ARLQLCC chapter 57

Finally got to kiss him, so satisfying

The demon race’s territory was vast, surrounded by the Ten Thousand Mountains, and was the most resource-rich place—easy to defend but hard to attack.

The towns within the mountains were resplendent and luxurious, with carved beams and painted rafters. Everyone wore gold and silver jewelry, practically writing the words “I am very rich” on their faces.

The towns were scattered like stars across the sky, surrounded by vegetation, with small paths connecting one town to another.

The closer one got to the center of the demon race, the larger and more prosperous the towns became, like stars surrounding the moon, supporting a vast and magnificent palace at the very center.

This was the Demon King’s palace. Unlike the common demons’ gaudy golden style, the entire palace was the color of dried blood, filled with a cold and murderous aura. Only the hall at the very top was as red as the first molten lava erupting from a volcano, so bright it hurt the eyes.

Here were the most luxurious treasures, countless spirit stones, and immortal pills capable of bringing the dead back to life. Everything belonged to the one standing at the peak of the continent’s cultivation world—the Demon King—who was currently refusing to let go of a green-robed youth he was holding in his arms.

Chu Zhaoye’s palace was enormous. When they arrived through the teleportation talisman, Su Ji was still worried they might land in the wrong place.

It was also his first time coming to the demon race, and he didn’t know the way. The only person with him was currently not in a clear state of mind. But after arriving, Su Ji realized the teleportation placed them perfectly—they dropped straight onto an absurdly large jade bed and rolled into a tangled heap.

Chu Zhaoye was still tightly holding him. Even though he was not conscious, when they landed, his instinct made him worry Su Ji might get hurt, so he used himself as a cushion and slammed into the bed first, letting out a muffled groan.

Su Ji was scared half to death. While still being held, he reached behind Chu Zhaoye and checked him, then checked the bed. Only after confirming he wasn’t injured did he finally let out a sigh of relief.

The bed was large but soft, and Chu Zhaoye’s Tribulation realm body was extremely tough, so he likely wouldn’t be injured.

Although they had successfully teleported over, and this palace had been sealed by Tu Yan so no one would enter, Su Ji was still facing a big problem.

Even after acting as a cushion during the fall, Chu Zhaoye still held him extremely tightly and refused to let go.

The two of them lay side by side facing each other on the bed. Chu Zhaoye’s face was slightly flushed now, and his hot breath brushed against Su Ji’s face again and again, making him feel hot all over as well.

This couldn’t continue. Su Ji didn’t know how hard demon heat cycles were to endure, but from Tu Yan’s description, the next seven days probably wouldn’t be easy.

For now, Su Ji didn’t want to think about the future. He just wanted to convince Chu Zhaoye to let go and take the medicine. Otherwise this stupid cat was going to overheat his brain and turn into a real idiot cat.

Then he remembered what Tu Yan had said.

“The boss’s current condition is no different from a three-year-old. Just coax him more, he’ll definitely listen to you.”

Coax him more…

He was actually quite good at coaxing Chu Zhaoye, but in this state, would he even listen to him?

Su Ji tentatively raised his hand and touched Chu Zhaoye’s burning cheek, patting it lightly.

“Ma Tuan, can you let go? Take the medicine first, okay? You can hold me again after that.”

The man kept his eyes closed the entire time. After hearing this, he slowly lifted his eyelids a little, giving a reluctant hum, still not letting go at all.

He could still react to him, meaning his mind was still functioning.

Su Ji patiently continued, “You can hear me, right? Take the medicine first. It’ll be quick.”

Chu Zhaoye closed his eyes and mumbled, “No.”

Seeing how uncomfortable he was, Su Ji softened again. “Why not? It’ll make you feel better.”

“It won’t. It tastes bad.” Chu Zhaoye nudged closer, pressing his forehead against Su Ji’s. “I’ve taken it before. It tastes bad. I won’t take it.”

His forehead was also burning hot, like it might catch fire at any moment. Su Ji pulled back his hand and pinched his lips lightly. “If you don’t take the medicine and go dumb from the heat cycle, I’ll go find another cat and won’t want you anymore.”

The air went silent for a moment.

Chu Zhaoye, who had been unwilling to move, suddenly opened his eyes. The words clearly stimulated him. Those black eyes turned blood-red the moment they opened.

He looked at Su Ji with obvious anger and said hoarsely, “No other cats allowed!”

Oh.

Seeing his eyes turn red just from a single sentence, Su Ji was slightly shocked.

He didn’t expect the heat cycle to affect him this much. From what he knew of Chu Zhaoye, if he were fully conscious, he would probably just sulk silently.

Seeing that provoking him worked, Su Ji continued, “Other people’s cats are very obedient. You’re not obedient, so I’ll get an obedient one instead.”

Chu Zhaoye was furious. He loosened the arm around Su Ji’s waist and immediately covered Su Ji’s mouth.

“No talking. I don’t like a single word you say.”

Su Ji’s voice came muffled through his palm. “Then take the medicine, and I won’t talk. I won’t get another cat either.”

Chu Zhaoye was still muddled, but stubborn as ever: “No. And you’re not allowed to get one.”

Such a stubborn cat.

Su Ji leaned his head back, not knowing how to persuade him anymore.

Neither soft coaxing nor threats worked.

Wasn’t he supposed to be like a three-year-old? This was way harder than a real three-year-old.

Ever since the backyard, Su Ji had been held down, and until now he still hadn’t escaped Chu Zhaoye’s grip.

He felt it—this “weapon” pressing against him was extremely sharp and seemed to be burning relentlessly.

If Chu Zhaoye didn’t take the medicine, it couldn’t return to its sheath. And if it didn’t return, Su Ji would keep being pressed.

A loop that only embarrassed Su Ji.

He fell silent, and Chu Zhaoye instead became unhappy. He lowered his hand and leaned forward again like sniffing food, rubbing his nose against Su Ji’s cheek.

“Why aren’t you talking?”

Su Ji lay there like a corpse. “Didn’t you tell me not to?”

Chu Zhaoye: “I want to hear you talk.”

Su Ji: “Then take the medicine first.”

Chu Zhaoye: “No.”

Su Ji: “Then I won’t talk.”

Chu Zhaoye: “Talk. I want to hear it.”

Su Ji: “…………Then take the medicine.”

Chu Zhaoye: “I won’t.”

Su Ji snapped: “What exactly do you want before you’ll take it?!”

Chu Zhaoye paused, then rubbed against his cheek again. The heat cycle was pulling out his most primal instincts, and even his way of speaking had become much more straightforward.

He said, “Let me kiss you once, and I’ll take it.”

Su Ji exploded: “Chu Ma Tuan! You look so normal usually, how are you so shameless now?!”

Chu Zhaoye was burning up and kept rubbing against him. Su Ji’s anger faded again, and he tried reasoning: “You can’t kiss me. Only Dao companions are supposed to do that, understand?”

After a long pause, Chu Zhaoye still didn’t respond. Su Ji quickly reached up to check his face—it was even hotter than before.

Just being this close already made Su Ji feel hot, let alone Chu Zhaoye who was suppressing everything.

When he still didn’t respond, Su Ji grew anxious. “Ma Tuan? Chu Zhaoye?”

Chu Zhaoye had already completely stopped processing his words and kept rubbing into his arms, whining about how uncomfortable he was.

Su Ji quickly pulled out a pill and placed it in front of his lips. “Take the medicine, and I’ll let you kiss me, okay?”

The closed eyes suddenly opened. In that chaotic moment, there was a brief flash of clarity.

Chu Zhaoye swallowed the pill immediately and looked at him intensely. “I ate it.”

Now I can kiss you.

Su Ji stared blankly.

This stupid cat had just been unable to hear anything, but the moment he agreed, his mind came back instantly. So everything just now was acting?

Su Ji got angry: “You… mmph!”

Before he could finish, his lips were bitten by the big cat. His words were cut off, and in the next second, strong arms lifted him up.

Whether it was the pill or not, the person kissing him even had the presence of mind to take off his shoes for him.

Their positions changed. Chu Zhaoye sat on the bed, Su Ji sitting on his thighs. A hand pressed the back of Su Ji’s neck down without hesitation.

Their lips pressed together. Chu Zhaoye clearly had no experience, relying entirely on instinct to nibble and kiss. Su Ji squirmed from the ticklish sensation but couldn’t escape, vaguely telling him to be gentler.

Chu Zhaoye didn’t listen—whether he couldn’t or wouldn’t. His canine teeth brushed over the now red and soft lips, and Su Ji gasped softly as his mouth opened slightly, letting the eager tongue slip in.

It pushed past his teeth with overwhelming force, sliding across the sensitive palate, each movement sending shivers through his body.

Hot breath filled his face. His lips were nibbled and licked without mercy. Su Ji went limp in his arms, only supported by the hand at his waist.

His breathing became chaotic, a thin line of moisture slipping from the corner of his lips and immediately being licked away.

The man advanced step by step. Even the panicked little tongue trying to escape was caught and tangled playfully.

Su Ji whimpered softly, gripping the man’s chest clothes tightly before slowly letting go.

The overwhelming kiss ended only after an indulgent sigh from the aggressor. When their lips finally parted, Su Ji collapsed against his shoulder, gasping for air.

His originally pale pink lips were now a deep, swollen red—like overripe fruit, one light press away from bursting juice.

Dazed and dizzy, Su Ji barely had time to recover before Chu Zhaoye, now slightly more rational, lifted his face again and licked his swollen lips like a satisfied puppy.

After kissing, he looked happy and said, “Five kisses a day from now on.”

Su Ji couldn’t even roll his eyes. “No.”

One kiss already lasted so long—five times a day would kill him.

Chu Zhaoye ignored the rejection completely: “We already did one. Four left.”

Su Ji opened his mouth to argue—but was immediately kissed again by the shameless big cat.

Author’s note:

Boss Chu is terrible at chasing people. Su Ji only gets caught because he’s used to coaxing cats with no bottom line.
