Morning And Evening Chapter 25

\

People around looked over, and some even whistled loudly, as if they didn’t want the drama to get out of hand.

He Mu felt Chang Ming’an’s arm, which he was holding, tense up. He couldn’t tell if it was tension or rejection, but whatever it was, he knew that Chang Ming’an wouldn’t push him away.

The young man who had come to flirt with him looked indignant, his finely groomed eyebrows raised. He Mu didn’t recognize him, but he could tell he wasn’t a nice guy. He could have just pulled Chang Ming’an away and ended it all, but he wanted to try. Since Chang Ming’an could accept his hands and feet reaching into his bed, maybe he could accept something else.

This possibility was like a furry cat’s paw, gently scratching at He Mu’s heart.

Seeing He Mu standing at the bar with his arms crossed, unwilling to come and help, Chang Ming’an felt a nameless anger rising within him, making him irritable. It wasn’t until He Mu slowly walked over and hugged his arm that the anger subsided somewhat. Not wanting to be treated like monkeys being stared at by everyone, he wrapped his arm loosely around He Mu’s back and started to walk away.

Who knew that He Mu would grab his arm and push him onto the sofa. Before he could react, He Mu sat down on his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck. He was startled and instinctively tried to push her away, but He Mu seemed to sense his intention and shifted on his lap as if she couldn’t sit still.

Afraid that he would fall, Chang Ming’an quickly changed from pushing to hugging, placing his hand on He Mu’s waist.

He Mu’s cheongsams are all altered to fit her body size, making them look good and form-fitting. When she sits, her waist and hips are taut, her waist is a small indentation, her buttocks are a rounded curve, and the lines are clearly defined all the way down to her thighs.

The onlookers reacted enthusiastically, with some even encouraging them to kiss, but Xiao Ling, who wanted to intervene, was too angry to speak.

Chang Ming’an held a person radiating warmth in his arms, feeling awkward and unsure of what to do. He wanted to let go but was afraid He Mu would lose his balance. He wanted to hug her but felt it would be abrupt. He Mu, however, seemed oblivious to his predicament, instead snuggling closer into his arms, his thighs pressed against his sensitive areas, his face close to the crook of Chang Ming’an’s neck, his cool nose like a cat’s, rubbing against his ear, breathing softly, and whispering, “Do you like him…?”

Chang Ming’an felt a surge of heat, as if his back was about to break out in a sweat. He suddenly tightened his grip on He Mu’s waist, digging into her flesh, and said angrily, “Don’t move.”

He Mu ignored him, circling his fingers around the back of Chang Ming’an’s neck, and said, “Did you hear what they were saying…?”

Chang Ming’an couldn’t hear anything. All the noise from the crowd was just a buzzing murmur. He could only hear He Mu breathing heavily in his ear. To accommodate customers wearing skirts, the bar was very warm, almost too warm, and a thin layer of sweat appeared where their skin was touching, making it very sticky.

He Mu sat on his lap, pulled down his hand, made Chang Ming’an lower his head, opened his mouth slightly, closed his eyes, and directly sealed his mouth with hers.

Caught off guard, Chang Ming’an opened his eyes and saw He Mu’s face slightly turned to the side, closer than a safe distance. He could see He Mu’s eyes closed, his eyelashes trembling slightly, and the beauty mark under his eye, not far below the narrow eyeliner, neither too dark nor too light. He Mu’s breath was warm and moist, carrying his own unique plum blossom scent, and his lips were soft, pressed against his own.

Chang Ming’an thought of the bright red mark on his lips, which was now imprinted on his own lips.

Just by being pressed together like this, He Mu felt like a rabbit was about to jump out of his heart. He forgot all his skills and didn’t even know where he was. He stuck out a little bit of his tongue and clumsily squeezed it into the gap between Chang Ming’an’s lips to gently tap Chang Ming’an’s tightly closed teeth.

Chang Ming’an never expected things to develop this way. He had been led by the nose by He Mu all night. He watched coldly from the sidelines, and when he got angry, He Mu pestered him, leaving him helpless. Even now, he was being teased by He Mu and was completely flustered. The nameless anger that had finally subsided in his heart had risen again.

Even the most composed and easygoing gentleman would get angry. Chang Ming’an raised his hand and gripped the back of He Mu’s neck, his mouth slightly open. He Mu took the opportunity to slip his tongue inside, eagerly trying to entwine with Chang Ming’an. Their tongues brushed against each other wetly, but then Chang Ming’an stepped back and bit his lip. He Mu let out a muffled “uh” in pain, not like pain, but more like a low moan of passion.

Chang Ming’an hurriedly stepped back, sweat beading on his nose. Their lips parted, but their eyes met. He Mu’s lipstick was completely smudged, and there was a clear teeth mark on her lower lip, as if they had just had a passionate kiss. Her eyes were glistening with tears, and the flush on her face even overshadowed her blush. In the dim light, she looked as if she were drunk.

He Mu stared blankly as he reached out to wipe Chang Ming’an’s lips. There was also a little bit of lipstick on Chang Ming’an’s lips, a blurry patch, which suddenly gave his usually composed and polite features an indescribable look.

The onlookers cheered, the DJ changed the song, and the singer’s husky, lingering voice suddenly filled the room with a hormonal atmosphere. Seeing that they had calmed down, the others started looking for their partners. Lian Heng sat down on the bar, wrapped her arms around the waiter’s neck, and began to kiss him passionately, their tongues intertwining like mating snakes.

Chang Ming’an held He Mu’s white fingers in one hand and supported his waist with the other to help him stand up. He then helped him put on a coat and a scarf and pulled him outside.

The cold wind cleared He Mu’s throbbing head considerably. He couldn’t help but feel uneasy and looked at Chang Ming’an’s face. He saw that Chang Ming’an’s brows were still furrowed, and he was still angry, but his hand was still being held by Chang Ming’an.

Chang Ming’an let go of him and went to drive the car over. In that short time, He Mu was freezing, constantly stamping his feet and breathing on them to warm them up. As soon as the car arrived, he immediately opened the door and sat in the passenger seat. The heater gradually warmed the car. Chang Ming’an still didn’t say anything, took a tissue from the tissue box, and wiped the lipstick stain from his lips. A red stain was quickly left on the snow-white tissue. He crumpled the tissue and held it in his hand.

He Mu also grabbed a tissue, intending to wipe away all the lipstick that was already smeared into a mess, but she forgot about the teeth marks on her lips. Chang Ming’an’s bite was clearly out of anger, and the tissue stung painfully when it touched her lips, making He Mu gasp in pain, feeling extremely wronged.

“Don’t move.”

Chang Ming’an quickly grabbed He Mu’s wrist, his voice devoid of emotion, and snatched the tissue from He Mu’s hand, carefully wiping away the lipstick while avoiding the teeth marks.

Looking at Chang Ming’an’s focused gaze, He Mu began to have his own thoughts.

Although kissing wasn’t allowed, offering him a seat and a hug was nice. He sensed that Chang Ming’an was gradually lowering his standards. He thought for a moment and said, “I’m only here today to deliver some clothes that need mending to my friend.”

Chang Ming’an was still wiping carefully, and said “hmm” to indicate that he understood.

Chang Ming’an’s tolerance and repeated lowering of his bottom line gave He Mu courage, so he said, “I used to come here often, to drink, to have fun, or to find… to find a companion, but I haven’t been here for a long time…”

Chang Ming’an pinched He Mu’s chin, took back the tissue, tossed it aside, and said casually, “I know.”

He started the car and drove home in the cold winter night.

He Mu found that Chang Ming’an was good-natured and not angry, which made him uneasy. It was as if his words couldn’t even stir up the slightest ripple in Chang Ming’an’s heart. He continued, “I helped you out of that situation tonight, otherwise you would have been forced to kiss by someone else.”

Chang Ming’an stared intently at the road ahead, his anger rising again. He was never one to get angry so easily, but tonight he seemed to be on edge.

“You came to my rescue?” Chang Ming’an abruptly turned the steering wheel towards home. “Then I should thank you?”

“You’re welcome.”

He Mu retorted, and the two of them fell silent.

Christmas is just around the corner, and some shops have already put up reindeer-patterned window decorations. The weather forecast says there will be snow within the next week, which will be the first snow of the year.
