Zhou Zefeng sat on the chair outside the consultation room, propping his chin up with his hand as he dozed off.

Today was the day Zhou Zefeng had to return to the hospital for his follow-up appointment. He had originally wanted to see Lu Zhao in his absolute best spirits, but unexpectedly, he was dog-tired.

The culprit behind all of this was none other than Zhou Zefeng’s roommate.

Aside from Duan Kai, he had two other roommates. One was a local who was a straight-A student, while the other was a playboy who went through girlfriends one after another, leaving virtually no gaps between relationships.

After being away for a year, Zhou Zefeng returned only to find that his roommate had actually changed his sexual orientation. He was currently in an ongoing, passionate fling with a junior student from the Department of Humanities, and things were as sweet as honey between them every single day. Because they were of the same sex, they often showed affection right there in the dorm. Since Zhou Zefeng trained hard and had a part-time job, he hadn’t run into them in the dorm before, but yesterday he happened to catch them right in the act.

The moment Zhou Zefeng walked back into the dorm; he suffered a critical blow. He averted his eyes, finding the image of the junior student curled up in his roommate’s embrace a bit of an eyesore.

Zhou Zefeng decided to ignore it. He put down his backpack, casually pulled off his sweatshirt, and prepared to grab his clothes for a shower. However, when he looked up, he noticed the junior student staring straight at him, making him feel uncomfortable.

“Hey, slut. What are you looking at? This senior here is straight, don’t even think about it.” The roommate cupped the junior student’s chin and forced his face back into position. Zhou Zefeng shifted his gaze away and went to take his shower without a word.

By the time he finished showering, those two had already shifted their battleground to the bed and had drawn the bed curtains shut.

Ignoring the sounds of flirting from inside, Zhou Zefeng spoke up, asking, “When is he going back to his own dorm? It’s time to sleep.”

“Senior, I’m sleeping here with Li Zhi tonight…”

Before the sentence could even finish, a muffled whimpering sound drifted out. With a sharp click, Zhou Zefeng shut off the lights and warned, “Don’t ruin my sleep.”

The Mid-Autumn Festival holiday had already begun today, so Duan Kai and the straight-A roommate had gone home early in the morning. Now, only the three of them were left in the dorm. Once Li Zhi’s bed curtains were pulled tight, Zhou Zefeng adopted an “out of sight, out of mind” attitude, climbed into bed, and lay down.

Based on his search history on Taobao that day, he had found a niche aromatherapy shop and discovered that they carried the exact same citrus-scented candle that Lu Zhao had in his home. Zhou Zefeng had immediately placed an order, and the package had just arrived today. He had originally planned to enjoy a beautifully fragrant night, but he hadn’t expected Li Zhi to completely ruin the mood.

Zhou Zefeng lit the candle, put on his earphones, and played Lu Zhao’s music playlist, turning a deaf ear to the outside world, wanting nothing more than to get a good night’s sleep.

Unfortunately, he had forgotten to charge his Bluetooth earphones during the day, so they died after playing for just a short while. Zhou Zefeng put the earphones on charge, but the noise they were making kept him wide awake.
