WCHM Chapter 53

[Second World – ABO Plot – Poor Beta Student] Chapter 53

Lin Jingsi’s grip tightened, and a faint ache spread from the ring finger where the metal pressed against his skin.

Overhead lights poured down across the Alpha’s sharp features, casting his handsome face into something almost sculptural, cold, and unyielding. When Lu Chi met those eyes, filled with restrained fury and warning, he could clearly see the vicious edge he wasn’t even bothering to hide.

Lin Jingsi was genuinely angry.

Angry that Lu Chi had mistaken him, again and again, for someone else.

And yet, in that moment, Lu Chi suddenly realized…

The man before him was not quite the same as the one from the previous world.

Maybe it was years spent with mecha, or maybe it was simply his current identity as an S-class Alpha, but… while twenty-year-old Liang Jiashu had been gloomy and indifferent, twenty-four-year-old Lin Jingsi was all sharp edges and violence, his presence alone enough to drive the timid into retreat.

…He was a fully grown beast now.

The softness of youth stripped away, leaving behind hardened armor and lethal claws. There was something undeniably aggressive about him, something that shattered the lingering illusion between past and present, cleanly separating him from Liang Jiashu.

At the very least, Liang Jiashu had never treated him this way.

Only then did Lu Chi truly register it.

This was a different world.

And the man in front of him… was entirely new.

At least here, Lin Jingsi existed as his own person.

He shouldn’t be projecting Liang Jiashu onto him, shouldn’t be letting those shadows overlap without thought. That kind of mistake was beneath him, and Lu Chi had always been precise, always kept his roles cleanly separated.

The lighting remained bright.

Sensing fluctuations in its owner’s emotional state, the AI began releasing a fine mist meant to calm agitation. The Beta, wearing a diamond ring, suddenly lifted his gaze, but the faint smile faded from his expression, replaced with something distant and cool.

Lin Jingsi’s heart sank.

From the moment they met, there had always been something in Lu Chi’s demeanor, something familiar, something indulgent. Now it was gone.

“You…” he started.

Lu Chi released his grip on his collar and slipped free from his hold. His sharp, elegant features lifted slightly as he cut him off, polite but detached:

“When did I say I wanted to sleep with you?”

“……”

He adjusted the ring on his finger, then looked at him with casual indifference, like a stranger meeting him for the first time.

“Senior, you misunderstood. I just like wearing this ring.”

There had never been any intention of getting involved with you.

Lin Jingsi’s breathing deepened, his expression turning colder as their eyes met. He caught the shift in Lu Chi’s mood instantly and dropped all mention of “bed partners” without hesitation. Reaching out, he pressed a hand against Lu Chi’s waist, fingers brushing lightly as he said: “Your body needs release.”

If he didn’t… it would only get worse.

Lu Chi gave a small hum, but didn’t even look at him this time. Instead, he picked up the injector on the table and, without hesitation, aimed it at his own neck.

However, he had no idea the drug needed to be administered near the gland. Injecting it elsewhere could actually make things worse, and Lin Jingsi’s pupils shrank as he grabbed him instantly, voice sharp with rare anger:

“Don’t move! If you need something, tell me!”

Lu Chi frowned. Then, without warning, he slapped him across the face. The sound cracked through the air.

“Try raising your voice at me again.”

His tone was eerily calm, and the force of it left a red mark blooming across the Alpha’s cheek.

“……”

Lin Jingsi had never encountered a Beta this outrageous. First, he’d beaten an A-class Alpha half to death… Now he was casually slapping him, too.

And yet… he found himself doing nothing in return.

Fight back? The thought didn’t even form.

Warn him?

…Instead, he realized something far worse.

That slap had felt… good.

Fuck.

The thought came unbidden… of being slapped like this while in bed.

Lin Jingsi clicked his tongue against his teeth, expression blank. After a long moment, he let out a low breath, voice hoarse as he picked up the injector:

“Tilt your head.”

He’d do it for him.

Lu Chi looked at him, face equally unreadable. After a brief pause, he tilted his slender, pale neck with an air of quiet superiority, like a cat graciously allowing attention. The needle pierced near the gland, cool liquid flowing in, and almost instantly, a strange, soothing sensation spread through his body.

Lu Chi blinked, surprised at the unfamiliar comfort. When Lin Jingsi finished carefully, he couldn’t help but lift a hand and touch the right side of his neck.

There, just beneath the skin, lay his underdeveloped Beta gland.

Under the effect of the drug, it had softened and subtly swollen, feeling faintly elastic beneath his fingertips. He didn’t realize what he was doing, but the moment he exposed that spot, Lin Jingsi saw everything.

Lu Chi kept touching it absentmindedly. And then, a strange sensation crept in. A subtle swelling. Tightened breath.

It felt… wrong.

Like touching himself openly, without any sense of shame.

Lu Chi startled. He hadn’t expected this unfamiliar Beta body to be so sensitive, so without another word, he jumped off the table, already moving toward the exit and brushing it off casually:

“Thanks, Senior. I’ll head out first.”

However, Lin Jingsi frowned. His hand shot out, wrapping firmly around Lu Chi’s wrist as he yanked him back in front of him.

“Where are you going?” His voice dropped, tense. “What happened tonight isn’t over. If you go back now, the enforcement team will detain you immediately.”

The Federation Academy’s combat tournament lasted two weeks. To prevent outside interference, students weren’t allowed to freely leave the floating island during that time. If Lu Chi returned to the dorms now, there was a high chance the Luo family would catch him first.

Lin Jingsi pressed him back against the table, refusing to give even a step, as if he truly meant to keep him there. Lu Chi met his gaze, eyebrow lifting slightly, a faint smile playing on his lips.

“Isn’t that what you’re for, Senior?”

He knew.

Even in a completely new world, that man still had the same presence, something that drew every gaze and stirred instinctive attraction. Push when needed. Pull back when required.

Control.

Always.

So the long-haired Beta shook off his hand, his expression turning impatient as the half-lidded eyes beneath his bangs glanced at him coolly.

“I’ve got things to do. I’m really leaving.”

After all, there was only one week left, and Lu Chi planned to go practice piloting a mecha. And if his mental strength wasn’t enough, then at least practice how to stall long enough to surrender.

He had no intention of ending up brain-damaged in the arena, but Lin Jingsi misunderstood. His aura instantly sharpened, and he grabbed Lu Chi’s hand again, tighter this time.

Rough fingertips pressed into soft skin.

“Things to do?” His voice turned cold, dangerous. “Going to find him to deal with it?”

“…Who?” Lu Chi paused, genuinely confused.

Lin Jingsi stared at him. Without warning, his arm wrapped tightly around Lu Chi’s waist, pressing against the still unresolved reaction of his body.

“…!”

Lu Chi’s body tensed instantly, and he grabbed at Lin Jingsi’s hand on instinct. Already sensitive, the contact only intensified everything as a soft, involuntary breath escaped him.

The corners of his eyes flushed red, lashes trembling, damp and unbearably beautiful. Lin Jingsi trapped him in the narrow space between himself and the table, his expression darkening in desire laced with sharp, ugly jealousy.

“Looking like this, like anyone can touch you, who exactly are you going out to find?”

That so-called bed partner of yours?

The one who influenced your every expression, the one who taught you how to slap without hesitation.

Lin Jingsi felt his chest tighten, and even his vision blurred faintly with jealousy. He had just come out of the combat arena. The violence still lingered in his bones, his emotions closer to the surface than usual.

Looking at Lu Chi’s indifferent eyes, his temples throbbed. A harsh, mocking smile pulled at his lips.

“Or is it more than one? Planning to find several partners?”

“Do you prefer Alphas or Omegas? Will they touch your gland like that, too, make you go into heat while they lick you?”

He sounded crude, completely unlike the cold, composed image he usually maintained. All because of a few careless words from Lu Chi.

And yet, Lu Chi only looked at him…

Like he was watching a dog lose its mind on its own.

After a moment, the Beta steadied his breathing and lifted his gaze, utterly detached.

“What does that have to do with you?” He asked. “Lin Jingsi, who I sleep with, or how many people I sleep with, has nothing to do with you.”

All the faint indulgence from earlier was gone. His pale brown eyes cooled, distant and unfeeling, like he was speaking to a stranger.

“Who do you think you are? What gives you the right to control me?”

“Let go.”

Lin Jingsi’s pupils constricted, staring at him. Anger burned through his mind, leaving it blank in a way he’d never experienced before. With no experience in relationships, he found himself completely at a loss. After a few sharp breaths, he suddenly reached out, gripping Lu Chi’s jaw tightly and forcing a kiss down on him.

But he didn’t make it.

Lu Chi dodged instantly. At the same time, his hand shot up, grabbing Lin Jingsi by the hair and slamming his head down onto the table.

A loud metallic clang echoed, and Lin Jingsi didn’t resist.

The AI’s gentle voice sounded:

[Detected emotional instability. Would you like to administer Alpha-specific calming agents?]

Lu Chi let out a soft laugh, looking down at him from above.

“Did you hear that? Stop acting crazy.”

His body was still caught in the aftereffects of the induced heat. His fingers were soft, his strength not particularly great, and Lin Jingsi turned his head slightly, staring at the Beta’s lips and nose at close range.

After a moment, he suddenly grabbed the hand pressing him down and bit, then licked it. His green eyes darkened.

“You’re shaking.”

Beta physiology was too weak.

Lu Chi had just taken stimulants, then been injected with suppressants. His body was caught in a strange in-between state, unable to handle any stimulation. Even the rough fabric against his skin made his breathing uneven.

The slightest movement sent faint tremors through his waist, through his hands.

Lu Chi clicked his tongue, annoyed at the Alpha’s sharp perception.

The damp heat of his tongue against his fingers was intimate, intrusive even. Then he heard Lin Jingsi say, voice low:

“Let me take care of it for you.”

Lu Chi met his eyes and suddenly smiled.

“Even if I’m wearing someone else’s ring?”

Lin Jingsi gave a low hum, all pride from before gone. He lowered his head, licking slowly from fingertips to wrist, voice hoarse:

“Even if you’re wearing someone else’s ring.”

Marks bloomed across pale skin.

His kisses trailed down to the collarbone. Then he leaned closer to the gland at the back of Lu Chi’s neck, breathing shallow, inhaling that faint, snow-like scent. He lingered there, holding himself back with effort before speaking in a low voice:

“At least right now… what you feel is mine.”

Lu Chi raised a brow.

He neither resisted nor responded, simply leaning lazily against the table, letting the Alpha do as he pleased.

Zippers tore open, and fabric slipped away.

Lin Jingsi’s kisses came one after another, hot, wet, and relentless. He seemed to instinctively pick up technique, using the roof of his mouth, occasionally brushing with his teeth, skillful in a way that made Lu Chi’s grip tighten, then loosen.

Sometimes he went deeper.

Kneeling like that, it didn’t take long before Lu Chi felt his calf pressed down by Lin Jingsi’s knee. The Alpha stayed close, tightly pressed against him. Kneeling, kissing him, while grinding lightly against his leg, breathing quickly.

No different from a dog in heat.

Only the second time, and already far more practiced, more varied.

Lu Chi lowered his gaze. Suddenly, he grabbed Lin Jingsi’s hair and pulled him up, and their faces collided lightly, brushing against each other. Lin Jingsi caught his movement, even guiding it, letting himself be struck, letting the man’s sharp features drag and press against his sensitive nerves.

The air filled with that faint, sweet metallic scent, like snow tinged with blood.

Moisture deepened in Lu Chi’s eyes. He tightened his grip in the Alpha’s hair, breathing down at him from above.

“…You’re enjoying this, aren’t you?”

“Very much.” Lin Jingsi’s breathing was heavy, his voice rough. However, his movements didn’t stop, and his green eyes stayed locked on Lu Chi’s face.

Watching that beautiful face lose control made everything feel even better.

He could see everything.

The practiced tilt of his head.

The lifted corners of his eyes.

The flushed lips.

The unconscious flick of his tongue.

The way his body sometimes tightened, sometimes teased with the faintest movement of his hand. The breath that slipped out when his throat moved. And uncontrollably, Lin Jingsi thought…

When Lu Chi had been with others before… he must have looked like this too.

No.

At the beginning… he must have been inexperienced.

Clumsy.

It was that person who had turned Lu Chi into someone this composed, this effortlessly in control.

How many times had they done it?

Did they lick him? Swallow him? Deeper than he did?

What positions did they use? What tricks?

Betas didn’t have a reproductive cavity, and Lu Chi clearly preferred being on top. So what was the other person?

A shameless Omega?

Or an even more debased Alpha?

…Did they use protection?

One thought after another drove Lin Jingsi to the brink of madness, but he had never imagined he would lose control over something like this. Raised in the military since childhood, the first lesson carved into him was simple:

Always remain calm.

No matter the situation. Even in the face of death.

Calmness was survival.

For twenty-four years, Lin Jingsi’s heart rate had never fluctuated beyond control. Killing meant nothing to him. Interrogations were cold and methodical. Only when piloting a mecha in simulated battle did his adrenaline spike, driven by killing intent.

And yet a few casual words from Lu Chi shattered all of that. Those imagined scenes, Lu Chi with someone else, smiling at someone else, being held by someone else…

They clung to his mind like parasites, impossible to shake off.

The S-class Alpha dropped to his knees once more.

After a moment, he deliberately tightened his breathing, forcing himself into a suffocating state, inhaling the faint scent of the Beta deeply, almost choking on it.

Lu Chi looked down at his unfocused eyes. Then…

Slap!

Clean. Ruthless.

Lin Jingsi let out a muffled grunt, caught off guard, but before he could react, Lu Chi grabbed his hair and struck him twice more without a word. The sharp sound echoed through the silent cockpit as his jaw reddened and began to swell.

Lu Chi pressed a foot against his pants, looking down expressionlessly.

“You like this?”

Lin Jingsi’s breathing was uneven. After a moment, he spoke, but his answer went in an entirely different direction:

“…Was he that deep?”

“……”

Lu Chi was genuinely getting annoyed, and without the emotional carryover from the previous world, his patience was gone. Tilting his head, he looked at him coldly, asking:

“Lin Jingsi, are you a fucking masochist?”

He didn’t like his ring. Didn’t want to hear about any other man. Yet here he was, unable to stop imagining it himself, working himself into a frenzy.

Unexpectedly…

At that insult, Lin Jingsi actually hardened further, pressing sharply against Lu Chi’s foot. His gaze darkened, voice hoarse.

“You didn’t play like this with him, did you?”

Lu Chi wasn’t someone who liked to curse during sex, so that meant…

He was the first. The first person Lu Chi had ever called something like that. No one else had been treated this way.

Lu Chi paused. Then, after a moment, he let out a soft, quiet laugh.

What could he say?!

The Protagonist was still the Protagonist, ah!

Even in a new world, he could still leave him momentarily speechless, but Lin Jingsi had already grown more excited.

He suddenly surged forward, pinning Lu Chi down. Caught off guard, Lu Chi fell back against the table. The friction of fabric against his skin made him tremble instantly, and a soft gasp escaped him.

He slapped him again, his voice shaking slightly:

“Are you sick? Mm… ah…”

Lin Jingsi’s breath was hot. Instead of kissing his lips, he moved lower, pressing kisses along his collarbone, then further down. His green eyes widened with excitement as he gripped Lu Chi’s waist tightly, mumbling:

“Lu Chi… your name suits you.”

He had seen the name tag on his clothes:

[Federation Academy – Lu Chi]

Lu Chi tilted his head back and kicked him hard, but Lin Jingsi caught his foot, pressing it forcefully against himself, making him step on him.

“Lu Chi…” his voice was hoarse, “curse me like before.”

Call me something no one else ever had.

Lu Chi called him insane.

In return, Lin Jingsi bit down harder.

The long-haired Beta laughed softly, eyes closing as he exhaled heated breath. A moment later, Lu Chi pushed himself up and kicked him down onto the carpet. Under the bright lights, his torn clothes revealed everything: his pale skin, flushed and marked with bites and kisses.

Lin Jingsi met those light brown eyes, his throat tightening.

Lu Chi stepped down, bare toes pressing against him, only to be seized tightly, just like a dog.

“…Tch.”

Lu Chi looked down at him with a faint, amused smile.

Then, feeling the dampness beneath his foot, he frowned slightly in distaste, slapped him again, and pulled him closer.

Lin Jingsi heard the light, dismissive judgment fall from his lips:

“Pathetic dog.”

……………

By the time they finished cleaning up in the S-class lounge and changed clothes, it was already morning. Lu Chi opened the metal door and stepped out, his expression calm.

The system’s voice rang cheerfully in his ears, completely oblivious to the marks covering his body:

[Good morning, Baby! Is it just me, or do you look even better today?]

He quite liked talking to the system, Lu Chi thought. It felt like the folds of his brain were being smoothed out, super relaxing.

He gave a soft “mm,” then opened the terminal map.

[Let’s go to the mecha training room first.]

But then, his movement paused. Lu Chi looked up, eyes narrowing slightly as he focused on the top of his messages.

A friend request.

From someone named:

[Yu Kexing]

T.N: Well, the system was right; Lu Chi does lack morality :)) Poor crazy Liang Jiashu gave his all but still ended up forgotten, God knows where :)) I mean, he and this Lin Jingsi are definitely the same person, and Lu Chi obviously knows it as well, but still, he’s rebounding way too quickly :))

Story Synopsis:

When Jian Ru was young, a fire took both his parents and half his face. Though he survived, one of his legs was left crippled, and the scar running across his ruined features made him the subject of fear, pity, and quiet disgust for years.

Still, he endured.

Then the floods came to Changshou Village.

Fields were destroyed, homes swallowed by water, and the villagers decided the River God needed a sacrifice. But the one they chose was not Jian Ru.

It was Zhang Jiao, the village’s gentle and beautiful ger.

Jian Ru rushed forward, ready to fight for his life, but instead, he was the one tied up, gagged, and forced beneath a red bridal veil.

“Don’t blame us,” someone whispered beside his ear. “Jiao’ger is timid. He’d be afraid. You’re already crippled anyway.”

“Better to fulfill this for us.”

That night, Jian Ru fell into the river, prepared to die. But when he woke again beneath the red veil, the River God before him was not a monster at all.

The man had long black hair, startling beauty, and skin pale with illness, but after taking one look at Jian Ru’s scarred face…

…the River God was so shocked he fainted on the spot.

With no firewood in the cave and the man burning with fever, Jian Ru had no choice but to hold him through the night to keep him warm.

Only afterward did he discover…

The man was no River God.

He was Li Jintong, the frail second young master of the town physician’s family.

Jian Ru thought Li Jintong married him only to take responsibility for that night.

Instead, their days together slowly became warmer and fuller than he had ever imagined.
