Liang Jiashu’s breathing stopped for an instant because Lu Chi’s voice and tone were so certain. So certain that Liang Jiashu’s pupils constricted, his body tensed, and in the blink of an eye, his mind was swallowed by a twisted, coldly rational madness.
Kill him.
Strangle Lu Chi.
Turn him into a specimen.
Then he would never be able to leave his side.
The two of them were still connected in that position. Lu Chi let out a muffled groan; without even looking, he knew exactly what Liang Jiashu was thinking.
Before Liang Jiashu could completely lose his mind, Lu Chi pressed a hand against the back of the young man’s head and, without allowing refusal, lowered his head and kissed him, using lips and tongue to forcibly soothe the madman.
The man’s kiss was cold, unhurried, and calm.
As if a powerful, unwavering soul were holding down Liang Jiashu on the brink of collapse, holding down his furious, screaming rationality, holding down his spasming, violent arms… leaving his mind blank, instinctively chasing after that person’s breath, endlessly licking and kissing Lu Chi’s damp, crimson lips.
Sticky, wet sounds filled the air as Lu Chi and Liang Jiashu kissed for a full half hour. By the time they reached the end, the indecently short school uniform on Lu Chi’s body had been torn open and tossed messily onto the carpet.
Their bodies pressed together, temperatures melding. In a brief gap between heavy breaths, the man tilted his head back and gasped twice, only to be pulled down again by Liang Jiashu’s hand for another fierce kiss.
Lu Chi laughed softly, leaned down, and kissed him back deeply. Sweat dripped from his lashes in the backlight, rolling into the carpet.
“Jiashu, I actually prefer real people… mm…”
The silicone doll was kicked aside at will.
This time, it was a face-to-face position. The man licked his lips and sank down. At the instant he entered, a deeply obscene moan spilled from his breath.
From the upward angle, one could see Lu Chi’s relaxed chest muscles, the reddened, swollen tips, his sharp jawline, and his tongue poised high above.
Indecent to the extreme.
The familiar, vivid, and beautiful Lu Chi had returned.
He wasn’t looking at Liang Jiashu with disgust.
He wasn’t stabbing him with cold words.
Even after being imprisoned for three days, he still showed mercy and entangled himself with him.
As they moved, sweat dripped down. The upturned corners of his eyes shimmered with moist, gorgeous light, beautiful and sharp. Yet Liang Jiashu’s heart felt as though it were soaking in the cold rain outside the window, damp and freezing.
Lu Chi raised a hand to brush back his bangs. After a moment, he heard Liang Jiashu suddenly speak hoarsely: “What does this count as?”
“Hm?”
Liang Jiashu stared into Lu Chi’s light-brown eyes. His body was clearly aroused, yet his expression was like that of a corpse dead for hundreds of years, utterly devoid of emotion.
“A breakup fuck?” He asked flatly.
Give him a little sweetness, so the mad dog would let him go.
Lu Chi paused. Then, after a moment, he laughed very softly.
The man didn’t answer. He lowered his gaze and pressed one hand over Liang Jiashu’s noisy mouth, continuing unhurriedly. Because he had been forcibly wrung out so many times by the dolls over the past three days, his eyes quickly burned red, his beautiful Adam’s apple beginning to roll.
It was the sign that he was close.
Liang Jiashu had slept with him too many times. Instinctively, he tightened his hold, wrapping around the man’s body, breathing faster when Lu Chi breathed faster, tensing when Lu Chi tensed.
At times like this, Lu Chi usually wouldn’t be silent. He would press close to Liang Jiashu’s ear and call out, mm, ah, moaning his name. His voice could be husky, high, soft, short, or low…
Naturally lewd.
Liang Jiashu could never resist.
Every time they did it, Liang Jiashu’s body would follow Lu Chi’s rhythm.
If Lu Chi was fast, he was fast.
If Lu Chi was slow, he slowed.
If Lu Chi deliberately teased, he could only become a man with no dignity, finishing in seconds.
In bed or out of bed, Liang Jiashu had no dignity in front of Lu Chi. So he forcibly grabbed Lu Chi’s hand, interlaced their fingers, and leaned in to kiss him, wanting only to please him.
Lu Chi laughed softly. His voice was hoarse from having just climaxed, and as he kissed back, he soothed him:
“Jiashu, we’re not breaking up.”
Not a breakup fuck.
Liang Jiashu froze. “…What?”
Lu Chi blinked, pulling back his tongue that had been bitten. “Mm… maybe you could call it a reunion fuck?” Lu Chi had never really planned on breaking up in the first place. And it couldn’t be broken off anyway.
Liang Jiashu stared at him with a slightly blank expression, like an evil ghost dragged up from hell by an angel. After a moment, he said hoarsely, “But you said I couldn’t keep you locked up.”
Lu Chi raised a brow. “Do you really think you could lock me up forever?”
He wasn’t someone who could be toyed with at will. Giving Liang Jiashu three days to buffer was already extreme indulgence. Only when Lu Chi was willing could a cage be a cage. If he wasn’t willing, nothing could trap him.
Liang Jiashu fell silent.
Lu Chi lowered his head to glance at their mutually disheveled bodies and lightly pinched the back of Liang Jiashu’s neck.
“Take a shower. Then we eat.”
“How about we talk while we eat?”
“……”
Liang Jiashu had never truly been able to refuse Lu Chi.
So the two of them quickly moved to the bathroom. Liang Jiashu once again skillfully adjusted the water temperature for him as the bathtub filled with hot water. But just as Liang Jiashu wanted to do something else, Lu Chi laughed and forcefully pressed his head down into the water, looking down at him with arrogance.
“Liang Jiashu,” Lu Chi chuckled in warning. “If you go crazy again, I really will slap you.”
They’d only been apart for a few minutes, yet Liang Jiashu felt like he’d forgotten how to breathe. So much so that his body tensed instantly, and at the edge of suffocation, he suddenly climaxed.
Lu Chi calmly withdrew his hand, wiped Liang Jiashu’s face once, and said concisely:
“I’m hungry.”
………….
By the time they left the bathroom, it was already deep into the night.
Outside, the rain poured down, the steady patter mixing with the sound of the heater fogging the glass windows from inside.
Lu Chi changed into loose pajamas and sat at the island counter, propping his head up as he drank hot water. His freshly dried bangs were soft, falling against his pale neck, fluffy with a slight curl at the ends.
Liang Jiashu stood in the kitchen when the memory of the night they broke up suddenly flashed through his mind.
Also, a stormy night.
Also, just after he had finished blow-drying Lu Chi’s hair, as he was about to cook.
Liang Jiashu’s pupils shrank. Reacting instinctively, he turned around and stepped forward, grabbing Lu Chi and kissing him.
The kiss came out of nowhere, crashing in without warning. Lu Chi instantly understood what he was thinking, so he indulgently extended his tongue for the other to suck and lick, wrapping his strong arms around the young man’s neck, laughing softly amid the hot, sticky sounds of breathing.
He raised a brow, asking, “Want me to hang off you?”
Liang Jiashu looked up, breathing scalding hot. “Can I?”
…It wasn’t impossible.
Lu Chi inexplicably dug a pit for himself. In the end, he could only lift his arms and hung onto Liang Jiashu’s broad, straight shoulders, getting carried into the kitchen. Liang Jiashu was large-framed, but Lu Chi was just as big, and the position made cooking inconvenient.
So Lu Chi experimented for a bit like a long-legged cat before finally deciding to cling to Liang Jiashu’s back.
His long, straight legs curled up, clamping around Liang Jiashu’s waist from behind. Tilting his head, Lu Chi nuzzled close and whispered into his ear like he was acting spoiled: “Liang Jiashu, don’t let me fall.”
The man’s body heat seeped through their clothes.
Warm.
Soft.
Liang Jiashu lowered his gaze. The pitch-black in his eyes unconsciously softened.
“I’ll catch you.”
Lu Chi smiled. “Mm. You will.”
He always had.
Because Lu Chi, the pretty human accessory, was hanging on him, the meal went unusually smoothly. Liang Jiashu cooked the seafood soup he hadn’t had time to make for Lu Chi that night. The two of them sat at the island counter to eat. Liang Jiashu peeled shrimp for him, his movements practiced, quick, and neat.
Shrimp meat piled up steadily. Lu Chi watched him for a moment, then suddenly nudged his calf with his foot.
“Let’s talk?”
Liang Jiashu paused. After a long while, he finally placed the peeled shrimp into Lu Chi’s bowl without expression and lifted his eyes calmly.
“Mm. Let’s talk.”
He looked fairly composed.
But Lu Chi smiled, leaned in intimately, and kissed him. After kissing for a bit, he kept that position, lifted his head, and poked Liang Jiashu’s dark eyes with the tip of his nose.
“Why are you so tense?”
Liang Jiashu wasn’t someone who easily developed so-called psychological shadows. After all, he really wasn’t that weak or fragile. But the words “breaking up” were enough to make his head go blank, triggering a cold stress response.
His brain could remember a week’s worth of experimental data down to the third decimal place. Yet he had deliberately erased that night’s conversation, forgotten the tone Lu Chi used, the posture he held, the way he casually suggested separating.
Words really did carry weight, and only now did the always-aloof Liang Jiashu realize it.
Lu Chi met his eyes. After a moment, he sighed lightly, smiling as he was about to speak…
Ding dong!
The doorbell rang abruptly through the quiet, rainy night.
Both of them froze. Liang Jiashu frowned and turned his head. When he got up to open the door, his expression was cold and dark, but the very next second, his face stiffened in rare surprise.
Outside the villa, Liang Mingzhu stood in the rain. Her tall, cool figure was clad in a high-end suit, sharpened by the glow of car headlights. An assistant silently held a black umbrella over her, and behind her stood several expressionless men in black.
Liang Jiashu met her gaze.
Liang Mingzhu spoke flatly, getting straight to the point.
“Release him, or I’ll tear the place down. Pick one.”
…Looks like Liang Zhiyu really did take it to her.
If she weren’t worried that Liang Jiashu’s crimes would affect the Liang Group’s stock price, she wouldn’t have come this quickly.
Lu Chi appeared from behind Liang Jiashu, holding a bowl, locking eyes with that orthodox, domineering CEO for two seconds. His beautiful brows and eyes looked remarkably relaxed.
Liang Mingzhu paused, then raised a brow at her son. Liang Jiashu looked back at her, equally cool and concise.
“We argued. We’re reconciled.”
Fine.
Liang Mingzhu nodded, clearly uninterested in his love life. She turned and handed over a bill and a pen, saying, “You wasted two hours of my time and delayed three meetings. Sign.”
Liang Jiashu didn’t sign, but transferred three million directly.
Liang Mingzhu immediately left with her people, efficient as ever. The wheels splashed up water as the cars vanished swiftly and cleanly at the street corner.
Liang Jiashu closed the door, but his expression was even colder and darker than the weather outside.
“…Liang Zhiyu!”
Lu Chi couldn’t help wanting to laugh. He returned to the island counter and sat down. After thinking for a moment, he still chuckled, praising, “President Liang really is worthy of being the Protagonist’s mom.”
Liang Jiashu sat down too, frowning slightly at that.
“The Protagonist’s mom?”
Lu Chi hummed, tapping Liang Jiashu’s shoulder with his finger.
“That’s you, Liang Jiashu.”
“You’re the Protagonist of this world.”
His expression was serious, completely unlike a joke. Liang Jiashu met his gaze, and after a long moment, something sparked in his mind, recalling words Lu Chi had once said with a smile.
He had said he was the righteous and charming savior.
He had also said that this world was a novel, and Liang Jiashu was its Protagonist. But the unfortunate part was that the other Protagonist was named Gu Yanyan.
“……”
The living room fell silent, save for the steady sound of rain.
After an unknown amount of time, Lu Chi finished his bowl of soup without changing expression, then ate another half bowl of rice. Only then did Liang Jiashu speak.
“Materialism or idealism.”
It was a question Lu Chi had once asked him late one night.
The Protagonist really was smart. Lu Chi smiled, raised a brow, and looked at him.
“So, what do you believe in now?”
“I believe in you.” Liang Jiashu answered without hesitation.
Lu Chi paused, looking into his dark eyes. After a moment, he smiled, propped his head up, and said, Then what do you want to ask?”
Liang Jiashu said, “Will you break up with me?”
“……”
Lu Chi was genuinely stuck for once. He had thought a science-obsessed prodigy like him would agonize over the laws of the world, the mechanics of the universe.
Instead, after all that silence, the only thing he cared about was whether they’d break up?!
How was this any different from Tang Sanzang only caring whether Sun Wukong’s eyes got sore after killing his way from the South Heavenly Gate to Penglai East Road armed with only two watermelon knives?!
“What’s wrong with you…” Lu Chi laughed again. “Relax. We’re not breaking up.”
But Lu Chi did need to leave this world, whether to uncover the truth behind his so-called resurrection, or the cause behind it. After a dinner with no arguments, Liang Jiashu stood up and loaded the dishes into the dishwasher. Lu Chi helped clean up, then, after washing up, climbed into bed with him and lazily continued talking.
“I was originally a film emperor. You know what that is? A grand slam of domestic and international awards. Tons of people liked me, sigh… too charming, nothing I can do.”
Liang Jiashu hummed. “You’ve always been very charming.”
“Gu Yanyan was your official pairing. Your original plot was meeting, understanding, loving, and killing each other…”
“Impossible.” Liang Jiashu cut in expressionlessly.
Lu Chi laughed softly, holding him tightly in his arms. His nose caught the mixed scent of chemical reagents and body wash. Outside, rain poured down. The two of them lay close together on the same bed, wrapped in a single quilt like two small animals sharing warmth, quiet, and still.
After a moment of silence, Lu Chi spoke of the system’s plan.
“Originally, after breaking you two apart, I’d leave after four years and never come back.”
Liang Jiashu listened quietly, his dark eyes fixed on Lu Chi in his arms. He didn’t interrupt, only tightening his hold little by little. The system in Lu Chi’s mind was still forcibly shut down in a state of dumb silence.
Lu Chi watched Liang Jiashu with a half-smile. He knew his emotions were still off, his guard high, his subconscious unwilling to let anything approach Lu Chi.
Lu Chi didn’t mind. He didn’t mention the Lin family or whatever the hell was wrong with them. He simply recited the new plan that had been loaded a few hours ago.
[With the Protagonist’s energy as an anchor, once the host leaves the world, the entire world will enter absolute temporal stasis. Only after the host completes the mission and agrees to return will the world resume operation.]
Two choices.
Lu Chi leaves completely. Or, with Liang Jiashu’s consent, the world freezes, every life suspended in stillness, waiting for his return.
And if Lu Chi never comes back, the world will remain frozen until extinction.
In the night, Lu Chi’s brows curved with a smile as he raised a brow lightly.
“Think it over carefully. If you don’t want to take the risk, we can treat this decision as a real breakup.”
He sounded relaxed, without emotion. But Liang Jiashu instantly wrapped his arms tightly around him, clutching his butterfly in overwhelming relief that bordered on ecstasy. His voice was hoarse and stubborn.
“I’ll wait for you.”
“Lu Chi. Let me wait for you.”
What is love? And what does it mean to love someone?
Love songs said that loving someone meant being generous. TV dramas said that loving someone meant letting them go.
But Liang Jiashu was jealous, greedy, and selfish.
When he held someone tightly, his entire mind filled with twisted, crazed thoughts. They had already broken up, yet his nature never changed, as he still wanted to possess Lu Chi completely.
So Liang Jiashu understood: love meant they must be together.
Unless one of them died, nothing was allowed to separate them.
Therefore, he lowered his eyes and said calmly, “Lu Chi, I love you.”
If you can’t have love, then die for it.
There’s nothing to regret.
Lu Chi looked at him and, for some reason, smiled. After smiling, he sighed and hugged Liang Jiashu back, his voice very soft.
“Mm. I know.”
In the sound of drizzling rain, they held each other tightly. After a long while, Lu Chi closed his eyes and spoke: “Is there anything you want to ask?”
About the plot. About the characters. About the world.
But Liang Jiashu said, “Tell me about your past.”
“Lu Chi, what were you like as a child?”
Lu Chi kept his eyes closed. After a long pause, he suddenly laughed again.
The bedroom gradually filled with the pleasant sound of a man’s voice.
Outside the window, the rain grew heavier and lighter by turns, tapping softly against the glass, slowly gathering and streaming downward.
It rained all night.
…………….
When morning came, the light was bright and clear. The weather forecast was explaining the temperatures for the coming month, and the female anchor’s pleasant voice echoed through the living room. Lu Chi listened for a bit, his brows and eyes bathed in long-missed warm sunlight.
A City’s damp rainy season was finally over.
In his mind, the system’s excited voice rang out again after a long absence: [Baby! We’ve refreshed a new plan! If Gong No.1 agrees, we can leave this world directly in three months!]
[We can finally get out of this crazy place!!]
Lu Chi responded with a quiet “Mm,” got up to wash, and let the system celebrate so hard it nearly lost control. Suddenly, a pair of arms wrapped around him from behind, hands landing on his belt. Lu Chi raised an eyebrow and pressed them down. Water droplets slid from his half-dried face, soaking the light-colored collar.
“Liang Jiashu.”
Liang Jiashu hummed in response. His hot breath rolled across the back of Lu Chi’s neck, flushing his skin red.
“Xiao Chi… I want to lick you.”
Lu Chi pressed onto the sink, knees clamping around Liang Jiashu’s head. He tilted his head back, adjusting his breathing, thinking for the nth time that maybe the system had made a mistake.
Liang Jiashu wasn’t the Protagonist of a melodramatic romance.
He was clearly the Protagonist of an R-18 porn novel!
…………………….
After going out to eat breakfast, Lu Chi’s phone kept vibrating with messages from Gu Yanyan and Liang Zhiyu. During the three days he’d been locked up, his phone had stayed with Liang Jiashu.
However, after a moment’s thought, he didn’t reply. Instead, he casually took a photo of breakfast, and just like that, Lu Chi posted his first Moments update since coming to this world.
[Liang Jiashu’s cooking.]

Less than three minutes later, Gu Yanyan called. Lu Chi answered and heard an urgent, furious voice, screaming, “Liang Jiashu, how can you be so shameless! Just wait, I will definitely…!”
“Definitely what?” Lu Chi cut in with a smile.
The other end froze.
“…Brother Chi?”
Lu Chi hummed in response. After a long silence, realization dawned, and the call ended abruptly. Then came Liang Zhiyu, but everything ended in the same process.
Liang Jiashu watched coldly. After Lu Chi hung up, he calmly handed over a glass of freshly squeezed juice, askingsweetly, “Drink some?”
Quite the actor.
Lu Chi smiled, secretly amused. Not long after, Gu Yanyan and Liang Zhiyu, almost as if they’d planned it, sent messages at the same time.
Liang Zhiyu: Teacher Lu, I really like you! If you ever have difficulties, please come to me immediately!
Gu Yanyan: Waiting for someone is a very fulfilling thing! Brother Chi, I’ll always be a road behind you!
Lu Chi put down his phone and didn’t reply.
His arrival in this world had been like a storm, one flap of his wings, and countless fates were altered.
So what was love? What did it mean to love someone?
Gu Yanyan and Liang Zhiyu might never fully understand. But they knew that whenever they were trapped in mire, surrounded by black fog, a figure would appear in their dreams, always calm, always powerful, always unhurried.
They followed him. Looked up to him. Admired him.
Crossing old times, stepping into a bright new chapter. The name “Lu Chi” became like a tattoo, appearing in every moment of their lives.
Love is waiting in silence and finding sweetness in it.
……………..
Three months passed in the blink of an eye. The system beat gongs and drums in joy, cackling as it prepared to leave the world.
[Baby, we’re leaving! The next world’s main cast definitely won’t be crazy, don’t worry!]
Lu Chi smiled but said nothing. That ordinary afternoon, Liang Jiashu didn’t drag him into bed. Instead, he took him back to the island to chase the sunset again.
Brilliant, shifting clouds of light enveloped them.
Liang Jiashu knelt on one knee on the beach and placed a massive diamond ring on Lu Chi’s finger. Lu Chi smiled and accepted it, praising softly, “Nice design.”
“Don’t forget me,” Liang Jiashu said.
No matter what, please, don’t forget me.
Lu Chi met his dark, obsessive gaze. After a pause, he suddenly said, “Actually, I really like intense, one-of-a-kind love.”
The damp, warm sea breeze brushed across their foreheads, and Liang Jiashu grabbed the hand wearing the ring. After a moment of stunned silence, he abruptly looked up, voice hoarse and urgent, asking, “Lu Chi, do you maybe like me too?”
From the moment they met until now, Lu Chi had never said he loved him. And even now, Lu Chi only smiled, his light brown eyes meeting Liang Jiashu’s. The next second, it was as if a movie screen had been paused.
The sea breeze stopped. Breathing froze.
Liang Jiashu’s expression stiffened, his body instantly losing all vitality.
In the frozen world, the unmoving young man held his lover’s hand, eyes sinking into stillness. Lu Chi lowered his head, expression unchanged, and placed a very light kiss on the young man’s face.
“Yes,” he said.
But the next second, the smiling man vanished.
The world stood still, and the sound of butterflies flying away could be heard.
…Story Ending · End …
………………..
After who knows how long of passing through the dimness of inter-world travel, noise finally exploded beside his ears. Lu Chi frowned and raised his eyes, discovering he was standing outside a massive simulated combat training island.Countless virtual spectators screamed wildly from the stands, shouting the name at the top of the leaderboard:
“Lin Jingsi! Lin Jingsi! Lin Jingsi!”
“LIN JINGSI!!”
“…”
The system had disappeared again.
Lu Chi turned his head and saw his reflection in the screen’s glow.
Young. So much younger. Maybe nineteen years old.
Medium-length hair, not black, or pink, or whatever…
But silver.
Still wearing a diamond ring.
But most importantly, at his feet, kneeling before him, was an Alpha in uncontrollable heat.
……………………….
T.N: And with that, the first arc is over. I don’t know about you, but I’m left with more questions than answers. What’s the deal with Liang Jiashu? Is he responsible for Lu Chi’s resurrection? What’s up with the Lin family? Is that Lin Jingsi also Liang Jiashu? And it looks like this new dude’s name is also Lin Jingsi… if I remember correctly, that piece of information Lu Chi was able to read about the Lin family (back in chapter 42) stated that the heir, Lin Jingsi, was some sort of mecha military prodigi, and this second world starts in a high tech combat arena, so it’s this Lin Jingsi’s world? Are the worlds connected? Are they all Liang Jiashu? Probably :)) Stay tuned to find out more.
