“When did those two start dating?”
Jiang Yuxin tilted her head as she watched Liu Bingwei and Shi Zheyu feeding each other bites of food, then turned to the pair standing beside her.
Zhou Shuyi only shrugged, showing he was just as clueless.
“Well, I guess it makes sense why Bingwei hasn’t been hanging around our department lately.”
Even though he was a senior in the law department, he often slipped into the finance classrooms — so much that freshmen often mistook him for one of their seniors.
Fang Zhengwen quickly chimed in.
“That’s because his goal was you, obviously.”
“Me?”
“You really haven’t noticed? He’s totally—”
Before he could finish, Gao Shide, standing just behind Zhou Shuyi, pressed a finger to his lips and shook his head. Noticing that, Fang Zhengwen changed the subject at once.
“You’re the captain of the swim team, right? He probably comes around because of club business. Anyway… I’m starving. Yuxin, let’s go grab something to eat.”
He slung an arm over her shoulders and led her into the cafeteria.
“What the hell was that about? Do you have any idea what he meant?”
Confused, Zhou Shuyi turned to Gao Shide, who only shook his head and smiled innocently.

“Gao Shide, aren’t you spoiling him a little too much?”
Jiang Yuxin leaned on one hand, watching Gao Shide fuss busily over Zhou Shuyi since they sat down, and couldn’t help speaking up.
“Am I?”
“You peel his shrimp, pick out his vegetables, order his drink… You might as well feed him too!”
She widened her eyes, pointing accusingly at his nose, then turned to glare at her own boyfriend beside her.
“So where’s my special treatment, huh?”
“Alright, alright. Here you go.”
Fang Zhengwen obediently peeled a shrimp and held it up toward her mouth — but right before reaching her, he popped it into his own instead.
“Fang Zhengwen!”
She hit his arm in mock anger, but the mix of irritation and affection in her face made him laugh out loud.
After their little scene, Jiang Yuxin set down her chopsticks, took Gao Shide’s hand, and spoke seriously.
“Take good care of Shuyi for us, okay?”
Fang Zhengwen, dropping his joking tone, added on sincerely.
“Shuyi’s got a short temper. If you ever argue or he gets moody, just let him cool off — don’t take it too hard. He’s sharp-tongued, but he really treasures the people he cares about.”
“Don’t worry,” Gao Shide smiled. “I’ve waited eleven years for him. I’ll take good care of him.”
Zhou Shuyi, hearing that, scowled and glared at the two childhood friends in front of him.
“Hold on a sec — what is this, some intervention? You’re all acting like I’m some difficult person or something!”
Jiang Yuxin pointed dramatically across the table.
“Oh, come on, Young Master Zhou — you seriously didn’t know? It’s thanks to you that we even started dating.”
“What? How?”
“Because you’re so difficult and always getting angry! We were constantly cleaning up your messes and trying to figure out how to cheer you up. While talking about you all the time…”
Fang Zhengwen looked at Jiang Yuxin, who was too embarrassed to continue, and finished the sentence for her.
“…Then, our love bloomed.”
Zhou Shuyi spread his hands, sighing dramatically.
“Then I expect a matchmaking fee. If it weren’t for me, you two would never have gotten together.”
“Oh, please. You should be thanking us instead!”
Jiang Yuxin smacked his outstretched palms with her chopsticks.
“Do you even realize how many times we’ve had to clean up after you?”
“Alright, alright, I get it. When you two have a kid, I’ll be the honorary godfather — and I’ll make sure to give the biggest red envelope every New Year.”
As he spoke, Zhou Shuyi quietly scooted his chair back. The moment he finished his sentence, he stood up and bolted.
“Zhou. Shu. Yi!”
It took Jiang Yuxin a few seconds to realize he’d been teasing her. She slammed her hands on the table, then ran after him as he turned back, stuck out his tongue, and fled down the hallway.

~Zhou Shuyi’s House
“—How about we study for the graduation exam at the library tomorrow, since it’s Saturday?”
Zhou Shuyi sat by the window, video chatting with Fang Zhengwen.
“I’m planning to study at Shide’s place tomorrow.”
Outside the window stretched a breathtaking night view. The soundproof glass blocked out the noise from the city, leaving only calm and silence inside.
Before Fang Zhengwen could say anything, a beautiful face suddenly leaned into the camera and asked suspiciously: “—Are you really going there to study?”
As Jiang Yuxin’s teasing laughter came through the speaker, Zhou Shuyi glared at the screen, clearly annoyed.
“Jiang Yuxin, that’s so mean! What’s with that creepy laugh of yours!?”
“Just in case, don’t forget to wear your ‘special underwear’ for the occasion, okay?”
“Don’t mind her, Shuyi,” Fang Zhengwen added as he angled the phone back toward himself. “Study properly and make sure you don’t lose to Gao Shide.”
“Of course! Even if we’re… close, a challenge is still a challenge. This time, I’m going to beat him. Anyway, I’m hanging up now. See you.”
He smiled as he tapped the button to end the call. The screen went dark, reflecting his own faint grin.
“‘Special underwear’… what does she even mean by that?”
He set his phone down, sat in front of his computer, and typed ‘special underwear’ into the search bar. In an instant, tens of thousands of results appeared—every imaginable design and color of underwear, including some shockingly tiny bikini styles.
And along with them came thousands of images of male models, all showcasing their ‘most private’ parts—leaving Zhou Shuyi staring, utterly dumbfounded.
