Morning and Evening Chapter 14

Just now at the dinner table, a few students offered Chang Ming’an a perfunctory toast with beer. With the project nearing completion, Chang Ming’an was happy and drank a few glasses. His alcohol tolerance was neither good nor bad, and after a few glasses of beer, he was pleasantly tipsy. When he got home, he was languid in all his movements, and his usually not-so-obvious drooping eyes were half-closed, giving him a more tender look when he looked at people.

He Mu was preoccupied with his own thoughts. By the time he finished showering, Chang Ming’an was already dozing off in bed.

He walked over and stood by the bed, leaning down to look at Chang Ming’an. His hair, which was draped behind his head, slipped down from his shoulders, the ends brushing against Chang Ming’an’s straight nose. Chang Ming’an frowned, slightly opened his eyes, and focused his gaze on the expressionless He Mu. He childishly blew on the ticklish ends of his hair and said sleepily, “Go to sleep.”

He Mu pinched a lock of hair and deliberately brushed against Chang Ming’an’s eyelids. Chang Ming’an was already on the verge of falling asleep. His eyes moved slightly under his eyelids, and he mumbled sleepily, “Stop messing around, Mu Mu.”

Is it “Mumu” or “Mumu”?

He Mu tucked his hair behind his ears, his heart pounding wildly, as if they were intimate lovers who had each taken a shower and then cuddled together until dawn.

Chang Ming’an gradually fell asleep, his expression calm and his breathing steady.

He Mu frowned in distress, seemingly unable to figure out how to make others like him. He thought about it seriously for a while, then reached out and gently touched Chang Ming’an’s lips with his fingertip.

He reached out and pulled the slipped strap of his nightgown back onto his shoulder. The late autumn night wind was a bit chilly, making him shiver and goosebumps rise on his fair skin, making him yearn for a warm bed and a warm body.

He Mu tiptoed to the foot of the bed, lifted a corner of the blanket, and slipped under it from Chang Ming’an’s feet, creating a large bulge in the blanket. The blanket was warm, filled with the fresh scent of shower gel. He Mu’s naked skin was in direct contact with the soft blanket, a feeling so comfortable it made one want to sigh.

Chang Ming’an seemed to sense something in his dream and tried to turn over, but He Mu lay on top of him, burying his head in the crook of his neck and lightly kissing the skin of his neck with his lips. He spread his legs apart and wrapped them around Chang Ming’an’s waist, rubbing against him gently up and down.

Chang Ming’an felt a warm body pressing down on him. He was very sleepy, and with his eyes closed, he reached out to pull the person on top of him. His hands were covered in slippery fabric, and he had nowhere to start. He could only grope around haphazardly. He grabbed He Mu’s arm and tried to pull him away.

As he was touched from waist to back and then to arms, He Mu felt a surge of heat throughout his body. He let out a heavy breath in Chang Ming’an’s ear, and his manhood beneath his silk nightgown suddenly became engorged with blood. A torrent of passion surged forth, like a giant wave crashing over the sea at high tide, knocking him to the ground. He tightened his thighs, pressing against Chang Ming’an, his lips slightly parted, exhaling hot breath, biting Chang Ming’an’s earlobe like a desert traveler yearning for an oasis after a long journey.

He ignored Chang Ming’an’s attempt to pull him away, opened one hand, and placed it on Chang Ming’an’s firm but not exaggerated pectoral muscles, feeling his heart beating steadily and powerfully under his hand. His other hand stroked downwards, accurately grasping Chang Ming’an’s chest through his pajama bottoms.

Chang Ming’an woke up with a start. The crisp scent of plum blossoms, warmed by the warmth of the blankets, suddenly became gentle and alluring. It took him three seconds to realize that the person rubbing and stroking him was He Mu. His long hair, like soft yet strong vines, meandered across his chest and wrapped around his neck.

By the dim light of the bedside lamp, he looked down and saw a small section of He Mu’s snow-white neck peeking out from the side.

“Hmm—”

Chang Ming’an groaned softly. He Mu was breathing heavily in his ear, with a few moans escaping from his nose. He felt a long-lost desire resurface. But he still held onto the string of reason, his hand still on He Mu’s arm, trying to pull him up, saying as he pulled, “He Mu, you… you get up…”

He Mu was blinded by desire and disregarded everything else, even reaching his hand inside Chang Ming’an’s waistband and grabbing his engorged head.

Chang Ming’an felt a tightening in his lower abdomen, and his legs, which had been flat, bent up. With a flip, he threw He Mu, who had been on top, onto the bed, and the two switched positions.

Startled by the sudden dizziness, He Mu lay flat on the bed, his shoulders gripped tightly by Chang Ming’an’s hands, pinned to the bed. Unable to break free, he looked up and met Chang Ming’an’s gaze. Chang Ming’an was panting, his eyes narrowed, his lips pressed tightly together, and his eyes filled with anger. He was a far cry from his usual gentle and soothing demeanor, resembling a stern and authoritative teacher.

But he still persisted.

Their breaths mingled, Chang Ming’an’s breath still carrying a faint hint of alcohol. He Mu raised his leg, gently nudging his knee upwards. He held his finger out in front of Chang Ming’an, the tip still slightly damp with a hint of ambiguity. He deliberately and slowly brought his finger to his lips, then stuck out his tongue and licked it like a kitten drinking water. Chang Ming’an closed his eyes, took a deep breath, threw off the covers, stood up, and strode out of the room.

He Mu lay in bed and heard the bathroom door next door slam shut with a loud “bang,” which sounded especially loud in the night. He lay on his side, clutching Chang Ming’an’s pillow tightly to his chest, and in a fit of despair, he reached his hand under the hem of his nightgown and frantically masturbated, finally releasing it into his own hand.

He wiped his hands clean, sat up blankly, and Mumu came in from outside the door, circling around his feet a few times.

He Mu hooked her chin with his toe and asked, “Is he angry?”

People who are usually calm can be frightening when they get angry. He Mu was a little at a loss, but he didn’t know what other method to use. He always did this, making everyone’s attention focus on him. He hoped that Chang Ming’an would be no exception, but he was also secretly pleased that Chang Ming’an was an exception. For a moment, he was torn between his own thoughts, and after hesitating for a long time, he walked out barefoot.

Chang Ming’an had come out of the bathroom and was standing on the balcony smoking, the glow of his cigarette flickering with each breath.

He Mu walked over and opened the balcony door, and a gust of cold wind immediately filled his skirt.

Chang Ming’an glanced back at him, his face unreadable, then casually grabbed a blanket from the rattan chair on the balcony and draped it over He Mu, saying, “Don’t catch a cold.”

He Mu was overjoyed and was about to speak when Chang Ming’an said, “Have you always been like this?”

Have you always been like this, using this method to make others crave you, succumbing to the instinct of desire?

He Mu’s heart plummeted from the clouds to the ground, a sharp, throbbing pain shooting through him. He said coldly, “Have you always been like this?”

Have you always been like this? You are so considerate of people, making them feel close to you, but they only get close and never truly reach your heart.

He Mu felt utterly ashamed. He turned and went back to the bedroom, grabbed his blanket, spread it on the sofa, curled up in a ball, and closed his eyes. He heard Chang Ming’an’s footsteps pause beside him, but he eventually went into the bedroom.

Mumu came out of the room again. She clung to He Mu even more than she clung to Chang Ming’an. She stood up, put her front paws on the edge of the sofa, and touched He Mu’s nose with her wet little nose. He Mu suddenly opened his eyes and picked her up and put her in bed.
