Chapter 64: Meet the Parent + Scum man’s Regret (Part 2)

Ms. Luo reacted after a long time: “…You guys, are you serious?”

Jing Xun earnestly nodded: “Very serious.”

Ms. Luo: “…Wouldn’t this be a little too fast?”

Jing Xun: “It’s a little fast, but…”

But the atmosphere had already developed here.

When he first promised Shen Yijin, they were going to get engaged first, and then get married after he graduated from college.

But after such a long time together….the engagement date was set for Grandpa Shen’s birthday party a few days later, and inexplicably, they decided to get a certificate after the engagement.

It was amazing to think about it even now.

But when he agreed, Jing Xun was also completely sincere from the bottom of his heart.

So there was no regret.

He obviously had clear thoughts, but Jing Xun had a little trouble describing this feeling.

Because he felt that he couldn’t use a few simple words to clarify all the moments he spent with Shen Yijin, as well as his feelings about this person.

Some feelings could only be kept in the heart.

He couldn’t describe it.

Therefore Jing Xun got a little stuck.

Instead, it was Shen Yijin who once again took the initiative to pick up the conversation,  “It is a little fast, but please rest assured, Auntie, Xiao Xun and I are both serious.”

“……”

After hearing what Shen Yijin said and seeing Jing Xun’s reaction with her own eyes, Ms. Luo seemed to understand a little bit.

But even so, she was shocked for a few minutes, during which Ms. Luo’s face changed again and again, and finally she exhaled heavily and said, “Xiao Xun, you go to another room for a while, I want to have a few words with Mr. Shen alone.”

Jing Xun: “……?”

He looked at both of them. Ms. Luo’s expression was full of determination, while the meaning in Shen Yijin’s eyes was appeasement.

——Sir had probably expected that Ms. Luo would want to have a conversation with him.

Not only did he behave calmly, but he also comforted him with his gaze, asking him not to worry.

“……”

Jing Xun finally went to the lounge next door.

The door of the living room was closed. Jing Xun laid on the door panel. Some conversations could be heard, but the specifics were not clear. He could only vaguely hear that the two people were talking peacefully.

The content of their talk shouldn’t be much, because soon… about half an hour later, there was a knock on the closed door of the room.

Shen Yijin’s voice came from outside: “Xiao Xun.”

“What.”

Shen Yijin said, “Come out.”

Jing Xun responded.

He quickly stepped back and opened the door. The moment he opened the door, Shen Yijin’s tall and straight figure appeared in front of him.

Every time he looked at the other party’s cold and handsome face, Jing Xun was subconsciously startled and sighed with emotion at how handsome he was.

But this time, Jing Xun quickly asked with his eyes: Is the talk over?

Shen Yijin: En.

Jing Xun: How was it?

Shen Yijin’s answer was the slight curve of his peach blossom eyes, and the gentle smile at the corner of his lips.

Jing Xun was instantly relieved.

He stood in front of Shen Yijin, wanting to go and hug him a bit, but still held back.

In the end, he just gave the other party a bigger and brighter smile.

The two returned to the living room one after another, and Jing Xun was repeatedly advised a lot by Ms. Luo.

Although she did not oppose the relationship and marriage of the two, she was still worried about many things, and inevitably said a little more.

The topic didn’t end until a while later, when the stepfather who was in charge of shopping came back.

Jing Xun and Shen Yijin did not stay for lunch. After all, this was still a hospital, and it was not suitable for gatherings. After talking about business, the two left.

Just when he was going downstairs, Jing Xun couldn’t hold back, and curiously asked Shen Yijin: “What did my mother talk to you about?”

Shen Yijin organized his language a little: “She probably just wanted to confirm my feelings, and chat about you while we were at it.”

“Huh?” Jing Xun: “Why talk about me?”

Shen Yijin flatly stated: “Your mother feels indebted to you and is not qualified to control you. So more than anything, she wanted to make sure of my heart.”

As he said, he looked at Jing Xun again: “I’m afraid I’ve lied to you.”

“…huh!” Jing Xun blinked, no longer needing to ask Shen Yijin how he answered.

The original Ms. Luo resolutely opposed the original owner being with the scum gong because she felt that he was unreliable and too much of a scum.

But when it came to sir… surprisingly, after only a few words, his mother agreed…

It showed how important moral quality was.

In any case, Ms. Luo smoothly agreed, so Jing Xun was still happy.

And he really liked the image of caring for his “mother” and getting along with sir in harmony!

It was probably a kind of “he is very happy now, so he hopes that the people he cares about and treat him well are also happy”.

Jing Xun also knew that it was a little naive.

But this kind of naive and wishful thinking had been realized in this way!

For Jing Xun, this was equivalent to double happiness!

When he was happy, he suddenly remembered: “By the way, before I came, sir said that my mother would definitely agree…is it because you saw through this long ago? “

Shen Yijin responded noncommittally: “En.”

He looked a little hesitant and stopped.

Jing Xun tilted his head and looked at him strangely, and was held by Shen Yijin again.

The other party said solemnly: “In any case, you are mine now.”

Jing Xun: Ah, this…

Although in accordance with the law that sir would not speak love words, these words should probably be a declaration of sovereignty, meaning: You, Jing Xun, are mine.

Although these words were uttered from the other party, not only were they not nauseating, but they also sounded grand and domineering.

But, but.

Why say this all of a sudden!

Jing Xun buried his head slightly, thinking, okay, anyway, this was also true.

“Of, of course.” He said.

Resisting the searing heat on his cheeks, he raised his head, the eyes that looked at Shen Yijin seemed to have turned into a pool of warm spring water.

Jing Xun also said seriously: “Sir is mine too.”

The two people immediately held hands and walked towards the elevator. The private hospital had five floors, and there were not as many patients as in the public hospital, but there were quite a few.

So Jing Xun didn’t remain too long on the first floor, and returned to the car with Shen Yijin all the way.

During this period, he did not notice a person in a wheelchair in the corridor of the hospital, who showed various complex emotions such as shock, surprise, and disappointment at the sight of him.

“Why did the two of them come to the hospital?” asked Shen Bohan in the wheelchair.

Two days ago, he had a high fever that didn’t go away, and the fever became pneumonia.

The current Er Shao looked nothing like a human nor a ghost. His mother had hired a professional nurse to accompany him 24 hours a day. Shen Bohan’s whole body was clean and tidy, but his spirit had collapsed. His eyes were red and slightly convex, and his complexion was livid, like a living ghost.

Even if he was like this, Shen Bohan couldn’t lie down on the bed either.

As long as he lied down, his head was full of Yan Jingxun’s smiling face, Shen Yijin’s face, and overwhelming comments on the internet in support of them both.

Today his energy had finally improved, so Shen Bohan simply asked someone to push him out to relax.

The current him was too weak to walk alone, and could only travel on a wheelchair.

He never thought that when he was moving in the direction of the elevator, he would see a familiar figure walking out of a suite.

…It’s Yan Jingxun!

Shen Bohan was excited at that moment.

But his voice was hoarse, he wanted to shout but couldn’t make a sound.

And without waiting for him to get closer, immediately after that, he saw Shen Yijin walking out after Yan Jing Xun.

Shen Bohan: “…..”

For whatever reason, Shen Bohan did not move forward.

Instead, he asked the nurse to push him into the shadows, waiting for them to leave quietly.

The fifth floor was a high-class VIP suite. There are very few people who could live in it, and those people were pretty qualified, and wouldn’t make a racket.

So overall it was very quiet.

So much so that Shen Bohan heard them the whole time.

……What’s with Yan Jingxun’s mother?

Yan Jingxun’s mother was here?!

What did Shen Yijin say to Yan Jingxun’s mother? ?

Ignoring the “you are mine” and “I am yours” remarks of the two people behind him, Shen Bohan stubbornly held the wheelchair armrest with a deadly grip.

The back of his hands were bruised, but he couldn’t care less.

Shen Bohan had a vaguely bad premonition.

He had no idea what it was, but the bad feeling was very strong.

He stiffened and hid in the dark, eavesdropping, until the two people disappeared. Afterward, Shen Bohan asked the nurse to push him out again.

“Go to the dean’s office.” He said. .

“The patient in that room has to be paid special attention to, and the information is not easy to obtain.” Facing Er Shao who suddenly asked him for patient information, the dean felt very difficult.

After all, anyone could see how much importance Da Shao Ye placed on the people in that ward.

Without Da Shao Ye’s consent, he did not dare to disclose the patient information privately.

But Da shao ye was not easy to provoke, while Er Shao was not easy to serve.

Er Shao ran out twice in the past few days, and every time Madam Shen would run into his office and have a long-winded conversation with him.

When he thought about this, the dean was also angry– Er Shao had his own hands and feet, can they stop him from running? Madam didn’t discipline her son well but still wanted to teach them…

It’s really hard to be a health care worker these days.

Now he had done it. This ancestor stubbornly tossed himself and became severely ill, so he could only sit in a wheelchair and couldn’t run anymore.

The dean’s only wish at the moment was to heal this ancestor, and then ask him to leave the hospital sooner, preferably never to see him again.

Dean said: “But I can provide you some basic information about the patient, is it ok?”

“En.”

For the first time, Shen Bohan suddenly became very easy to persuade.

Soon, he got some…really basic admission information of that patient.

It was probably only general information such as gender and age.

But this was enough for Shen Bohan.

Coming out of the dean’s office, he made a phone call straight away.

After a while, the other side replied to him.

“…Are you sure that the person I want you to check is Yan Jingxun’s younger brother?”               Er Shao said in a hoarse voice, followed by an unusually violent cough.

The other side “thoughtfully” waited for him to finish coughing before continuing: “Yes, half-brother. He was diagnosed with leukemia three years ago. He received treatment in a public hospital in the past because they could not afford high-cost medical care. He had always lived in a general ward, and the treatment plan was also average. Until not long ago, he was transferred into this hospital by President Shen.”

Shen Bohan: “…..”

He wanted to ask how long was ‘not long ago’.

But on second thought, Shen Yijin and Yan Jingxun hadn’t met until not long ago…

Shen Bohan completely lost his strength, and the phone slipped from his hand.

During this period, he received all sorts of rejection from the senior. He always wondered how their year-long relationship couldn’t compare with the month he spent with Shen Yijin.

But the fact was that Shen Yijin had done everything he didn’t do in that year!!

So why, in this year’s time …… he knew nothing about Yan Jingxun’s family?

He didn’t know that he had a scum father who abandoned his wife and child, or that he had an older brother who often bullied him.

He didn’t even know that he had a sick brother…

Shen Bohan’s mind suddenly reflected the exhaustion that Yan Jingxun often showed in his expression.

At that time, he noticed it, but didn’t take it to heart.

At first, he thought that the senior was very beautiful.

His appearance was somewhat sickly, yet he often showed a smile.

He was like a stubborn flower blooming in a corner of the wall.

But Shen Bohan didn’t know at that time. When he picked this flower and held it in his hand, he didn’t think it was beautiful when he could watch and fondle it all day long.

He even had the heart to watch him pining away and wither all day long…

But what about the current Yan Jingxun.

Thinking back to the senior he met these past few times, the other person’s face was no longer sickly, he looked like a gorgeous rose carefully planted in a flower house, but also like a sunflower that grew naturally in a rice paddy and facing the sun.

Yan Jingxun had become more enthusiastic and lively many times than before.

Of course, these were only when he was in front of Shen Yijin.

  ……

Shen Bohan coughed violently again, as if his entire lungs were about to be coughed out.

However, he tightly covered his chest that was in severe pain.

He never thought that he would be inferior to Shen Yijin.

Even if he was not as good as him now, he firmly believed that he would surpass him in the future.

Even if his ability was not as good as his, at least in terms of emotion, Shen Bohan felt that he was a hundred times more considerate than his indifferent brother!

But in the end… he couldn’t compare to Shen Yijin at all.

He couldn’t do as much as he did. He didn’t treat Yan Jingxun as well as he treated him…

It was not surprising that Yan Jingxun didn’t like him.

Why did he dislike Yan Jingxun in the first place?

Yan Jingxun had no father since he was a child, and he had an inferior complex after suffering so much. He should have given him more love, just like a father and a brother, to protect him and shelter him from wind and rain.

Yan Jingxun’s family situation was not good, he should have tried to help him change the condition… It was just a trivial matter to him!

He could clearly do it, as long as he cared about him a little bit more, asked more questions, and investigated more…

But why……

Why did he do the opposite?

  ……

Shen Bohan laid stunned on his seat, his cough stopped, but hot tears came out of his eyes.

Tears couldn’t stop falling, and they all fell on his own lap.

His heart ached for the past Yan Jingxun.

And hated his past self.

At the same time, he also wanted to see Yan Jingxun’s smiling face.

Even if it was only once, he wanted to see the joy in Yan Jingxun’s eyes.

He wanted the current Yan Jingxun to also smile at him.

  ……

But not anymore.

Shen Bohan knew that there would be no more.

Hua: I wish there’s an extra which the current Shen Bohan transmigrated to meet the original Yan Jingxun in another parallel universe. That would be quite interesting. I want to see how much he regretted this and how he would treat the cowardly Yan Jingxun. ┌( ´_ゝ` )┐

  1. Laura says:

Thank you for the chapter! Though it was really hard to read because there are a lot of popups and I had to keep refreshing and stopping the reload just to read the chap TwT, I even have ad blocker but that did nothing? I’ve disabled the notifs too, used a different browser and switched between phone and laptop… is there anyway this can be fixed?

    1. Miri says:

Try turning off javascript, that works for me.

    2. Hua says:

      Oh no
A few people have reported the same problem. We will look into into it.

  2. Face-con says:

Thank you for your update. I don’t think that he can be redeemed. All he has done to original owner in the book or before MC transmigrated shows that he has a problem with his character and head. He is only regretting this because MC’s boyfriend is someone he can’t touch. Otherwise do you think he won’t do anything scummy to MC or original owner. His love looks more like a hatred to me

    1. Jenny says:

Yes, I agree. We can already see that if Jing Xun had dated someone else, an example would be the senior from his team, Shen Bohan would not feel the same. He would have found it as an insult and only pester Jing Xun or even harm the senior.
Let’s not forget the original Jing Xun was indecisive and a coward, he would always forgive. Even when the original tried escaping, but was instead continously abused. I don’t feel pity for Shen Bohan.

    2. gypsophila_flwr says:

I also agree. And I believe that he only “regret” now because he saw things in the “third person’s view” that’s why he can think that way. Also because now, SYJ is there and did things for YJX, of course, he (SBY) has now someone with who he can do some “comparison” that is mostly about “who does things better.” But if it’s like the original novel, he will still treat the og owner like dirt or an eyesore.

  3. Hehe says:

About the extra— yeah, we’re thinking the same thing. My brain already wrote down the first part lol

    1. Accellia says:

write it please!!! and share!!! ლ(^o^ლ)

  4. Accellia says:

hmm, i like that sunflower description. what SBH did to YJX is like picking sunflower so he can look into it whenever he wants, with no care at all. and when it withering by the time goes, he toss it away. meanwhile SYJ doesn’t stop at picking the sunflower, he plant it in natural garden condition, give it many nutrition and care diligently, so it grows and blooming beautifully. shame on you, SBH.

  5. Carina Wandering Fujoshi says:

    What a nice chapter!
    Oh, oh~ so spicy!?? ??
Scum is suffering and reflecting. Nice ??
It would indeed be interesting to see the mentioned extras. ; )

  6. Riri says:

To tell the truth for me Shen Bohan didn’t do anything wrong. It’s the author (author of the book where our mc transmigrated) fault. Shen Bohan (in the book) can’t think right ..where he locked up the original owner and do some unspeakable stuff, it’s the book he can’t stop what he’s doing unless the author change the scenes. What we know is the point of view of the mc ..that is what he knows when he read the book and heard from his seniors (who recommended the book). What I’m saying is that it’s good enough that Shen Bohan regrets what he had done to our original owner and his wrongdoing. But if it’s just his inferiority complex to Shen Yijin then f*ck him.?

    1. loquentes ineptias says:

He basically treated the original like a thing that he paid a glance to, when he’s in the mood, (especially when it’s still new), he paid lip service to him, and vented his desires. When he’s not, he dismissed him, existence, words, thoughts and all, as if the original was just a thing that has past it’s expiration date or lost its value.

He’s the literal example of a scum. He’s violent as well, if he grew up in a slightly more crude environment, no doubt, the original would’ve been beaten up when he’s angry or moody (physical abuse).

He’s done emotional and psychological abuse. The author depicts a character, what would a character with this kind of qualities would do in certain situation?

It’s not as if there wasn’t a turning point, a redemption chance. When he first met the original under the guise, he knew what he’s like and could’ve cherished him; when he was ridiculed by his ‘friends’, he could’ve spoken up for him, even a word is fine, as long as he has even a bit of protectiveness or possessiveness, he could have, even a bit of common sense or pity (I don’t expect him to have respect for others); the last chance was when the original was about to jump off the building (can be seen that since it was the moment the MC arrived, this was a turning point, usually in other reborn novels, these times are the moment the novel started (start to change, not a completely hopeless situation).

But from start to end, he didn’t, he still thought of him as not human, not the same species as him. ML isn’t involved in this he met him before MC met ML (in the original novel, it was never, as in he never got the chance to get acquainted into anything more than stranger or subordinate) .

    2. weiwei says:

How could you even think that he’s done nothing wrong??? Just because he’s a character arranged by the author??? So like… if there’s a scum man in real life who abused their lover his whole life it’s not his fault because the god made him did so??? This is ridiculous.

He is a grown ass man. Not a child who can’t differentiate right and wrong. It’s always an adult’s responsibility to control their own behavior.

Even if he doesn’t have any inferiority complex against Shen Yijin in the original book, watching his so-called lover being bullied to the point of committing suicide alone is irredeemable.

He is not one to be forgiven. The most generous thing either the current Jingxun or the OG Yan Jingxun could give him was indifference. He isn’t worthy of forgiveness.

  7. Airplane says:

This is so beautiful. Thank you so much!!! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

  8. Aoi says:

oh oh oh. I love the transmigration idea for er shao. it’s like that one extra story in qwfod! and i reaaally really love that extra arc. became one of my favourites, tbh

    1. Isa says:

the pianist extra from qwfod… totally agree with you… i also loved that arc and the extra the author wrote cause the pianist’s fate was heartbreaking

      1. Mndless says:

This part reminds me a lot of the fourth story: Slapping the Pretending-to-be-poor Second Generation. There’s also a touch of the Twins of Different Fate arc. Goodness, Quickly Wear the Face of the Devil is such an iconic series in my mind. It just covers so many different archetypes and tackles the main plot points so, so well. There are plot holes, of course, and the author doesn’t really understand what hackers are and what computers do in enough detail, but the writing is still very satisfying. Probably the reason I think this, though, is because it is an infinite flow series and the individual arcs don’t get the chance to drag on long enough for me to lose interest in the development of the plot.

  9. Ame Chan says:

I disagree with the transmigration for Er Shao. We have been shown the only reason he has regrets now is because his opponent is Shen Yijin, who he can’t touch. He’s not regretting Jing Xun being happy and glowing now, he’s just upset that it’s his brother who has such a terrible reputation that made it happen.

He has a mental problem, and if he got another chance, he would turn around and do the same thing. The author already explicitly told us that in the original story, he had his moments when he was “all about Yan Jingxun” but then he’d get bored and go back to his old ways. He’s infatuated with this strong persona that Jing Xun now has and just wants to break him because someone in his position (yx) shouldn’t be so strong willed.

He’s disgusting and deserves to live alone in pain and agony for many many years!

    1. Luo Xing says:

I agree that Shen Bohan doesn’t deserve a second chance, but I still want an extra because I want the OG Yan Jingxun to personally have the opportunity to reject him.

      Here’s my take:

“Do you want to choose a different novel?” the voice asked.

Yan Jingxun didn’t know whether to be more disturbed or relieved to learn that he was a character in a novel, but he was very sure that if he had to be a character, he didn’t want to be in this novel. Still, he had a cautious personality, so he clarified first.

      “What about my family?”

“There will be a replacement for your role who will take over for you.”

“Would that be too unfair for the replacement?”

“They receive benefits from this arrangement. In their original world, they had a sickly body and died young. They will also be sent to an earlier part of the plot and can make different choices.”

“What kind of novel would I be sent to?” he asked. This was a very important point. Although his story was terrible, he could be sent to some sort of horror story. Though, if he was being honest, fighting zombies might still be a step up.

“It is a shuangwen (爽文) about a lost heir who is recovered. You will transmigrate as the young master of the Yan family who was lost at age 8, lost his memory, and grew up in a homeless shelter. Your family has been desperately searching for you, and finally found you after you entered a prestigious university on a scholarship funded by their company. After reuniting with your family, your memory slowly returns, and you learn that you were deliberately lost and injured by a servant’s son, Shen Boyan. The servant, learning what his son had done, has covered it up and left the family.”

“Wait, Shen Boyan?! I still have to deal with him?!”

“You will transmigrate to shortly before being recognized by your family. Shen Boyan will have already left the Yan family, so it is up to you if you want to ‘deal with him’.” the voice explained.

“Then yes, I want to change novels.”

      “Initiating…”

      ***

Shen Boyan was disturbed to discover that he was the main character in a novel, but still somewhat pleased that even if he didn’t have a good outcome, he was at least still the main character. This lasted only a few seconds before the rest of his memories and the plot of the second novel entered his mind. Tragic main character was bad enough, but failed villain?! This was unacceptable!

Sadly, he was about to accept an even worse fate, as the memories and settings of the new novel he was sent to settled into his brain.

Now he not only had a bad ending, and was a villain, he was also a cannon fodder with barely any scenes, and he was poor!

When did he have to accept such indignity.

Worse than that, the protagonist of this novel was named Yan Jingxun. Shen Boyan had a bad feeling about this….

  10. Isa says:

I agree with translator Hua about an exra for ershao and just like how you presented it… ershao i think can be redeemed since he appears to finally come to some emlightenment and self-awareness about himself and his actions and seem to sincerely regret some things. I mean, yes he was despicable before but i am a sucker for stories where love does change ppl ❤

  11. LalaQ says:

    Thx for the chapter!❤️

  12. Key says:

What I like most about the novel is this, even the scum has a growth as a character. It is really refreshing to see how a character who was scum (and was the main protagonist of the original novel) matures and regrets his mistakes, I mean, it is almost never seen and there are times that although it happens, the authors do not usually do it well, but here … Hats off.

  13. amethist67 says:

I was Also thinking that it would be pretty nice if he can meet the previous owner and right his wrongs but I have a feeling he’s going to die at MC’s wedding because of heart sickness or whatever I don’t want to feel guilty for him I just wish he had more of a chance to make it up to the previous owner because he’s the one that deserved more😮‍💨 🥲

  14. Abibliophobia says:

What’s the use of his regret? It will not bring back the original Yan Jingxun and if ever he did, what’s the assurance that he will not hurt him again? The reason why he is regretting everything he did is not because of “Yan Jingxun” but “Jing xun”. He saw how he changed for good and he was regretting all of it because he failed to notice his brilliance and thought that Yan Jingxun is super ordinary. Yan Jingxun doesn’t deserve him. I don’t think anything will change if he transmigrate and met Yan Jingxun. I believe he will feel passionate at first but feel bored again after a long run.

  15. Mndless says:

The immortal sin-door in his heart and the forever unattainable white moonlight. Goodness this big gong story’s bad ending for the original protagonist is really as cruel as you can get. If it weren’t for the fact that he 100% deserved every bit of this, I might actually pity him.

  16. Wang Ying says:

I agree with huahua.. that would be interesting..

  17. weiwei says:

The only thing I want if there’s really a rebirth story for Shen Boyan is ONLY IF, AND I MEAN ONLY IF the OG Yan Jingxun had the opportunity to grow a bone and NOT dependent on Shen Boyan. Because if not, it would be too unfair for him.

Preferably if Yan Jingxun could find his worth too.

Shen Boyan only regrets everything because of ‘Yan Jingxun’s change’ and it was Shen Yijin who brought that change.

If it was the OG Yan Jingxun, I haven’t slightest doubt that he would go back to his old ways before long because he was bored by the OG Yan Jingxun’s soft personality and the lack of comparison with Shen Yijin.

Shen Yijin gave him the sense of crisis and the cruel comparison, as well as a check on reality. Without Shen Yijin’s involved, he’d still go back to his old ways.

We can see that he didn’t change anything about his personality or behavior. Even right now, he is still reckless, selfish, egoist, and only cared about how it was NOT HIM who changed Jingxun for the better.

He still doesn’t respect Yan Jingxun as a person of his own. It’s all only his inferiority complex speaking, not sincerely because of the remorse he felt.

Heck, he hadn’t even settled the score with his bunch of scum friends for encouraging Yan Jingxun to jump from a building.

  18. Lemon says:

Nope.. Shen Bohan is only showing regret because his rival is his older brother whom he can’t touch.. And also because Jing Xun is like a changed person..

Were it original Jingxun with soft and cowardly personality and his partner was weaker than Shen Bohan, then Bohan would still treat him as usual..
He ruined the original owner, destroyed his life, and still didn’t have an ounce of remorse..

Not everyone deserves a redemption arc and there’s no need for that.. Wherever original Jingxun is, he deserves peaceful rest.. Leave him alone.. Don’t let him get together with that scum in any other life..
