Lu Zhao picked up a towel beside the hospital bed, wiped his hands, and said, “If you don’t know, then forget it. Go back and stop messing with me.”

Lu Zhao felt like he had practically become the reincarnation of Liu Xiaohui, capable of ruthlessly rejecting meat even when it was delivered right to his mouth. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to take a bite, and he wouldn’t have minded putting him through another round of hands-free control; after all, plenty of people ended up getting addicted to orgasm control. It was just that Zhou Zefeng’s previous homophobic remarks were still echoing in his ears. The guy looked like someone who couldn’t afford to play and couldn’t keep things straight. Lu Zhao didn’t want a tangled mess that would end up causing him trouble down the line.

Furthermore, when it came to Zhou Zefeng, Lu Zhao had been making exceptions all along. He thought to himself that even if they really were to develop something, even if it was purely orgasm control without actual physical intercourse, Lu Zhao wanted to start with everything completely crystal clear.

Anyone else didn’t matter, it was all just for fun. But Zhou Zefeng was a straight guy, and a college student with a bright future who looked like he had zero romantic experience at that as well. Lu Zhao didn’t want Zhou Zefeng to drive himself to a dead end just because he couldn’t figure things out.

Of course, a bit of selfishness was mixed in there as well, but Lu Zhao kept it perfectly hidden.

Left standing where he was, Zhou Zefeng looked like a homeless stray dog. He followed closely behind Lu Zhao, matching each of his steps and taking his hand, yet not saying a single word.

Lu Zhao turned around and said, “If all you want is to be controlled, that’s fine. If you want to take it further, that’s fine too. But you need to figure that out yourself first. I don’t want any trouble.”

The moment these words left his mouth, Lu Zhao felt like he was sounding more and more like a scumbag top.

“Look me up when you’ve figured it out.”

As he reflected on those words, Zhou Zefeng stared at Lu Zhao’s phone number on the screen. After a moment, he locked his phone, gathered his things, and left the court.

Zhou Zefeng didn’t have to work his part-time job today. After playing basketball in the afternoon, he went straight back to the dorm. Li Zhi was the only one there, sitting at his desk playing games.

After what happened last night, Zhou Zefeng hadn’t intended to talk to him, but unexpectedly, Li Zhi spoke up first.

“Did Lin Weike harass you yesterday morning?”

Zhou Zefeng didn’t say anything, which served as silent confirmation.

“That attention whore, seriously needs to be put in his place!”

Zhou Zefeng corrected him out of nowhere, “Isn’t that a term only used for girls?”

Li Zhi was left speechless, wondering why this kid was taking things so literally, which inexplicably made him want to tease him. He finished his game, turned around, and looked at him with a mocking glance, asking, “You have no plans for the Mid-Autumn Festival?”

“No.”

“It’s about time you get a girlfriend.”

Zhou Zefeng knew Li Zhi didn’t actually care about his relationship status and was just poking fun at his behavior from last night, but he still found himself seriously considering the advice.

Zhou Zefeng had only ever had one brief relationship back in high school. He was a student-athlete at the time, his days fully packed with training. The girl who pursued him was a music student who had written a song for him. Zhou Zefeng couldn’t really say he liked her that much, but he still agreed when she confessed her feelings.

Later on, because her foundational skills were a bit weak, she went out of town for intensive training. Meanwhile, Zhou Zefeng had endless practices every day. With the two of them spending so much time apart, they naturally broke up. The number of times they even held hands could be counted on one hand, and they hadn’t even kissed.

Only later did Zhou Zefeng realize that wasn’t love at all. Agreeing to her confession so carelessly back then had been incredibly irresponsible.

Hearing Li Zhi’s words made Zhou Zefeng think of an ex-girlfriend he had never truly given his heart to. He thought to himself that before he clearly understood his own feelings, he had better not ruin any more girls’ lives.

Zhou Zefeng thought it over and said it out loud. Hearing this, Li Zhi also grew serious, his earlier teasing expression fading as he offered a sincere piece of advice, “It doesn’t necessarily have to be a girlfriend either.”

Zhou Zefeng glanced at him as Li Zhi grinned, patting Zhou Zefeng on the shoulder, “Where is your mind going? I know you’re straight. What I mean is, you don’t necessarily have to lock down a relationship.”

Recalling Li Zhi’s track record of ‘glorious achievements’, Zhou Zefeng showed a look of disapproval, “How can two people who don’t love each other have sex? That’s way too bizarre.”

“See, that’s where you’re missing out. It’s actually more thrilling that way, plus you also don’t have to take any responsibility.”

Zhou Zefeng chose not to comment. The two of them were not cut from the same cloth, so there was no point in saying more. However, Li Zhi’s desire to talk was unusually strong today, and the topic shifted back to Lin Weike; essentially turning into another round of bragging.

Zhou Zefeng interrupted him, “Don’t you like women?”

“It’s all pretty much the same. Guys can take a harder pounding anyway, whereas girls faint at the slightest thing. It’s not like I’m dating him anyway, so what’s the big deal?”

Zhou Zefeng didn’t want to listen to his nonsense anymore. Seeing that he was about to leave, Li Zhi suddenly asked, “But hey, I heard from Lin Weike that you like orgasm control? If that’s the case, it’s understandable why you’re not into the regular stuff.”

Zhou Zefeng looked at Li Zhi, who quickly added, “Don’t get tense now. It’s not like it’s something shameful. Plenty of guys in our department like it. Some even have girlfriends but still go out to find someone to do it for them. This stuff is addictive.”

“Addictive?”

“Yeah, isn’t it super intense? I heard from a buddy of mine that it literally feels like heaven.”

Zhou Zefeng froze. It was as if all the questions weighing on his mind and his days of agonizing conflict had suddenly found an answer—orgasm control was addictive, and even straight guys could enjoy it. Therefore, it was completely normal for him to claw at his own heart like this lately.

So, the reason he was missing Lu Zhao so much was simply because he missed that sensation of pleasure? It turned out that back at the swimming pool, when Lu Zhao told him not to confuse the person with the handiwork, that was exactly what he meant.

Zhou Zefeng thought to himself that he was probably just purely dependent on and nostalgic for that kind of pleasure, rather than any other reason keeping him awake at night.

Besides, if he could actually fall asleep after an orgasm control session, getting a great release while also curing his insomnia, what did it matter if a few videos were filmed? Why not just go for it?

“Hey, I heard it feels even better than regular sex. I kind of want to try it out too. Why don’t you introduce me? Your buddy here has both the build and the length for it.”

Li Zhi’s words instantly soured Zhou Zefeng’s mood, and not just because of the insulting language either. He sized Li Zhi up from head to toe before tossing out a single line, “As if you’re worthy.”

A piece of garbage like this didn’t deserve to be touched by Lu Zhao’s hands.

Li Zhi’s face went entirely black. He didn’t usually interact much with Zhou Zefeng and hadn’t expected him to be this arrogant. His temper flared, and he was ready to start a fight over it, but Zhou Zefeng simply walked out the moment he finished speaking, moving as fast as a gust of wind.

Zhou Zefeng pulled out his phone and dialed Lu Zhao’s number after running out of the dorm.

“Lu Zhao, I’ve figured it out. Where are you?”

Zhou Zefeng had finally convinced himself, and he finally had a legitimate, clear reason to see Lu Zhao.

Standing before Lu Zhao’s door once again, Zhou Zefeng found his mindset completely transformed.

The last time he came, he had been clinging to the hope that his insomnia might be cured, wishing that a miracle doctor would appear the moment the door opened. This time, however, it felt as though a rabbit was trapped in his chest, making him so nervous his heart was practically leaping into his throat.

After pressing the doorbell, Zhou Zefeng heard footsteps approaching closer and closer from behind the door. When it opened, there stood Lu Zhao, wearing a white shirt and completely drenched.

Foam still clung to Lu Zhao’s cheeks and glasses, and he kept his hands raised, unsure where to put them. Disheveled and drenched in sweat, he looked both awkward and somewhat comical.

“You came at the perfect time. I’m giving the dog a bath, come inside and help.”

It was the first time Zhou Zefeng had ever seen Lu Zhao like this. The corners of his mouth lifted without thinking, and he reached out instinctively, brushing away the foam from Lu Zhao’s warm, smooth cheek.

Meeting Lu Zhao’s bewildered gaze, Zhou Zefeng opened his palm and said with perfect composure, “You had foam on you.”

Following behind Lu Zhao, Zhou Zefeng stepped into the bathroom on the first floor. The moment he entered, he spotted Xuebing; the little culprit responsible for Lu Zhao’s current sorry state. The dog was grinning up at Zhou Zefeng with an innocent face and had even stood up, looking ready to pounce right into Zhou Zefeng’s arms.

“Sit your butt back down and behave!” Lu Zhao barked. Seeing his owner angry, Xuebing instantly chickened out, sitting obediently on the floor without moving an inch.

“It’s actually pretty well-behaved. How did you end up in such a mess?” Zhou Zefeng squatted down in front of Xuebing, naturally picking up the body wash from the floor to scrub it down.

Lu Zhao washed his hands at the sink nearby, explaining helplessly as he rinsed, “The moment he heard the doorbell just now, I don’t know what kind of craze came over him, but he suddenly stood up to bolt outside. I managed to hold him back, but the showerhead was still on and sprayed all over me.”

Zhou Zefeng smiled and shook hands with Xuebing, asking, “Did you miss me too?”

“Who misses you? Narcissist.” Lu Zhao assumed Zhou Zefeng was talking to him, but the moment he turned his head and saw Zhou Zefeng holding the dog’s paw, his face instantly darkened as a wave of sheer embarrassment washed over him.

Zhou Zefeng looked up at Lu Zhao, his gaze deep and heavy, “You don’t miss me? I, for one, miss you a lot.”

Lu Zhao wasn’t exactly a master of romance, but he prided himself on being experienced. Yet, he found himself utterly helpless in the current situation. He was a complete mess, and Zhou Zefeng’s gaze was pinned entirely on him as if trying to see right through him.

However, after being stunned for just a fraction of a second, Lu Zhao reclaimed the upper hand. He leaned down and caressed Zhou Zefeng’s face, feeling him stiffen all over.

“Do you really miss me?” Lu Zhao’s fingers tightened slightly, catching Zhou Zefeng’s chin in the web of his thumb and index finger. “Take off your pants and prove it to me.”

Zhou Zefeng slapped away Lu Zhao’s hand. Left completely speechless by a mix of shame and resentment, he sullenly turned his head back around and resumed his movements, focusing entirely on giving the dog a bath.

Seeing the bright red tips of Zhou Zefeng’s ears, Lu Zhao’s mood lifted significantly. He reached out to squeeze Zhou Zefeng’s earlobe before walking out of the bathroom to change his clothes.

Zhou Zefeng turned back to glare resentfully at Lu Zhao’s retreating figure, then glanced down at his own lower half, feeling exceptionally frustrated with his own lack of resolve.
