Chapter 57: Entering the Laboratory

Qin Luzhi discovered that Shen Bumian had been avoiding him recently. This discovery made him very unhappy.

Aside from the extra training at night, for which Shen Bumian would still call him, he couldn’t run into Shen Bumian at any other time. For lunch, he would rather be a third wheel for Chen Hebin and the others than eat at the same time as him.

He chose his words with care, “Boss, did you and sister-in-law have a fight?”

Mu Yi also felt like laughing seeing Qin Luzhi like this, but he held it in. If he wanted to continue watching the show, he couldn’t be too obvious.

“Ahem, so, did you go apologize?” Mu Yi tried to change the subject.

Qin Luzhi didn’t expose Shen Bumian’s flimsy lie, just nodded thoughtfully. “Oh? Busy with what?”

Shen Bumian slowly began to explain, half-truthfully, “Do you remember that experiment I told you about? I’ve been helping in Teacher Gu’s lab recently.”

Shen Bumian wasn’t lying. Gu Yixi had noticed his special nature, said he would help keep it a secret, and asked if he could come help when he had time. Gu Yixi’s experiment was stuck at a critical point.

Shen Bumian had carefully read the files and discovered that an omega’s blood and pheromones contained a substance that suppressed spiritual power rampages. What it was had not yet been researched.

Shen Bumian had a faint feeling that this was very likely related to the mysterious organization that turned Alphas into omegas.

Perhaps what that mysterious organization wanted was the results of Teacher Gu’s experiment.
