Chapter 79: Spatial Stone
“What are you chatting about?”
Qin Luzhi bent down to change his shoes, pushed away Chen Shuang who had slid over immediately upon seeing him, and walked straight to the sofa.
“Boss, has Chen Shuang’s data been modified?” He Jing sneakily approached Qin Luzhi and asked.
Qin Luzhi didn’t know the basis for their claim, just shook his head in denial. “It’s still the original data.”
Lin An thought to himself, Who in the Qin family does this Chen Shuang take after? Looks-obsessed + double standards? How can it be so two-faced!
Shen Bumian got up to give his seat on the sofa to Qin Luzhi, but Qin Luzhi raised his hand to stop him. He stood directly at the very edge of the sofa where Shen Bumian was and sat on the armrest.
Qin Luzhi was already taller than Shen Bumian, and sitting like this made him seem even taller. From the side, the distance looked very ambiguous, as if Shen Bumian was leaning into Qin Luzhi’s embrace.
Everyone present had this illusion, but no one pointed it out. They even felt that this intimate posture was the correct one. “Weren’t we choosing spatial stones? Let’s go now?” Qin Luzhi poured himself a glass of water, then shut down Chen Shuang into sleep mode.
Chen Shuang was forced into sleep mode before it could say anything. Shen Bumian also watched Qin Luzhi’s action with curiosity, seemingly puzzled as to why he didn’t let Chen Shuang follow.
Qin Luzhi noticed Shen Bumian’s gaze, and at this moment, he didn’t quite know how to explain.
“Cough, um, my susceptible period just ended. Chen Shuang talks too much; it affects me a bit.”
Shen Bumian nodded, appearing to believe Qin Luzhi’s words. Chen Hebin and the others, however, were a bit dazed. If the settings data hadn’t been changed, shouldn’t Chen Shuang be a robot of few words?
Was it really a malfunction? Without thinking too much about it, they followed Qin Luzhi out of the hall, around the fountain, to a laboratory building in the backyard.
The laboratory building was gray and white, similar to the ones at school. Shen Bumian guessed this was also where Gu Yixi’s laboratory was located.
Qin Luzhi didn’t take them upstairs but went down. There was an elevator not far from the entrance, and Qin Luzhi took them directly down to the first basement level.
Although it was underground, Zhou Yizhou didn’t find it shabby at all. In fact, one could say this underground level was beyond the reach of many.
Because the first thing that came into view was many starships and spaceships of various models, some of which were out of print.
Zhou Yizhou: “…”
Does the Qin family have a collecting hobby? How about giving me a few? They can’t possibly fly all of them. Zhou Yizhou would be happy to be of service.
“Mianmian, this is too luxurious. If the first basement level is like this, it’s hard to imagine what the floors above are like!”
Zhou Yizhou and Shen Bumian were at the very back, occasionally looking around and whispering a few words.
“There’s nothing upstairs, basically all my dad’s laboratories.”
Qin Luzhi happened to overhear their conversation and casually answered Zhou Yizhou.
Zhou Yizhou gasped. This building was more than a few stories high. Teacher Gu really loves experiments. The few buildings at school aren’t enough; he has to keep so many laboratories at home too.
Zhou Yizhou thought, If Gu Yixi doesn’t succeed, who will? Truly a model for contemporary omegas!
“We’re here.”
In front of them was a glass display cabinet filled with all kinds of stones and crystals, as well as many diamonds obtained from auctions.
Some were already polished and designed as spatial stones and the like, while others were in their original state.
“Pick one for yourselves.”
Zhou Yizhou was almost speechless, shocked multiple times in one day. “How rich must they be? I seem to have underestimated the Qin family’s strength.”
Mu Yi helped He Jing choose. He himself didn’t like using spatial stones; he preferred using his own ability space for storage. Actually, none of the people present really lacked these things.
But getting one for free was different. Except for Zhou Yizhou and Shen Bumian, who didn’t know much about spatial stones until they entered the military academy.
Zhou Yizhou looked at Qin Luzhi. “Can I pick one too?”
He was a little embarrassed. He hadn’t participated in the legion assessment, but he was really curious.
Chen Hebin put down the hand he was using to choose. “I can give you mine. Zhouzhou, come quickly and choose!”
Zhou Yizhou went over happily. Qin Luzhi was about to say yes, but seeing the sweet appearance of the two, obviously this way was better.
He smiled and didn’t continue speaking. He watched Shen Bumian look around and then walk towards another cabinet, staring blankly at a gem on the top shelf.
Qin Luzhi walked over and took down the one Shen Bumian was looking at. It was a very special one, kept in a separate box.
It was originally a fiery red gem, crafted into the shape of a ginkgo leaf. Qin Luzhi took it out and handed it to Shen Bumian.
“Promised you. Here.”
Shen Bumian had indeed taken a fancy to that one at first glance, but he hesitated to take it. After all, it was placed separately in a cabinet, so it should be somewhat different?
Mu Yi glanced over lightly. With Qin Luzhi’s posture, one might think he was proposing if they didn’t know better.
“That was Boss’s 18th birthday gift, given to him by Teacher Gu. Counted as a coming-of-age gift.” One of them.
Shen Bumian looked at Qin Luzhi, and Qin Luzhi nodded, confirming Mu Yi’s words.
“Then I’d better switch to another one. This one seems to have a different meaning to you.”
Qin Luzhi held him back. “No, the fact that you took a fancy to it gives it a different meaning. are you willing to give it a chance to endow it with a different meaning?”
Qin Luzhi’s eyes were gentle, masking the wildness that usually revealed itself unconsciously. Shen Bumian felt his face heat up under the gaze and inexplicably took the ginkgo leaf spatial stone.
Seeing this, Qin Luzhi immediately taught him how to use the spatial stone. Shen Bumian learned very quickly, remembering it after Qin Luzhi explained it once.
“Boss, we’ve chosen ours too.”
“Mm.”
Shen Bumian was a little curious about the starships parked outside. He remembered that the one Qin Zui flew last time was one of only three in existence.
Qin Luzhi took Shen Bumian to visit them without another word. The remaining people stood with folded arms by a stone pillar.
Lin An: “Tsk, changed. Everything has changed.”
He Jing asked with interest: “What changed? Tell me?”
Chen Hebin knew the answer to this question: “Boss is now a fatuous emperor blinded by lust, and Sister-in-law is the enchanting concubine who brings disaster to the country. Whatever the concubine says, this emperor rushes to do it, completely without principles!”
Lin An agreed: “Completely without a bottom line!”
He Jing: “Disgrace, truly a disgrace. I can’t watch this anymore!”
Chen Hebin: “To tell the truth, I can’t watch it either. Tell me, what should we do?”
Lin An rolled his eyes. “Fighting seems out of the question. How about this? We go eat first, don’t wait for them. When they get hungry and come out to find no one here, they’ll be furious!”
He Jing bowed his head and clapped. “Brilliant. Let’s do that. Let’s go.”
Mu Yi didn’t say anything and followed He Jing into the elevator. The others didn’t hesitate to follow either, only Zhou Yizhou hesitated. “What about Mianmian? Don’t I need to wait for him?”
Chen Hebin glanced sideways at that direction. “Zhouzhou, I’ll take you to eat something good. Sister-in-law has Boss!”
Zhou Yizhou hesitated and chose his boyfriend. “Then, alright.”
