This was the ‘Treasure Hunt Team’s’ last adventure together. Everyone was sad as they returned to the hotel for the final filming. At three in the afternoon, the production team started taking down the equipment. The four families said goodbye to their assigned cameramen and crew members. Having spent this time together, the guests and the production team had been through a lot and developed deep feelings. The biggest cameraman, Da Mo, could finally put down his camera and hug Su Youli.
“Youyou, don’t forget me, okay?”
Da Mo felt especially lucky to have been assigned to this group and to have earned the little guy’s trust. Actually, at first, none of the photographers wanted to be assigned to Shen Yan and Su Youli’s group. The Shen family, the richest in Beicheng. What kind of status was that? Shen Yan had been in the spotlight since his debut. He was noble, cold, and aloof, hard to approach. Serving one young master was bad enough, but they also had to serve a little young master.
When they first received the guest information, they saw such a soft, pretty little boy. He was clearly spoiled by his family and must be very delicate. Getting these two young masters to cooperate with filming would be difficult. As it turned out, Shen Yan and Su Youli were the most loving and cooperative guests Da Mo had ever worked with. Being with the little guy, Da Mo felt like he’d lost his work fatigue. The little guy was super good, often feeding him tasty snacks, calling him “Uncle Da Mo” in his milky voice, and asking if carrying such a big camera was tiring. Who wouldn’t like a little baby like that? All the staff felt healed being around the little guy.
“Uncle Da Mo, Youyou will never forget you.”
The word “never” was too heavy. Da Mo hugged him again reluctantly. “Uncle will never forget you either. We’ll definitely meet again.”
The other photographers behind him nodded vigorously. They had already decided to send their resumes to Shen Yan’s studio when they got back, or to the Shen Group’s entertainment company if that didn’t work. What would they do without seeing Youyou? After hugging each uncle, auntie, brother, and sister one by one, the little guy really had to say goodbye. Sitting in his brother’s arms, the little guy blinked. When he saw Uncle Da Mo’s eyes redden, he sensed something.
“Big Brother, are we going to be separated from Uncle Da Mo and the others?”
Shen Yan held him and waved goodbye to everyone.
“Yes, filming is over. Uncle Da Mo and the others have other work to do.”
The little guy turned his head reluctantly, pouting.
Shen Yan patted his head: “There’s no banquet in the world that doesn’t end. Just meeting and having beautiful memories in your heart is already very good.”
The little guy nodded, not fully understanding, and watched Uncle Da Mo’s tall figure disappear from view. Back in the room, Tang Dou had already packed almost everything. Shen Yan gave the little guy some water and noticed his low mood. He opened a packet of marshmallows for him. As the little guy ate, he started swinging his legs, his mood brightening.
“Youyou, do you want to go back to China or go to Stenburg?”
Stenburg was the city where Su Siwen and Qin Kun were now. The little guy thought seriously. He really missed Little Dad and Kun Kun. He hadn’t had time to video call them while in the mountains, so he raised his wrist and dialed a video call on his phone watch.
“Dad!”
The two dads were tiny, inside his phone watch.
Su Siwen and Qin Kun were happy to see him. “Baby, are you tired from filming? Do you miss Dad?”
The little guy pressed his nose to the watch screen and answered seriously: “Not tired. Dad, Youyou misses you so much.”
After talking for a while, Su Siwen finally understood why the little guy had called. The Shen family spoiled the little guy and would satisfy almost any request. And the little guy’s greatest wish was to be with his two dads every day. Everyone in the Shen family knew this. When Shen Minyan left, he had specifically told Shen Yan to ask Youyou’s opinion. Going back to China or going to Stenburg, as long as Youyou was happy.
“Baby, Dad will have his last surgery in two months and will be back in China to see you soon, okay?”
The Shen family understood their separation, but they couldn’t take it for granted. Youyou had already blended into the Shen family, with the love of his parents and two brothers. They had nothing to worry about.
On the other end of the phone, the little guy was already pouting, murmuring: “But Youyou misses Dad.”
Hearing this, the two dads felt warm inside. Their baby, whom they had raised, had a new family now, but still missed them most.
“Baby, last night Dad dreamed of Yuanzi,” Qin Kun started to coax the child.
Su Youli sat up abruptly, holding his wrist up to his face, his expression very serious.
“Why didn’t Youyou dream of him?”
The two dads laughed.
Qin Kun coughed and said in a pitiful voice: “Yuanzi said he really misses his little master and wants to play with him.”
The little guy immediately raised his hand: “Youyou also wants to play with Yuanzi!”
“Then will you go back and keep Yuanzi company? Your Shen Dad must miss you too.”
Being with his dads was what Su Youli wanted most, but he understood. Little Dad needed treatment, and Kun Kun had to take care of Little Dad.
“Okay then, see you soon, Dad!”
The little guy didn’t say goodbye to his dads, nor did he say he’d see them in a long time.
“When it’s your birthday, Dad will bring Kun Kun back to celebrate with you, okay?”
The little guy’s eyes lit up: “Okay.”
After saying goodbye to his two dads, the little guy threw himself into his brother’s arms and looked up: “Big Brother, let’s take the plane.”
Shen Yan pinched his nose, speaking sourly: “Youyou, Mom and Second Brother miss you too, and Auntie misses you.”
Though his words were sour, Shen Yan was only grateful to Su Siwen and Qin Kun. In just a few months, no one could replace the two foster fathers in Youyou’s heart. The little guy’s world was small. Before, it was only his two dads, with a little bit for Grandma Yang’s family and Su Yuanzi. Now, the little guy’s world had many, many family members, who also occupied an important part.
“Youyou misses Mom, Second Brother, Auntie, Grandpa Butler, and the aunties too.”
The little guy counted on his fingers seriously. The Mi brothers, Wang Zhi, and Niu Niu didn’t return to China with them. They planned to stay in Country D for a few more days. Before leaving, the ‘Treasure Hunt Team’ hugged each other and made a pinky promise to be each other’s best friends and to play together again when they returned to China.
