TAISS – Chapter 53

The resort had a fishing spot, a popular photo-op location, and a place for barbecue.

Lin Jianheng wasn’t in a hurry. Considering Yan Su’s pregnancy, she crossed food off the immediate plan.

As for whether Jian Lingxuan and her wife would sneak off for some, Lin Jianheng couldn’t control that.

On the other hand, if Jian Lingxuan went alone, Lin Jianheng was quite curious to see what Lu Yuanchen would do.

The afternoon sun was brilliant, so the four of them went to the photo spot first.

Jian Lingxuan’s optical computer was filled with photos of Lu Yuanchen, as well as pictures of the two of them and their family together.

But this was the first time Lin Jianheng had taken photos of her girlfriend at a scenic spot.

The content from the period when she had been possessed had been wiped clean, and all the videos of Yan Su had been deleted.

It was time to add some new ones.

“Keep your hat on properly, be careful not to get a tan,” Lin Jianheng said, carefully placing the sun hat on Yan Su’s head and stroking her face in the process.

Yan Su squinted her kitten-like eyes, looking like she was about to start purring.

“Can we take one together?” Yan Su asked, watching Lin Jianheng adjust the optical computer. She pressed close to her, not minding the heat at all.

Lin Jianheng could tolerate it too. Even though their clothes had temperature control, the heat from their bodies pressing together was still intense.

She didn’t refuse the sweaty embrace. In fact, she welcomed it.

Jian Lingxuan watched them quietly, gently poking Lu Yuanchen’s finger.

Sigh, a new couple. Sigh, so clingy. Sigh, conjoined twins.

Lu Yuanchen merely listened. The heat made her too lazy to even speak, her eyelids drooping. If she didn’t have to walk, she could have gone into summer hibernation right there on the spot.

“Can you…” Lu Yuanchen managed to interject as Jian Lingxuan finally paused.

She couldn’t get a full sentence out quickly; any faster and she felt she’d melt under the sun. She had to use all her strength to interrupt Jian Lingxuan.

Jian Lingxuan fell silent. When she wasn’t talking, her eyes were round, lacking the unconscious crescent shape they took on when she was excited. It was a different kind of cute.

Lu Yuanchen simply leaned against her, gently brushing against Jian Lingxuan’s shoulder.

“What is it?” Jian Lingxuan leaned in as well, unsure of what Lu Yuanchen wanted.

She was terribly afraid of the heat and had set her clothes to a low temperature.

Lu Yuanchen, on the other hand, disliked that she was prone to sweating. In previous years, they wouldn’t go out to play, and it was fine when they stayed in a temperature-controlled room. But if they were really going to be out and about…

She wouldn’t change her nature and cling to her under the sun.

“Can you carry me?” Lu Yuanchen had seen Lin Jianheng carry Yan Su earlier and was envious.

She was too lazy to walk, and her wife was strong. She could help her out.

“Aren’t you hot?” Jian Lingxuan was a little eager to try.

“Let’s try,” Lu Yuanchen said, looking like she was about to fall asleep.

Jian Lingxuan decisively wrapped her arms around her and…

Hoisted her over her shoulder.

“…” Lu Yuanchen was instantly wide awake.

“Jian Lingxuan, put me down,” she said, slapping Jian Lingxuan’s head.

Was Jian Lingxuan a romantic idiot? She’d never seen her be this dense before.

“Aren’t we walking? This makes it easier to exert force,” Jian Lingxuan said, her excuse sounding rather plausible.

She was still busy buying a ball-serving machine.

Lu Yuanchen didn’t want to stay.

Jian Lingxuan loosened her grip slightly, shifting Lu Yuanchen forward. The moment Lu Yuanchen’s feet touched the ground, she was airborne again.

“I told you to put me down.” Her brow was furrowed so tightly that Jian Lingxuan finally gave her the princess carry she wanted.

“No way, it’s not often I get to hold you,” Jian Lingxuan said, her own brain fried by the heat. She didn’t know what she was thinking just now, carrying her like that.

Her sister must have corrupted her by sending all those couple videos.

A subtle look of displeasure crossed Lu Yuanchen’s face, but she didn’t struggle. Instead, she reached out and pulled Jian Lingxuan a little closer.

“How are we supposed to take pictures like this?” After two minutes, Lu Yuanchen started to feel sticky and finally vented her slight annoyance.

“I’ll call my sister over.”

In the ten or so minutes they had been fooling around, Lin Jianheng had already taken quite a few photos of Yan Su.

Playful and cute. Yes, yes, look at the camera, turn your head slightly, close your eyes. She held the optical computer, full of enthusiasm.

Jian Lingxuan used to say her photos were terrible, but today Lin Jianheng finally understood why. It was because she never had someone she particularly wanted to photograph before.

Lu Yuanchen was determined to leave Yan Su with the most beautiful photos, and Lin Jianheng, without any instruction, had also figured out how to compose shots and frame scenes.

“Master, I want to be with you,” Yan Su said, unable to hold back any longer. She didn’t need photos for herself, but it was different if Lin Jianheng was by her side.

“I’ll have my sister take them for us later.” Didn’t she pride herself on her photography skills? If the photos turned out bad, Jian Lingxuan would have to cover all the expenses for this trip.

Their thoughts were surprisingly aligned.

When they met up, Lin Jianheng found the sight of Lu Yuanchen draped over Jian Lingxuan quite novel. She pulled her own wife along and circled the two of them a few times.

“Should I carry you too?” she whispered, leaning down to brush against Yan Su’s ear.

The breath sent a shiver through Yan Su. She looked at Lu Yuanchen’s languid posture and felt a little tempted.

“Shy?” Lin Jianheng glanced at Yan Su’s watery eyes and knew what she was thinking.

The breath tickled Yan Su’s ear, making her whole body tremble, and she instinctively burrowed into Lin Jianheng’s embrace.

“It’s just them. I’m not shy.” Yan Su seemed to have gotten addicted to being held. She wasn’t usually this proactive.

“Then, Master, I want a hug.” Yan Su was no longer the same as before. Having been “punished” earlier, she had adapted quite a bit. She opened her arms and was in Lin Jianheng’s embrace.

“Yes, Sister Yan.” Jianheng was no romantic idiot; she held her tightly, wanting Yan Su to press against her chest, close enough that she could kiss her forehead just by lowering her head.

By the time Jian Lingxuan arrived carrying Lu Yuanchen to ask Lin Jianheng to take a photo, Lin Jianheng was already sitting on a floral bench, whispering and chatting with Yan Su.

“I don’t have a free hand to help.” Although Lin Jianheng could use her special ability to control the camera, laziness ultimately won out.

Besides, carrying her wife was partly fueled by her sense of rivalry with Jian Lingxuan.

“It’s only been a few days, can’t you even create a single crystal?” Jian Lingxuan retorted without ceremony.

Lin Jianheng shot her a look, her appraising gaze sweeping from top to bottom. “I remember your camera can float and take pictures automatically, right?”

“The automatic ones are ugly,” Jian Lingxuan said, just wanting to bother Lin Jianheng.

“Are the ones I take not ugly?” Lin Jianheng was still holding a grudge, her hand pulling down her eyelid yesterday.

She was tired. She very deliberately switched to holding Yan Su with one hand.

Yan Su was very light and small, and also very cooperative. After days of practice, Lin Jianheng had successfully mastered the skill of carrying her wife with one hand.

This wasn’t the first time Jian Lingxuan had seen Lin Jianheng’s arrogance.

She could be indifferent, but Lu Yuanchen lingered for an extra glance.

She remembered that Jian Lingxuan’s physique was quite a bit better than Lin Jianheng’s. Lin Jianheng’s special ability was powerful, and her mind even more so, but she had never seen her lose in this aspect.

This was one of the few areas where Jian Lingxuan could win against her younger sister, so naturally, she wouldn’t admit defeat. She had even enrolled in a military academy for a year and graduated at the top of her class.

Although Jian Lingxuan rarely had the opportunity to use this strength in her daily life.

But she shouldn’t be unable to carry her with one hand.

Lu Yuanchen’s gaze shot back to Jian Lingxuan.

Jian Lingxuan’s brain felt like an overinflated balloon; she quickly switched to one hand.

She had lost this round. Damn it, she had to win it back tonight!

After taking photos, the group went to fish by the pond.

The color of the pond was different from the world Lin Jianheng had transmigrated from; it was a brilliant orange-red, similar to a sunset.

It was said that because the fish in the lake were different, their waste could change the color of the water.

Lin Jianheng explained this to Yan Su while teaching her how to bait the hook.

She was very dexterous with her hands and learned such things quickly. When she was little, her mothers had often taken her and Jian Lingxuan to nearby farm resorts.

The tea table and tent set up by the pond were all new. Lin Jianheng and Yan Su pressed close together, learning with great enthusiasm.

Jian Lingxuan, however, was dumbfounded. She had grown tired of this as a child and had been here with Lu Yuanchen before.

She casually attached some bait, cast her line, and lay back on a beach chair to chat with Lu Yuanchen.

Lu Yuanchen’s eyes could barely stay open. She was very satisfied with this kind of activity that required no effort from her, just setting things up.

She never caught much anyway; most of the time, she didn’t catch a single fish.

Although Lin Jianheng had experience, she couldn’t always catch a lot either.

This time, Lady Luck smiled upon Yan Su.

A fish took her hook just five minutes after she cast her line. As for Lin Jianheng, the one she caught was with Yan Su’s help.

What skill. Only reverse skill.

The fish would only bite after eating its fill. No, that wasn’t it. Lin Jianheng saw it and didn’t let that fish get away.

By the time the fifth fish of the summer vacation went into the bucket, only an hour and a half had passed.

Lin Jianheng’s bucket still only contained one small fish.

“Tonight’s dinner depends on you, Sister Yan,” Lin Jianheng said, feeling no sense of rivalry with her wife.

“The fish you make isn’t presentable. If Yan Su catches a lot, doesn’t that mean she’s a good teacher?”

“Do you want to eat them?” Yan Su asked, feeling a bit intimidated by the bucket of colorful fish.

These fish really didn’t look edible.

“Look at you, Sister Yan. If you don’t like them, we have other options. My sister booked a restaurant and also a spot for an outdoor barbecue. We can eat whatever you want,” Lin Jianheng said, leaning on Yan Su’s shoulder.

Her Sister Yan was so amazing, able to master anything quickly.

“Then… should we not eat them? If we put them back, will they still live?” It wasn’t just Yan Su; the two she was carrying were also hesitant.

Sister Yan declined to eat fish that looked poisonous.

“It’s fine, I’ll handle it later.” Lin Jianheng squinted at Yan Su, swaying slightly along with her.

Lin Jianheng held her, her eyes on Yan Su.

“They’ll live.” She reached out and placed her hand on Yan Su’s belly, giving the two picky little ones their favorite temperature.

“Don’t bother your mama,” she said, sending a bit of her pheromones over, carrying her instruction.

The two little ones instantly quieted down. Mommy was much scarier than Mama; they didn’t dare disobey.

Yan Su held Lin Jianheng’s hand, her eyes curving into crescents. “I actually don’t feel that uncomfortable. We should consider what the little ones mean, too.”

“For the most part, it’s not their turn to voice an opinion yet,” Lin Jianheng said, simply unable to stand it.

“But Yan Su, you’re being bullied. Now and in the future, you’re the one who calls the shots.” She turned her hand over and clasped Yan Su’s, their fingers intertwining.

Yan Su lifted their joined hands to her cheek, even putting down her fishing rod, and laughed softly, her body shaking with mirth.

“I’m serious, Sister Yan. You’re the most important,” Lin Jianheng said, taking the opportunity to stroke her wife’s flushed face, deepening Yan Su’s joy.

The children were truly an accident. Neither of them was ready, but since they were here, they could only raise them well.

They themselves were the partners they spent day and night with, the ones they had carefully chosen after their feelings deepened.

In this respect, Lin Jianheng was even more biased than Yan Su. Whenever she rationed her pheromones, Yan Su always came first, with the two little ones second.

Since she wasn’t lacking in fluids at all, the two little ones didn’t fight each other for nutrients or cause a fuss. They followed the rules and stayed quiet every day.

Unless Yan Su had a stronger desire to communicate, occasionally expressing her feelings in a roundabout way, the younger sister-cub was completely silent.

“Then we’ll ignore them,” Yan Su said obediently. If Lin Jianheng said to ignore them, she wouldn’t listen to the two little ones’ “baby talk” either.

“Mhm, we’ll ignore them. What does Sister Yan want for dinner?”

Before long, the two had decided on dinner, released the fish back into the lake, and abandoned their fishing gear and her sister’s family to go eat at the restaurant.

Having not caught anything, Lu Yuanchen opened her eyes. “Weren’t we having grilled fish?”

“…The only one who caught any fish threw them back.” Jian Lingxuan hadn’t had time to stop her.

She had quickly looked it up; although the fish were a frighteningly bright red, they were artificially bred, non-toxic, safe to eat, and delicious.

Jian Lingxuan had been craving them for a long time.

Although she could order them, it just wasn’t the same as eating fish you caught yourself.

“Then let’s just eat at the restaurant,” Lu Yuanchen said without any strong opinions. She sat up with a lazy stretch, her bones feeling like they were about to melt.

The restaurant was more convenient. Even though Jian Lingxuan always fed her, eating at the restaurant meant she didn’t have to sit outside and wait.

“Carry me,” Lu Yuanchen said, and with a single word, she had Jian Lingxuan wrapped around her finger.

Jian Lingxuan giggled as she packed up, even managing to carry her partner, successfully becoming the most tired person of the day.

That evening, Yan Su was hungry and ate a little more than usual.

She walked arm-in-arm with Lin Jianheng. On their way, they saw Jian Lingxuan say she was going to a bar, while Lu Yuanchen returned to their room alone.

“Will Sister Yuanchen be very angry?” Yan Su asked, finding Jian Lingxuan’s behavior odd and whispering to Lin Jianheng.

“Definitely.” Lin Jianheng had just told Yan Su about the two’s past.

“She hates it when my sister tests her with things like this. She also finds it strange that Jian Lingxuan would go to a bar again.”

Theoretically, the two of them hadn’t fought recently.

“Could it be that Sister Yuanchen agreed to it?” Yan Su offered her guess.

“Come on, let’s go see.” Lin Jianheng grabbed Yan Su and pulled her toward the bar.

The two of them snuck around furtively and found the most secluded spot to sit down.

Yan Su had never done anything like this before and didn’t know this was a regular occurrence for the old Lin Jianheng. Her heart raced, finding it fun.

Lin Jianheng, on the other hand, was incredibly skilled. She created a surveillance device with her body, adjusted the angle, and aimed it at Jian Lingxuan, who was sitting at the bar chatting with the bartender.

“This bartender looks a little familiar,” Lin Jianheng said, moving the crystal.

Yan Su leaned against her like a hamster, a dairy product Lin Jianheng had specially given her still in her mouth, puffing out her cheeks. Her watery eyes stared blankly at the crystal.

Lin Jianheng’s attention was drawn to Yan Su. Her mind filled with thoughts of how cute her wife was, and she forgot to try and recall who the bartender was.

“We have to record this.” After a moment, Lin Jianheng stopped fiddling and scratched her little cat’s chin. A mischievous idea struck her. She turned on the recording function and sent the video to Lu Yuanchen.

“Speaking of which, I’ve done this several times before,” Lin Jianheng said, chatting with Yan Su in a low voice as she watched.

“When they first started dating, Lu Yuanchen was wary of my sister’s previous tests, and their personalities didn’t quite match, so they fought often. Every time they fought, my sister liked to go out and hang out with other people, especially at bars.”

Every time Lu Yuanchen refused to back down, it was as if she and Yan Su were experiencing the past all over again.

Bringing Yan Su along was fun; it gave her a sense of participation. A faint sense of satisfaction filled both their hearts.

“This is fun.” Yan Su clinked her glass against Lin Jianheng’s and suddenly tugged her arm.

Lin Jianheng, who had also been tapped on the face, looked at the image in the crystal with her.

Jian Lingxuan and the bartender were nearly touching, seemingly studying some kind of label together.

“Oh my god,” Lin Jianheng said, her mouth agape.

How long had it been since she’d experienced such a melodrama?

Lu Yuanchen was right. Melodramas were much more entertaining when they happened to other people.

But in the next second, an unexpected person appeared in the frame.

Lu Yuanchen sat down beside Jian Lingxuan.

The little couple gasped in unison, making a slight noise.

Jian Lingxuan, Lu Yuanchen, and the familiar-looking bartender all turned their heads.

Jian Lingxuan’s eyes met Lin Jianheng’s gossiping ones.

She rolled her eyes.

Then she stood up. Today, she was going to exercise her authority as the elder sister

I don’t get it. What happened to the missing memories of MC and FL? What about the FL’s demon king identity…? How’d it suddenly end

  2. Nolto says:

Is this really finished? This ending seems abrupt and there’s a lot of unfinished plots they’ve yet to cover.
