Song Xinglan pulled him closer, pressing him against the door as he fiercely licked and nibbled his lips and tongue. He felt Song Jin’s body heat and how it softened in his hands. He lifted Song Jin around the waist, kissing him passionately as he carried him to the bedroom. He kicked the door shut behind them. They fell onto the bed together.

The sound of their heavy breathing filled the room. Their heartbeats trembled together. Goosebumps crawled on Song Jin’s neck. He ran his fingers through Song Xinglan’s hair, which had grown quite long. It was cool and soft, with a wildness in its uneven length that fit perfectly between his fingers. Song Jin closed his eyes, experiencing everything his other senses could perceive.

The wet kisses descended, and Song Xinglan’s hair brushed against Song Jin’s chin. Song Jin tilted his head back, gripping Song Xinglan’s shoulders, wrinkling his pyjamas. As Song Xinglan kissed and nibbled at Song Jin’s collarbone, he reached to take off his own shirt.

The young man’s body was broad and firm. Song Jin held onto his naked back, their heartbeats syncing up. Song Jin’s eyes felt a bit sour.

He seemed to have confirmed something.

Those wrongs, that hatred, the past losses, the dark pain, the torment, the insults—they should have died with that fateful car accident. Even if forgiveness was still out of reach, they weren’t worth imprisoning oneself over.
