can you take off the bracelet?”
Shen Jin’s hips shifted. “No.”
Chu Yi couldn’t take it anymore. He crawled off the bed on his knees, only to be yanked back by his ankle with one of Shen Jin’s hands.
The bracelet vibrated incessantly, sending Chu Yi’s soul soaring out of his body multiple times.
After what felt like an eternity, the room finally fell silent.
Shen Jin kissed Chu Yi’s forehead, still wanting more. “I used to hate this bracelet, but now I think it’s pretty good.”
Chu Yi was completely drained, able only to whimper softly in Shen Jin’s arms. *Is this how you’re supposed to use the bracelet?*
Shen Jin acted as if he hadn’t heard. “Next time, we can put it on your ankle.” Chu Yi’s ankles were so slender; it would fit perfectly.
Chu Yi immediately begged, “No! Absolutely not! I won’t agree!”
That entire afternoon, Chu Yi was too exhausted to get up, wanting nothing more than to lie in bed.
When dinner came, Chu Yi didn’t come downstairs to eat.
Shen Jin went downstairs to bring the food up.
Uncle Wen had initially wanted to ask why Chu Yi hadn’t come down, but when he saw the scratch marks on Shen Jin’s wrist and the satisfied look on his face, he understood everything.
“Take this crab roe tofu up. Chu Yi loves it.”
“Chu Yi also likes this tea-smoked chicken.”
“And these mulberry leaf rolls. Chu Yi will enjoy them too. Take them all up.”
“Chu Yi will definitely love this soup. Bring it up as well.”
Uncle Wen piled so much food for Shen Jin to carry that he had to make two trips.
Looking at the small table laden with dishes, Chu Yi exclaimed in surprise, “Did you bring up all the food? What are Uncle Wen and the others going to eat?”
Shen Jin helped him sit up against the pillows. “Of course not.”
After a long afternoon of exertion, Chu Yi was famished. The sight of so much delicious food made his stomach rumble impatiently.
Still feeling weak and unwilling to move, he let Shen Jin feed him.
Chu Yi pointed at the crab roe tofu. “I want this! I want this!”
A spoonful of the rich, golden tofu was brought to his lips. The boy eagerly swallowed it in one gulp. “So delicious!” The delicate flavor of the tender white tofu perfectly complemented the savory richness of the crab roe.
The tea-smoked chicken was equally delicious. The meat was incredibly tender, not at all dry, and infused with a delicate tea aroma, thanks to Uncle Wen’s use of the family’s expensive tea leaves. Each bite was fragrant with tea, yet never cloying.
After finishing a bowl of broth the color of tea, Chu Yi leaned back against his pillow, completely satisfied. The meal had been utterly delightful.
Only after Chu Yi had eaten his fill did Shen Jin begin to eat.
The food on the plate was already somewhat messy and unappetizing, and it had grown cold. Yet Shen Jin ate with relish, showing no sign of complaint. No matter the circumstances, his manner of eating remained elegant, his arm still bearing the scratches Chu Yi had left earlier.
Chu Yi’s nose began to tingle, and his eyes grew even redder.
He had never imagined he would meet someone who doted on him so completely, yet here he was, with this man who treated him so incredibly well.
Noticing Chu Yi staring at him, Shen Jin smiled. “What’s wrong? Still hungry? Want some more?”
Chu Yi shook his head. “I just like watching you eat. You look so handsome when you eat.”
Shen Jin raised an eyebrow, clearly in high spirits. Chu Yi’s words filled his heart with warmth.
Before going to bed, Shen Jin went to check on Little Lucky Star, as usual.
After returning, Shen Jin told Chu Yi that Little Lucky Star was already asleep.
The two lay in bed, but Chu Yi still felt his chest was bursting with emotion. The feeling lingered, refusing to dissipate, and he felt an urgent need to express it.
With the lights off, the room was dimly lit, but their silhouettes remained visible.
They embraced, Chu Yi listening to Shen Jin’s steady breathing. His heart began to race.
Chu Yi wrapped his arms around Shen Jin’s waist, took a soft breath, and whispered, “Husband.”
His voice was soft, but in the quiet night, Shen Jin heard it clearly.
The moment he heard it, Shen Jin’s eyes widened, and his body stiffened visibly. “Chu Yi, say it again.”
Chu Yi had never understood what love was before. No one had ever taught him, and he had never experienced it himself.
But during his time with Shen Jin, he had come to understand.
Just as he loved Shen Jin deeply, he knew he had to express it.
Chu Yi looked into Shen Jin’s eyes. “Husband, I love you.”
Shen Jin felt as though Chu Yi had come to claim his life, but he willingly surrendered it into Chu Yi’s hands.
Shen Jin rolled over and kissed Chu Yi fiercely.
After the kiss ended, Shen Jin said, “Say it again.”
Chu Yi: “Husband.”
Shen Jin: “Say it again.”
Chu Yi: “Husband.”
After repeating it several times, Chu Yi said, “Husband, I’m sleepy. I want to go to sleep.”
Shen Jin: “Husband will lull you to sleep.”
Chu Yi snuggled contentedly against Shen Jin’s chest. “Good night, Husband.”
