AITFYMIBP Chapter 123

TL: Hua

Chapter 123: That feels so f*cking good!!!!!

The malicious trending searches against Lin Yanran went up fast, but Jingshi’s face-slapping rebuttal was even faster.

Looking at that magnificent, vast array of Jingshi subsidiary names in the reposts, some netizens opened the repost list and scrolled down for a long time. They saw row after row of official corporate accounts sliding past, but they simply couldn’t reach the bottom.

Many people had heard of Jingshi Group, but it felt too distant from the average person. To netizens, the words “Jingshi Group” used to just be a synonym for wealth.

But today, after seeing the official accounts of Jingshi’s subsidiaries coming out together to control the comment section and seeing a list so long it had no end, they truly experienced just how massive and wealthy this conglomerate actually was…

And the reason they all appeared at once was to clear the name of their own young master…

This kind of thing was truly unheard of and unseen in the entertainment industry.

After seeing those words from the top-reposted subsidiaries clarifying things for Lin Yanran, netizens, whose minds had been blank for a long time, finally reacted and began to extract the keywords.

The chairman’s younger brother, a dance master, a Chinese painting master, a calligraphy master, a royal noble designer…

Every single one of these, if taken individually, was a powerful character trope that could sustain a face-slapping power fantasy novel on Jinjiang. Yet, somehow, Lin Yanran had collected them all.

So, all that time they spent mocking him for being poor and destitute, was it all for nothing?

Everything about the young master was real, truer than pearls!

#TheClownIsActuallyMe#

Netizens who had been swayed by the rumors immediately went to find their previous comments where they had followed the crowd in mocking him. They wanted to delete them, terrified of being whipped in public or suffering social death if others upvoted them.

However, once they clicked into Lin Yanran’s Weibo, they found that under the post with over 1 million comments, the latest messages were all things like:

“Witnessing history!”

“A series you only see once in a lifetime!”

“Does the young master’s family still need younger siblings!! The college-student kind (Dog head emoji)”

“Shock! My wife is actually a wealthy young master on the run!”

“I’m calling him ‘husband’ right now!!!”

“Fly bravely, Wifey; if anything happens, Jingshi has your back (Fearless.jpg)”

Those previous comments mocking Lin Yanran had long since been buried in some unknown corner.

Nobody wanted to give the clowns any more attention; they only wanted to spectate this wealthy young master who was pampered by thousands!

The netizens watching Jingshi’s moves were incredibly excited. After all, in all their lives, this was the first time they had seen such a powerful and magnificent face-slapping drama on the internet. They were so busy eating the melon that their hands were shaking with joy.

Netizens kept commenting and reposting, all wanting to leave a trace of their presence on this historic night.

Drama involving an entertainment industry A-lister is attractive enough; usually, when an A-lister gets married or dates, Weibo crashes. Tonight, an A-lister’s life background was revealed, and it involved a mega-wealthy family, with a process so full of twists and turns, it perfectly hit every gossip-loving nerve of people nationwide.

Netizens who heard about the news through various channels in a short time flooded into Weibo to get a first-hand look.

As a result, Weibo lived up to expectations and crashed.

Consequently, everyone couldn’t even load that Jingshi Weibo post that was said to have such an incredible lineup.

But it didn’t matter if Weibo crashed; there were still the forums.

Within ten minutes of Jingshi posting the Weibo, no matter which gossip forum or group you opened, the front page was covered in “Jingshi, Jingshi, Yanran, Yanran.” The entire internet was discussing tonight’s events!

Inside a certain large gossip group, a post manually pinned to the top by netizens reached 7,000 replies in just a few minutes.

Subject: Sisters!!! Go to Weibo now!!!!!

Main Post: This is the most satisfying face-slapping drama I’ve ever consumed. Even Jinjiang power fantasy novels wouldn’t dare write it this way!! Also, does Teacher Yanran’s background actually exist in reality? (Lights a cigarette)

1L: My eyes have been blinded. I’m tired of saying Teacher Yanran is the goat. Now I just want a sister to give me a rundown of exactly how powerful the Jingshi Group is. (Lights cigarette nostalgically)

2L: I don’t know how powerful Jingshi is. I only know that the names of every single subsidiary that reposted it are very famous.

3L: To be honest, that magnificent row of reposts and the content tonight really shocked me.

4L: The funniest part is that many subsidiaries coming in later are feeling devastated, regretting that their internet lagged by a few seconds, which made them miss the chance to mock the haters…

5L: This whole wave felt like a steady, protective older brother bringing a bunch of hyperactive underlings to back up and fight for their favorite son. I’m dying of laughter. Is this what old money is like? Hahaha (positive sense).

6L: But it really feels great. Those marketing accounts are just like clowns!

101L: A certain someone’s fans are also behaving like total clowns.

102L: A certain family was bragging about their idol wearing a watch worth over a million, but it turns out Yanran’s brooch is worth eight figures! And yet they insisted on slandering it as a 30-yuan Taobao bestseller. That brooch is clearly a limited-edition collectible from a famous master, encrusted with gems.

103L: Oh right, a certain family was also smugly bragging that their idol borrowed a current season haute couture piece and used it to diss Yanran for wearing a knock-off. Turns out the suit Yanran wore is actually Odersan’s handmade private custom.

104L: Uncultured person asking here. Who is Odersan?

105L: Odersan… just an ordinary person, a side-hustle designer. He’s a royal prince who is very popular abroad but only occasionally finds time to design clothes for his top-tier wealthy friends. P.S. If any foreign celebrity manages to wear a dress he designed, they’d post a dozen Instagram stories in a row to brag like crazy.

104L: I just went to Odersan’s Instagram. Two minutes ago, he posted Yanran’s red carpet photo from tonight, and he’s currently hyped up and blowing rainbow farts about Yanran.

105L: And he even asked Yanran to call him Sansan. He looks so cold and aloof, but in front of Yanran, he acts like a primary school kid. LMAO.

106L: Oh, sisters, is Odersan also eating the drama live? He just posted an update very indignantly, explaining the origin of the formal wear Yanran wore tonight. He said it’s from his proudest “Muse” series and that he designed a suit from the same series for Yanran’s biological brother, Lin Yunzhe, a year ago. I guess the brother’s suit was copied by some shameless knock-off brand, and because it’s the same series, it looked a bit similar to what Yanran wore tonight. That’s how Yanran got friendly fire and was wrongly accused of wearing a high-imitation knock-off.

107L: So to summarize, the way that certain family threw dirt is truly a total clown move.

507L: After reading the summary of all the drama tonight, I really, really feel for Yanran. It was such an undeserved disaster.

508L: Better to pity myself instead QWQ. Yanran has the looks, the grades, and such a good family background. I am incredibly envious.

509L: It’s okay, sister. You can still get Teacher Yanran’s style: the same white T-shirt, the same bicycle, and the same roadside food stalls.

510L: To tell you the truth, the outfit he wore while eating noodles and that bicycle are already sold out on Taobao! Even that knock-off brooch the haters mocked so hard is out of stock.

520L: Even that can sell out? Yanran’s ability to move merchandise is miraculous, hahaha.

569: Now that you mention it, I can suddenly feel how truly low-key and down-to-earth Teacher Yanran is. His family is clearly so rich, yet he’s so frugal and didn’t breathe a word about his background before.

570L: That’s why he deserves to be famous. There’s really nothing wrong with his character; it was all just the haters forcing their hate.

6000L: So sisters, you’ve dug up so much, but I’m really curious: wasn’t Yanran abandoned by the Xuan family? And he lived so miserably before. How did his parents suddenly become so powerful?

6050L: Hey sister, I’m just guessing here. Is it possible that Yanran was kidnapped or got lost when he was little? Basically, he ended up stranded due to some accident and was adopted by the Xuan family. Didn’t that incident make such a huge scene last time? Maybe his biological parents noticed him then, thought he looked like their lost son, and after finding him, realized he really was their child who had been missing.

6080L: If that’s the case, I can understand why Jingshi is being so firm about coming out to back Yanran up this time.

6666L: You can tell the family definitely spoils and loves Yanran. Honestly, with this level of presence, if the Chairman of Jingshi, Lin Yunzhe, was the one being slandered, he probably wouldn’t make such a big fuss. But as long as it involves his precious younger brother, there’s no room for negotiation. Everyone has to get out here and get their faces slapped.

6998L: Wuwuwu, please give me a brother who pampers me like this!

6999L: Sister, wake up! [But Yanran is my husband] (Dog head emoji).

7000L: Wow, hearing you guys put it that way makes it feel even more dramatic! What a powerful and legendary life story Yanran has!

While the melon-eating crowd was consuming the drama, they discovered that Weibo had been fixed.

Once Weibo was back up, everyone rushed to the front lines again, only to find that Siyu had also quickly posted a Weibo.

This time, Siyu didn’t post a statement; they posted a lawyer’s letter.

The letter listed a long string of IDs of Weibo marketing accounts they intended to sue, as well as the account numbers of anonymous whistleblowers on various major forums.

Siyu’s wording was also very intense: “We sternly warn the above-mentioned slanderers to immediately delete all relevant false content upon the issuance of this statement, formally apologize to Mr. Lin Yanran in public, compensate for losses, and bear the corresponding legal responsibilities. Regarding such malicious slander incidents, our company will pursue accountability to the end, regardless of the cost!”

The lawyer’s letter listed a very, very long string of names. Netizens counted nearly a hundred, and many were those foul-smelling marketing accounts that everyone recognized.

[Holy crap, so many marketing accounts, and people actually stepped in to spread fake drama.]

[I really don’t believe this was a coincidence.]

[Someone must have intentionally hired water armies.]

[@MarketingAccounts @Rumormongers, get the hell out of here and apologize now!]

Siyu’s reaction was also extremely fast. In the shortest time possible, they identified every single person who spread rumors and called them out without missing a soul.

Many celebrity teams have sued marketing accounts before, but usually, these foul accounts only post a half-hearted, perfunctory apology on Weibo after the lawsuit is over and the court has reached a verdict—insincere and disgusting.

However, tonight, the marketing accounts named by Siyu acted out of character and apologized instantly, one after another.

Not only did they immediately delete their slanderous posts, but they also came out to apologize publicly, each one posting faster and appearing more sincerely repentant than the last.

The owners of these marketing accounts either recorded video apologies in person or posted handwritten letters of apology, and all of them proactively expressed their willingness to compensate for losses.

The tone of the marketing accounts this time was earnest, and their attitude was humble, literally kneeling into the dust.

After all, this time they hadn’t just offended an entertainment star.

The “sugar daddy” standing behind Yanran was someone they couldn’t afford to provoke. If they didn’t kneel now, it wouldn’t be as simple as an apology and deleting a post later.

[When it comes to making arrogant marketing accounts behave and kneel, I only respect Jingshi.]

[“Your Daddy is still your Daddy.]

[Thanks to Daddy Jingshi for letting me witness Part 2 of the ‘Once in a Lifetime’ series in the entertainment industry: the collective kneeling of foul marketing accounts.]

[What was Part 1 of ‘Once in a Lifetime’?]

[Part 1 was the wealthy family’s group-pampering the young master, hahaha.]

While the marketing accounts were apologizing, they were truly afraid of getting into big trouble. Their words were all aimed at distancing themselves, claiming they were deliberately misled by someone with ulterior motives.

And as for who this “someone with motives” was, the marketing accounts directly posted screenshots of their chat logs.

Netizens dug into it, and—good heavens!—wasn’t it the people from Si Mingxu’s team?

[So this whole wave was Si Mingxu’s doing??]

[I was wondering why his fans were jumping so high this time; turns out they were acting on team instructions.]

[Why would Si Mingxu do this?]

[Please be aware that flopping makes people go crazy.]

[For the same role, a candid photo of Yanran’s audition can outshine someone’s highly photoshopped pictures. Naturally, whoever is uglier is the one who’s embarrassed.]

[It’s not the first time this ugly person has done this; my idol was targeted by him before too.]

[Si Mingxu: I never expected that after walking by the riverbank so often, I’d finally slip and fall this time.]

After the marketing accounts apologized, Siyu followed up immediately, directly tagging Si Mingxu and demanding he come out to give a reasonable explanation.

Siyu’s official account didn’t just point out Si Mingxu; they also directly tagged the “Sparrow Feather” crew: “We advise you to release a movie with a clean and civilized intention. Don’t engage in so many petty tricks (smile emoji).”

[Oh boy, even Siyu is getting sarcastic! This feels great!!]

[Good job, Siyu! Tear into them louder, smash their faces.]

[Oho, so it turns out more than one person was causing trouble. That ‘clean and civilized’ is definitely worth thinking about.]

[Since Siyu dares to be this bold, they must have evidence. Could it be that you guys were the ones who leaked the ‘Being An Older Brother Again’ footage previously?]

Netizens have been repeatedly dissecting the cycle of Lin Yanran being smeared and then immediately retaliating with a “face-slap.”

Earlier, when marketing accounts leaked that Si Mingxu’s team was behind it, everyone was puzzled; while stepping on others and mutual smearing are common, his team wasn’t powerful enough to orchestrate black material on such a swift and massive scale as tonight.

But now that “Sparrow Feather” has been dragged into the light, everything that people couldn’t figure out before suddenly clicked.

[I was wondering why someone suddenly started targeting Yanran; turns out, it’s because he’s blocking the box office. Seeing Yanran’s starring movie achieve double success in box office and reputation, your eyes must be bleeding red with envy!]

[Trash movies don’t respect the audience and don’t think about how to improve the plot; instead, they spend all day thinking about how to mess with their peers. No wonder it’s ugly and a flop.]

[Surely no one is still going to give their money to a trash movie like “Sparrow Feather,” right?]

Neither Si Mingxu’s team nor the “Sparrow Feather” crew could sleep a wink all night.

They never expected that by targeting a small production crew and an actor, they would end up covered in filth themselves.

This Yanran is also quite wicked. Usually, he doesn’t show off at all and looks like just an ordinary celebrity; who could have known his family background was so powerful!

Jingshi Group—is that something they can afford to provoke?

With things blowing up to this extent, Si Mingxu couldn’t bear the weight alone.

He hurriedly called the people on the film crew’s side, but the other side couldn’t even save themselves, let alone protect him.

After a night of torment that left Si Mingxu looking haggard and as if he’d aged ten years, he finally discussed it with his manager and decided to have the manager come forward, apologize, and take the fall.

There was no other way; they weren’t facing Siyu now, but the Jingshi Group behind him. Jingshi was clearly out to vent their young master’s frustrations; if they didn’t provide an explanation, playing dead wasn’t going to fool anyone.

Soon, Si Mingxu’s team posted on Weibo.

The statement was long and rambling, but the final point was to shift the blame to the manager while simultaneously distancing the artist to claim he was unaware and innocent.

“Sparrow Feather” followed suit, playing dumb and issuing a statement to absolve itself of responsibility.

After reading the two statements, netizens were amused.

[LOL, are you guys testing my IQ?]

[No one actually thinks Si Mingxu and “Sparrow Feather” are pure, innocent white lotuses, right?]

[How come I remember some disgraced celebrities issuing similar white lotus statements right before they went to jail?]

[Going to jail? Sister, if you can talk like that, say more!]

After issuing the statements, Si Mingxu and the “Sparrow Feather” crew were still very apprehensive, worried about what Jingshi’s attitude would be.

As it turned out, after waiting a day, Jingshi didn’t take a stand, and there was no movement.

On the second day, thinking the storm had passed, they finally relaxed their nerves and wanted to get a good night’s sleep.

However, the Tax Bureau directly intervened in the “Sparrow Feather” production crew, stating they found significant issues with the actors’ salaries and other investment costs and were launching an investigation into suspected money laundering and other illegal operations.

At the same time, major cinemas simultaneously pulled “Sparrow Feather” from theaters, no longer giving them any chance to rake in money.

Since there were issues with the salary contracts for “Sparrow Feather,” Si Mingxu was naturally dragged into it.

On one hand, his accounts were found to have issues, and he faced hundreds of millions of yuan in tax evasion fines; on the other hand, brands, one after another, came forward to terminate their contracts with him. The compensation for various liquidated damages left him in a state of utter exhaustion.

Of course, for him, this wasn’t the worst outcome.

The worst part was that a tainted artist like him was to be directly banned.

In an instant, all his related works across the internet were taken down or had his shots deleted, and his Weibo posts were directly blocked.

Overnight, Si Mingxu went from being a pampered A-list star to vanishing from the entertainment industry, returning to the status of a commoner.

Furthermore, if he cannot pay back the money from the tax evasion in the future, he will likely end up in jail!

The netizens who watched the whole process clapped their hands happily and gave the most pertinent evaluation of the matter—

That feels so f*cking good!!!!!

Getting close to the end of the main story and it’s still unknown as to who the scum was that harmed the puppy. Either the author forgot, or, there’s a last boss to face in the coming chapters.
