Sometimes I feel annoyed with MC. What he did is logically reasonable but I can’t help myself to dislike how he treats ML. I want to like him but I can’t. I don’t even know why I don’t like him. I guess because he acts spoiled.
I just can’t believe these are just 18 or 19 year old teenagers. XS don’t scold our puppy like that he just don’t want to loose you!! 😭
The way Xian Sheng reprimand Zhan Zhen is very intense i feel like I’m in Zhan Zhen’s shoes.
I can understand both of their feelings, and XS’s words gave me more insights to their situation. Although sometimes XS being a bit unfair to ZZ, ZZ also need to be tougher if he really want to protect his family.
ZZ has been told this by XS numerous times, only XS compromised coz ZZ is so spoiled and naive. This is why i keep saying that XS deserve someone wiser, but ig XS will be the person to push ZZ to maturity. Like the last question is basically a concrete example of ZZ ultimately knowing nothing about XS after all these up and downs…i mean, dont we remember ZZ also asking XS to think for a plan coz ZZ’s best plan was XS to pretend he died lmao
Also i just want to remind readers who side with ZZ that XS has been at the edge of the cliff since day 1 while your so called puppy thought with his junior and have never considered that maybe, just maybe XS had 2 countries weighing down on his shoulders. Even the empress reminded ZZ that their “marital problems” isnt just between them coz people are getting killed and will be killed whenever they have friction coz XS is from a conquered country. XS always had to mind even his clothes when he presented himself to both states. Yet somehow it is XS who is unreasonable and spoiled—im venting coz XS is literally going thru the motions as a cisman who is suddenly “pregnant” and his “worried husband” won’t listen to reason simply coz he is worried.
He never had to really consider the 2 countries. He only cares about his own, his family, his brother. I’m not saying he is wrong, just a bit more pragmatic. If that means he deserves better, take him away, by all means. I’m not attached to him at all.
Saying ZZ is not mature is wrong, it’s just the author who wants to position the MC on a higher level. He portrays him as the best, the prettiest, the wisest, the most intelligent… how did he gain all that, I guess from suffering all his life, or better he is born a genius… This is just ridiculous to make a character that’s so cheated. But that’s only my opinion. :p
I mean it becomes so predictable. The MC will always be right, the only good solution is the solution that he produces, I’m not saying I dislike this kind of light writing, but I just feel bad for ZZ because he is deliberately made dumb by the author to once again show how great her precious MC is.
They needed to talk their situation out for quite sometimes.. Glad they did..
Xian continues to talk out the side of his neck at every chance. There is no logic in using a pregnant person as bait, when on multiple occasions he was kidnapped and taken already.(if that was such a great idea, why yall haven’t got him yet?) And even if that wasn’t the case, how does ZZ not waiting to use his pregnant wife as bait make him immature and unworthy of being the emperor? Xian just be talking. He gets upset over the smallest shit and then takes any insecurity and exploits it. It’s fine to do shit like that to randoms, when you’re trying to survive but why is the only person Xian tries to make feel small only ZZ? He consistently never has his back and just gaslights him. Xian, has no accountability and once again the author wants Xian to come off wise and strategic so they dumb down ZZ.
