TSBSPAAM Chapter 73

Lost First Prison

Chapter 73: Lost First Prison

For a moment, no one spoke. Qin Luzhi looked at Shen Bumian’s reddened ears, realizing the situation, and his face also grew a bit warm.

He lowered his head to pack up the food container, then put the lid on. Once the moment had passed, he didn’t feel it was anything special.

Shen Bumian felt like he had forgotten something. It wasn’t until he saw Qin Luzhi’s belt that he suddenly remembered.

“Oh, right. That Su Qingyu, we haven’t interrogated him yet.”

Qin Luzhi watched the omega awkwardly change the subject to break the silence and gave an “mm.”

“Mianmian, do you want to interrogate him yourself?”

Shen Bumian looked at Qin Luzhi and thought it was inconvenient for him to handle this matter in his current state. Besides, he was the one who had ordered Su Qingyu detained, so he should be the one to do it.

“Yes, I’ll go myself.”

“Okay, I’ll grant you access.”

Only then did Shen Bumian learn that the prison had an independent floor exclusively for the Gray Heron Legion’s use. Only Qin Luzhi had the authority to open it. When they detained Su Qingyu, they had used Qin Luzhi’s pre-authorized access.

Qin Luzhi signaled for Shen Bumian to give him his terminal. Shen Bumian handed it over without suspicion, and it was returned to him a moment later.

Shen Bumian looked at his terminal in confusion. There was an extra account on the homepage, not the private account Qin Luzhi usually used. He looked at Qin Luzhi with his beautiful peach blossom eyes.

Qin Luzhi turned his head away. “That’s my official military account. All access permissions are opened through it.”

Shen Bumian suddenly understood. “I see. I’m leaving then.”

With that, he picked up the food container and left the floor. It was getting late, so he didn’t go directly to the prison to interrogate Su Qingyu. Sleep was more important.

The next morning was filled with classes. After lunch, Shen Bumian went straight to the prison, having agreed with Qin Luzhi beforehand not to bring him food.

Only after arriving did Shen Bumian realize it had a name: Lost First Prison. The six large characters hung high above the main gate, inexplicably eerie and chilling.

“Lost” meant those who had lost their way.

There was a distance between the main gate and the first prison block in sight. The arched stone gate, several people high, had chains wrapped around both sides, with roses unexpectedly climbing up them, adding a touch of different color to the place.

The prison was huge, stretching as far as the eye could see. The sky here was always gloomy, looking very oppressive. Occasionally, a clap of thunder would sound in mid-air, accompanied by a flash or two of lightning.

The outermost perimeter was surrounded by an electric fence, and Shen Bumian could see fine sparks sputtering. Two guards stood at each entrance, holding the empire’s most advanced firearms.

No one stopped Shen Bumian when he entered. It seemed Qin Luzhi had already informed them.

Soon, a tall Alpha dressed differently from the guards walked up to him. His posture was somewhat lazy, clearly distinct from the people here. Shen Bumian remembered him; he was Lin An, the one by Qin Luzhi’s side.

At this moment, a strand of his black hair stuck up. Shen Bumian saw the nearby guards nodding to him. Lin An walked straight to Shen Bumian.

“Sister-in-law, you’re here? The boss already told us. I’ll take you up now.”

“Okay, thank you for your trouble.”

In the spacious open ground, there was a stone pillar every few steps, also surrounded by an electric fence. Lin An led Shen Bumian through them, keeping himself closer to the pillars.

“Sister-in-law, be careful. It’s a bit dangerous here.”

The interior of the prison was circular, with a large elevator in the very center. Shen Bumian glanced around roughly. Each floor had a few different rooms with lights on, and occasional laughter could be heard. He guessed those were the prison guards’ quarters.

The elevator could hold a dozen people, but right now it was just the two of them, so it wasn’t crowded at all. Moreover, the elevator was made of glass, allowing a view of the solitary confinement cells surrounding it.

Within minutes, they reached the top floor. The top floor wasn’t much different from the ones below, except for a security door with no guards outside.

Shen Bumian held up his terminal to the scanner. With a beep, the door automatically slid open.

Two guards on duty inside stood at attention upon hearing the successful verification and saluted. “Hello, Boss!”

The loud and forceful voices startled Shen Bumian, causing him to take a step back instinctively. Only then did the two guards realize that the person entering wasn’t the boss, but a beautiful omega.

They froze momentarily, unsure whether to raise or lower their guns.

Lin An stepped forward and glanced at them. “New here? Good timing, remember this face. This is our sister-in-law.”

The two snapped out of it. “Hello, Sister-in-law!”

Shen Bumian nodded and walked past them. The guards behind him were still a bit dazed.

“Doesn’t only the boss have access to the top floor? He actually gave his access account directly to sister-in-law!”

“Say no more. The boss loves sister-in-law too much.”

Lin An led Shen Bumian directly to the innermost cell. Every cell on the top floor was slightly better than those below. Even though he was detained, Su Qingyu hadn’t been mistreated.

“Let me out! I want to go home! You’ve offended the Su family; my father won’t let you get away with this!”

“I’m going to sue you! You’re abusing and imprisoning an omega; this is illegal!”

“Tsk, are you done being annoying? So noisy, all day long.” A vicious prisoner in the next cell punched the wall, and Su Qingyu instantly quieted down.

He had been locked up for a long time and was already irritable. A while ago, they had inexplicably locked an omega in here, making him even more annoyed.

Shen Bumian walked past without looking sideways, ignoring the wall that didn’t even have an extra mark on it. The man clearly saw Shen Bumian.

“Yo, what did a little beauty like you do to get caught by them? Want me to help you?”

“There’s actually such a top-quality omega on this floor?”

Lin An kicked the cell door. “Shut your filthy mouth! That’s our sister-in-law!”

The man resentfully lay back on his bed, turning his back to the door. His earlier arrogance was completely gone. He probably knew Qin Luzhi and seemed quite afraid of him.

Shen Bumian disdained people who bullied the weak and feared the strong. He went straight to Su Qingyu’s room.

“Open the door.”

A nearby guard immediately ran over to open the door for Shen Bumian, only to watch helplessly as their Brother Lin lunged forward to unlock it, opening the door for Shen Bumian with a smile.

Sister-in-law is awesome!

Su Qingyu noticed the door opening, but the first thing he saw was Shen Bumian’s hateful face. He subconsciously schooled his expression.

What are you doing here?

Wait, doesn’t only Qin Luzhi have access here?

“Senior Qin actually granted you access?”

Shen Bumian glanced at him indifferently and sat down on the only chair.

Hmm? Grant access? No.

I knew it. How could he just grant access to something so important when there are so many other prisoners here? Before Su Qingyu could catch his breath, he heard Shen Bumian add slowly:

“He just gave me the authority itself.”

Su Qingyu glared at Shen Bumian, not quite believing his words. There was a difference between granting access and giving authority. This meant that Shen Bumian could enter and leave this place freely without Qin Luzhi’s permission in the future.
