WCHM Chapter 60

[Second World – ABO Plot – Poor Beta Student] Chapter 60

The holographic forums hadn’t had any fresh entertainment in a long time.

Beyond the main planet, the Federation Academy had many branch campuses across other star systems, with an enormous student population. With AI coverage spanning the entire galaxy, the forums weren’t just filled with students from the floating islands; after all, no one could stop countless unofficial users from enrolling.

Even in a brand-new world, the topics that stirred public opinion were still the same old ones:

Regional rivalry. Class conflict. Sexism. Relationship gossip.

And the word “Beta” in this thread title happened to strike directly at the gender-war nerve. Immediately, a skull-headed virtual avatar stopped in place, crossed his arms, and clicked into the thread, reading aloud with narrowed eyes.

[Yesterday, I got unlucky and randomly matched against the Demon King. He beat me so badly I coughed blood and played dead on the spot. Thankfully, “Cocoon” had already called a doctor for me… But guess what I saw on the public screen while they were carrying me out? A Beta’s name! I even double-checked afterward and had “Cocoon” record the information for me! It’s really a Beta in the D-rank battle zone, named Lu Chi or something! Seriously, Academy, can you sink any lower? You’re even letting Betas pass the review process now?? At this rate, you might as well let those Omegas join, too. LMAO!]

The earlier parts didn’t provoke much of a reaction from Skull Head, but the ending made him raise an eyebrow.

He immediately replied:

[Dumbass OP opened his mouth and stank up the whole place. Checked the gender tag and sure enough, another “noble” A-rank Alpha. What do you mean by “might as well let those Omegas join too”? Sorry, bro, but literally nobody wants to compare themselves to you, mecha-addicted cavemen.]

2L: [OP stop crying, look, someone got triggered again (picking nose.jpg)]

3L: [I’m dying. Mention Omegas once, and the delicate, sensitive crowd immediately shows up. Who still says this isn’t toxic romance?]

4L: [Am I the only one concerned that this is illegal? OP straight-up exposed that Beta’s name LOL.]

5L: [That’s just how Alphas are~ what kind of legal awareness do you expect from cavemen? (sticking tongue out.jpg)]

6L: [Omegas really can’t survive without attention, huh? We get it, you’re jealous because you can’t pilot mechas. Can you stop clowning yourselves across every platform?]

7L: [I’m laughing so hard. A bunch of idiots driving scrap-metal mechas and fantasizing they’re emperors. Without Omegas, your brains would’ve fried long ago! Trash, get lost!]

8L: [Post your address if you’ve got guts! I’ll show you what real trash looks like.]

……

More and more virtual avatars gathered around the floating 3D thread. The colored halos representing Alphas and Omegas remained sharply divided as they lowered their heads and cursed at each other online. Before long, someone furiously looked up.

[Omega from floor sixty-eight, get the hell out of here!]

[Oh? Already mad?]

The person being called out lazily turned his head, suddenly pulling out a gun and unloading a barrage of shots without warning. The Alpha didn’t even have time to speak before he was forcibly logged out. His virtual avatar flickered twice before disappearing instantly.

The Omega sneered.

[Idiot. Go fix your cheap-ass chip.]

And thus, yet another massive Alpha/Omega forum war officially began.

However, neither the Alphas nor the Omegas spared a second glance for Lu Chi and the Beta issue itself.

Betas had long since been ignored, domesticated into silent fuel, subconsciously yielding to and accommodating AOs. Everyone understood the academy atmosphere well enough to guess this was probably another bullying stunt, which was why Lu Chi’s name had appeared there.

But what did that have to do with them?

After finally getting fresh drama, watching the chaos, and joining the arguments was obviously the important part.

Ever since the Yu family’s only Omega young master officially appeared two years ago and entered upper-class social circles through the academy, an undercurrent had constantly flowed through campus life. Everyone kept a close eye on the movements of the other two Alphas.

Mainly Lin Jingsi.

The financial conglomerates and the Legion had never gotten along. Years ago, the controversy surrounding bionic technology had escalated into a moral scandal, and the Research Institute had publicly severed ties with the corporations. Countless Federation powers watched the three factions day and night, and as their descendants, these AO students had no choice but to keep watch too.

Honestly, it was exhausting as hell.

They were all privileged dragons raised in luxury, who actually enjoyed constantly monitoring and catering to other people?! Not to mention that each of those three was bizarre in its own special way.

Lin Jingsi was actually the better one. Though he rarely showed himself, his strength was undeniably terrifying. Combined with his superior background and appearance, any dissatisfaction vanished after getting pinned to the ground by his mecha and beaten until vomiting blood.

Beyond the public title of “Supernova,” everyone privately feared him enough to call him the Demon King.

Luo Zexu was more or less the same. Usually gentle and polite, but physically weak. His older brother and younger brother thrived outside the academy, while he could only remain inside as a decorative professor mascot. His only advantage was his A-rank spiritual power, enough for most students to treat him with surface-level respect and courtesy.

As for Yu Kexing… on the outside, he appeared delicate and refined. But inside, he had fully inherited the conglomerate’s ruthless superiority and manipulative nature.

None of them was a good person.

And every so often, people would start another idiotic shipping-war discourse topic. The moment a fresh argument appeared, everyone instantly descended into chaos again, using violence to relieve stress. After all, they were only virtual avatars. Nobody would suffer any real physical harm.

Not far away, someone stood quietly in the middle of the noise, expressionless.

After a moment, he lowered his gaze and casually scrolled through the latest posts. When he saw Lu Chi’s name, he frowned slightly and stared at it for two seconds.

A breath later, the virtual avatar with black hair and black eyes disappeared.

In the silent room, Yu Kexing opened his eyes, removed the sensory chip, and rubbed his swollen temples. After massaging them for a while, he closed his eyes and spoke:

“Prepare dinner. Then bring me my clothes.”

The servant behind him immediately lowered his head. “Yes, young master.”

Crystal chandeliers overhead reflected light across the luxurious and exquisitely decorated room.

Both the Legion and the conglomerates possessed their own territories. As the floating island’s largest sponsor, the Yu family naturally also possessed an enormous domain dedicated to serving the family.

This place was located at the edge of the island. Outside the windows stretched an artificial blue sky-sea, and oval-shaped golden buildings floated atop the water while countless mechanical constructs traveled back and forth. Viewed from above, the entire layout resembled a clear and beautiful lotus flower.

It was the symbol of the Hometown Group.

And also the symbol of the Yu family.

The servant quickly brought over the clothing and carefully placed it on the Omega’s usual wooden table before quietly withdrawing from the room. He was one of the newly hired employees, recruited by the young master a week ago to rotate through various daily tasks in place of intelligent machinery.

A week ago, Yu Kexing had suddenly fainted while bathing and nearly drowned in the bathtub.

After waking up, he became strangely quiet. Following several days of dazed silence, Yu Kexing began hiring servants, replacing intelligent mechanical services with humans instead. The Yu family paid little attention to it, assuming he had simply developed another passing interest, and let him do as he pleased. But Yu Kexing himself didn’t know whether the scenes he’d witnessed during his coma were real.

He had dreamed of the future.

He dreamed that he was pinned to the floor of a lounge, staring into a pair of unfocused dark green eyes while breathing in the nauseating scent of violent pheromones. The owner of those pheromones calmly raised a gun, completely ignoring Yu Kexing’s frantic explanations, and mercilessly pulled the trigger.

One shot…

And half of Yu Kexing’s body was blown apart.

Blood sprayed everywhere, soaking the floor crimson.

The AI blared violent alarms. Through the agonizing pain, Yu Kexing remembered terrified doctors and mechanical arms carrying him away. As he was dragged out, one of his severed limbs fell to the ground, only for Lin Jingsi to casually crush it beneath his foot.

He heard the young Alpha’s cold, cutting voice:

“Trash like this dares to scheme against me?”

“Did everyone in the Research Institute and the Yu family want to die off?”

Then everything plunged into unbearable darkness and pain.

The steady dripping sound echoed endlessly beside his ears. Crushed bones and shredded flesh bled continuously as doctors cruelly reshaped the ruined remains into the ideal form for prosthetic installation.

What followed was endless suffering and hatred without daylight.

The hatred was so intense that when Yu Kexing woke up, he unconsciously clenched his teeth, trembling as he pried apart his own hands, which he’d dug into so hard they were bleeding.

Yu Kexing wasn’t stupid enough to deceive himself into believing it had only been a dream, nor did he harbor any naive hope. So he followed the fragmented scenes from the dream and bought two unfinished buildings where fatal accidents would occur within twenty-four hours. And lo and behold, two hours after the payment cleared, emergency Federation news broke:

“The elusive rebel army had appeared again and bombed two abandoned real estate developments!”

So the dream was real.

The moment Yu Kexing realized this, a chill ran through him. He recalled the future developments afterward and alsothe many abnormalities in the dream, all faintly pointing toward a single answer.

The Omega lowered his eyes without revealing emotion. After thinking for two days, he began recruiting people to his side. The combat tournament couldn’t be avoided, so he simply steered clear of every situation involving Lin Jingsi, hiding himself in the shadows while silently observing everything.

And finally, the night of the dream arrived.

Yu Kexing waited in the darkness and saw no one enter Lin Jingsi’s lounge. But after a long while, a completely unfamiliar Beta suddenly opened the door and walked out from inside.

The Beta had long gray-silver hair, with heavy bangs obscuring his eyes. Only the elegant tip of his nose and soft red lips were visible. His slender jawline was pale and sharp, beautifully defined with an air of melancholy elegance. Yu Kexing stared blankly for two seconds. His legs unconsciously followed after him, and his gaze naturally fixed on the other person.

The man’s spiritual power didn’t seem particularly high. He stopped suspiciously and looked around for a moment, butfound nothing, then continued walking forward. The neon lights of the night fell over his head, making the silver-gray hair appear even fluffier and more unruly, like a cloud made of felt.

As if possessed, Yu Kexing secretly snapped a picture of his face and used the Yu family’s privileges to quickly uncover all of Lu Chi’s information. A day later, he sent a friend request.

But Lu Chi never accepted it.

Yu Kexing both suspected his identity and found himself inexplicably drawn to him.

More than that…

He desperately wanted to know why Lu Chi refused to accept his request. He sent it three times, and all three were ignored.

The lights shone brightly, and the black-haired Omega lowered his eyes. After dinner, he took a shower and calmly changed into a fresh shirt. The light fell across his deathly pale neck, and lower down…

His entire body beneath it was metallic synthetic flesh.

On the very night he confirmed the dream was real, Yu Kexing had secretly arranged surgery to convert fifty percent of his body into mechanical prosthetics. He was afraid of death, so anyone who dared kill him would be ground into bloody paste and blasted into pieces.

Including Lin Jingsi.

Yu Kexing turned around and left, boarding a private aircraft toward the S-rank battle zone lounges. But even as he pressed the visual doorbell, he was still wondering why Lu Chi wouldn’t accept his friend request.

Click.

An almost imperceptible wet sound of lips parting suddenly echoed out before disappearing just as quickly. Yu Kexing paused. A moment later, his black eyes remained weak and indifferent as he politely mocked, “Senior Lin seems to be in quite the mood.”

Broad daylight, and they were still tongue-kissing while answering the doorbell.

Heh.

So high and mighty on the surface, yet still just another creature ruled by desire.

……………..

[Door unlocked. Please enter.]

The lounge was silent.

Lu Chi, dressed in black combat gear, pushed Lin Jingsi away and patted his face. The root of his tongue still tingled.

“Alright, someone’s coming in.”

“We’ve trained enough for today, so I’m going to shower. Later, remember to clean the mecha too. It peed itself again just now.”

The Alpha gave a low hum, staring at Lu Chi’s moist lips, his voice still rough with hoarseness.

“Give me five minutes. After he leaves, I’ll help wash you.”

“Psycho,” the silver-haired Beta laughed. Meeting the desire-heavy gaze in those eyes, he clicked his tongue softly. “…You’re only allowed to use your mouth.”

“Can I lick both up and down?”

“Do you have a sex addiction?”

So that meant he could.

Lin Jingsi’s Adam’s apple bobbed. He leaned over and kissed him again, speaking in a husky voice: “After I lick you clean, you can slap me. If you want it rough, step on me with your feet.”

If they couldn’t go all the way, there were still plenty of other ways to play. The Alpha buried himself deeply into Lu Chi’s neck and shoulders, inhaling fiercely, desire overwhelming in his voice.

“Lu Chi, you have no idea how good you smell.”

Pheromones exist within human bodily fluids. Because training had made him sweat, Lu Chi’s pheromone concentration had increased, and that lethal scent had grown stronger with it. It was still faint, but far more intense than before.

If the competition weren’t so close, Lin Jingsi truly wanted to strip him naked and lick every inch of him clean.

…Sometimes, dealing with the Protagonist Gong was really exhausting.

Lu Chi quickly escaped the clingy dog, smiling as he walked toward the bathroom. Passing through the living room, he happened to run directly into the Main Shou who had just entered.

Under the bright lights, their eyes met, and the Omega abruptly halted. For once, those black eyes beneath his dark hair showed genuine surprise, as if he hadn’t expected to see him here.

Lu Chi found it a little strange but didn’t think much of it as he casually nodded in greeting. Damp bangs clung to his brows, making his already cold temperament seem even icier. The black combat uniform hugged tightly against his body, revealing every rise and curve of his physique.

As he passed by, one could catch the faintest trace of a cool scent, like fine snow, silently surrounding him.

Yu Kexing stood frozen in place. His gaze uncontrollably followed Lu Chi’s retreating figure, one hand unconsciously pressing against his own chest as he felt a sudden, violent heartbeat.

Thump.

Thump.

After several seconds, Yu Kexing finally realized it wasn’t only his heartbeat. Because that slender, beautiful figure suddenly stopped and turned back, looking at him with slight surprise. At the same time, a sinister and murderous voice slowly rose from behind him, cold as death itself:

“Yu Kexing, what are you doing?!”

The Omega breathed blankly as he met Lu Chi’s dark, damp eyes, his heart violently skipping.

He had gone into heat.

He had actually gone into heat in public… because of a Beta.
