ABV Extra 2

T/N: Hey y’all, I’m a bit burned out atm, so I’m going to take a few weeks of R&R to celebrate ABV being translated. Releases for SABL and IMG will be sporadic until further notice.

My name is Bullet and I am a Malinois according to my previous owner.

When I was very young, I experienced wars that were loud and smelled of smoke. But I wasn’t afraid. I thought the world was like this in the first place. People die often, and afterwards black gas will come out and entangle the people who kill them.

Later, after my first war, I was taken by a group of people to a place called “Military Dog Training Base”. At that time, I realized that there is still such a place in this world. It turned out that I have to learn so many things before I can be sent to the battlefield with people.

After many summers and winters, I was injured in battle. One eye was useless and my bones were broken.

I was afraid that I would be killed and eaten, because, in my childhood memory, my companions who could no longer fight would be killed by those people.

However, the owners of the training base did not kill me. They healed my bones and stopped the bleeding in my eyes. Even though that eye can no longer see, they still love me as before, and they give me food and play with me.

However, I can no longer accompany my master to fight. I have become a useless Malinois.

I don’t like this kind of life very much. Although it’s very comfortable – I can sleep whenever I want, I can be lazy when I don’t want to train, and won’t be punished… But, I don’t like it.

Until one day, two people came to the base.

One of them had a lot of black air wrapped around him, more than anyone I’ve ever seen.

He must have killed a lot of people, otherwise he would not have such a heavy black air.

In the base, all my companions were afraid of the black air.

Of course I was scared too, but I knew they might need a companion, maybe go to war, maybe do something else.

I’m going to follow them and become a useful Malinois again.

Strangely enough, the one entangled in the black air was not like the ones I had met before. He wasn’t fierce at all. He smiled at me, and was gentle when brushing my hair.

I don’t know why he has black air about him, he doesn’t look like a murderer at all.

They took me off base and into a particularly gorgeous yard.

The person with black air told me that he will be my father in the future, and the other tall person with a fragrant body is my mother.

Mom corrected Dad and said he wasn’t my mom.

Dad was not happy, saying that Mom was not humble at all, and asked Mom to choose between “Bullet’s mother” or “let him top once”.

My mother finally chose to be my mother, and said that he would clean up my father at night.

Really brave, actually dare to clean up someone with so much black air.

However, although Dad has a lot of black air, he is really kind to me.

He will cook for me, hold me to watch movies, bathe me, brush my hair, and take me to the training ground in the yard to play.

One day, Dad specially stewed a whole chicken for me. It was fragrant, and he carefully picked out the bones.

I ate all the chicken, and my Dad and Mom could only eat the vegetable leaves in the soup. Dad looked a little upset, Mom said it was a recipe prescribed by the shaping coach and they couldn’t have meat for dinner.

I don’t know what a shaping coach is, but if I can’t eat meat, I’ll be sad.

Mom looked sad too, but he still ate all the leaves in the soup.

At night when Mom is not at home, Dad will hold me and I will sleep in his bed.

The big bed is soft and comfortable, and Dad will kiss my nose.

However, when Mom found out Dad kissed me, he was a little unhappy.

Dad also kissed Mom and asked him, “Why are you still jealous of the dog?” Then Mom kicked me out of the room and closed the door.

They probably had a fight on the bed. I could hear the mattress vibrate, and Dad was screaming softly, as if in pain. But at the same time, he kept laughing. I don’t know why he laughed even when shouting out in pain. I guess it was because the fight was about to be won, so he was very happy.

I learned later that they liked to fight like this.

It seems that no one wins this kind of fight, but they have a lot of fun, and they will kiss while fighting, and hug each other after a fight and make up.

But whether Dad has the upper hand or not, he is the one yelling every time.

After a while, my parents took me to a place I didn’t know, because my father wanted to learn to skydive.

I know about skydiving. When I was training before, I also learned to skydive with my master. At that time, the owner would hold me and jump out of the plane that was flying very high. We fell down for a long time, before he opened a big umbrella that took us to the ground slowly.

I was scared at first, but I’m not scared anymore. I like the feeling of looking at the forest and river below from up high.

Unfortunately, my parents never took me with them to go skydiving.

I don’t know if they will also jump off like I did with my previous owner.

Mom and Dad still fight a lot.

I think I know why they’re fighting.

After every time they fight, the black air entangling Dad’s body will dissipate a little bit. However, sometimes there is no need to fight, as long as Mom stays by his side, the black air from Dad will slowly disappear.

Later, my parents took me to a snow-covered mountain.

Snowboarding is something I don’t know, but seeing how happy my Dad is every day, it must be a very interesting game, otherwise my Dad would not prefer to snowboard the next day, as compared to fighting with Mom.

But in the end they fought, and Dad looked happier than when he came back from snowboarding.

Sometimes, Mom and Dad go out together for a long time.

When they do, they will ask someone called an assistant to take care of me, cook for me, take me out for walks, and video call Mom and Dad.

The assistant is also nice to me, but I still like Dad more.

After another two winters, my parents decided to take me to their workplace, saying they wanted to give me a role. I don’t know what a role is, but no matter what job I do, I will take it seriously.

I will definitely turn back into a useful Malinois.

I followed Mom and Dad to a place called “The Crew”.

There are a lot of people here, and I haven’t figured out what they’re doing, but I’ll observe and learn.

Mom was dressed up like my old master, with fancy clothes and a gun that didn’t breathe fire, and everyone pretended to be fighting a war. I don’t know why, but my father dressed up as a bad guy and fought against my mother, and he repeatedly beat him for a long time before he “passed”, and then he continued to fight in another way.

It seemed like a fun game, and Dad took me in with him and let me yell at others.

I know it’s not a real war, but I pretended to be serious. They praised me as a good dog, smart and understanding. I am very happy to work with my parents.

However, I don’t quite understand this game of “filming”.

Playing and playing, my father became my mother’s comrade-in-arms. I heard from others that he seemed to be called “undercover”, which was a very dangerous job.

Later, there was a guy in the “crew” who was going to bully Dad. I was so angry that I broke off the leash and rushed up, knocking the guy down.

But he brushed me before, and he has a good relationship with my parents. He should be a good person, so I didn’t bite him, just growled at him a few times.

Dad laughed. He hugged and kissed me several times, and told me it was just acting, not real.

I don’t know what acting is. But no one can bully Dad except Mom!

After that, they took me and my parents to a big mountain, and continued to play the “filming” game.

Mom was injured while filming on the mountain, with a big cut on his leg and a lot of blood. Dad was very anxious and stayed by Mom’s side until the helicopter came to take Mom to the hospital.

However, the next day, my parents came back to continue filming.

I could hear that Mom was breathing heavily while filming, and the wound must still be hurting, but there was no sign of discomfort on his face, and he was still filming seriously.

During the break, Dad asked Mom if his leg hurt. Mom smiled and said it didn’t hurt, but Dad knew right away that he was lying.

I realized that “filming” is not a simple game.

Just like in war, even if you are injured while filming, you must continue to persevere and cannot quit.

However, I don’t understand why Mom will fight with Dad even though his leg is injured, and let Dad ride on him.

Can this kind of fighting help healing?

After many spring, summer, autumn and winter, my parents still insist on filming. Whenever they’re not filming, they will take me to travel to various places.

Not only have I seen snow-capped mountains, I have also been to the desert, seen the aurora, skydived with my mother in the canyon, and surfed with my father in the ocean.

Of course, Mom and Dad still like to fight, not only on the bed, but sometimes in the bathroom, in the car, in the tent, on the beach, in the woods…

After an unknown period of time, Dad’s black air faded more and more.

One day, Mom and Dad picked up a litter of kittens that were thrown away, and brought them home.

At the beginning, the kittens were still afraid of Dad, but after getting along for a long time, they became more courageous, and even dared climb on Dad’s head and make trouble.

Later, Mom moved into a new home with Dad, me, and the cats. It is said that this will be the place where we will often come for vacation in the future.

This home is on a mountain, there is a small river under the mountain, and there is a waterfall not far away. There’s a large yard with many different trees, and a vegetable garden behind the house. There’s also a pond in the corner of the vegetable garden with many fish inside.

The cats seem to be very interested in these fish. I don’t know if these fish can survive a winter.

Dad happily hugged Mom and kissed for a long time, saying that he liked this home very much.

That night, Mom and Dad really fought again, and fought several times until the moon rose and set, and it was not over yet…
