Today is Qi Xi’s 10th birthday. However, because he ranked last in the class on yesterday’s exam, he was scolded by his teacher at school. When he got home, his dad scolded him again. Even his mom asked how he could score 9 points.
He was very sad and decided to run away from home.
Last night, he secretly stole a lot of snacks and took them back to his room. In the morning, he stuffed them all into his school bag. Taking advantage of the noon break, he slipped out of school, got on the bus, and headed to his maternal grandfather’s place.
He had never taken the bus from school alone before, but he had asked his grandfather which bus to take and had prepared small change.
However, when he got off at the stop his grandfather had told him to, he found himself on an unfamiliar road with hardly anyone around. He didn’t know what to do for a moment and wandered around the intersection. Suddenly, a big dog ran out and scared him so much that he fell down the steps. His knee, hands, and forehead were all scraped open.
He held it in and didn’t cry. He started thinking about going home, but when he thought about everyone scolding him, he didn’t want to go back.
Beep!
An abrupt car horn interrupted his thoughts. Startled, he almost fell again and saw a black car drive past him.
He continued thinking about what to do when the car that had just passed suddenly reversed and stopped in front of him.
He looked up. The rear door opened, and someone—uncertain whether to call him uncle or brother—walked up and stared at him.
“Where’s your family?”
Fu Yanchuan was not someone who liked to meddle. However, when he saw a child covered in blood by the roadside, he still got out of the car.
The child was clearly holding it in, but as soon as he asked, he suddenly started crying. He had never cared for a child before and didn’t know what to do, so he just stood there and watched the child cry.
“Why aren’t you comforting me at all?”
Qi Xi wiped the blood flowing down his forehead, smearing it with his tears and making his face look frightening. He stared at Fu Yanchuan. Fu Yanchuan stood motionless, looking at him. In an instant, all his grievances surged up, and he cried even harder.
“I’ll take you to the hospital.”
It took Fu Yanchuan a long while before he finally said this. The child’s crying quieted down a bit. Rubbing his eyes, he looked at Fu Yanchuan and asked in a clear, boyish voice, “Are you a bad person?”
No one had ever asked him that before. He asked back, “Do you think I look like a bad person?”
Qi Xi raised his gaze and sized up Fu Yanchuan carefully. After a long while, he shook his head. “You’re so handsome. You definitely aren’t a bad person.”
Fu Yanchuan didn’t respond to this evaluation. He turned back toward the car door but realized the child hadn’t followed. He turned his head to look back.
Qi Xi held back tears and stretched his hand toward Fu Yanchuan. “It hurts. Brother, can you carry me?”
The driver in the car heard this and knew that Fu Yanchuan wouldn’t do something like that. He hurried to help but saw Fu Yanchuan go back and pick up the child, who didn’t even reach his chest, with one hand and put him in the car before he could walk around.
Fu Yanchuan took Qi Xi to a private hospital that he often visited, through it was a bit far. By the time they arrived, the blood had congealed. Fu Yanchuan had the doctor treat Qi Xi’s wounds and also took X-rays to ensure there were no broken bones.
Qi Xi was dazed the whole time. He didn’t understand why he had to undergo so many tests after falling only once. He couldn’t help but secretly ask the doctor examining him, “Am I going to die?”
The doctor was amused. “No, we’re just checking if there are any other injuries.”
Qi Xi finally felt relieved and saw Fu Yanchuan again.
This hospital was the Fu family’s long-term designated hospital. Qi Xi didn’t even need to register for his examination, so Fu Yanchuan still didn’t know his name. Looking at the child with gauze wrapped around his knee and forehead who was limping over, Fu Yanchuan lowered his eyes and asked, “Where is your home?”
The smile that had just been on Qi Xi’s face instantly disappeared. He pouted and said, “I don’t have a home. I’m running away from home.”
Fu Yanchuan frowned slightly but said nothing. He took the child directly to the police station.
But when they reached the entrance, Qi Xi grabbed the car door and refused to get out. Fu Yanchuan’s patience instantly ran out, but the child accused him: “Aren’t you a good person? How can you send me to a place that locks up bad people? I don’t want to go!”
Fu Yanchuan didn’t understand why the police station was a place for bad people. He tried to carry Qi Xi out of the car forcibly, but as soon as he touched him, Qi Xi collapsed onto the seat and didn’t move.
He was startled. Earlier, they had only checked that Qi Xi’s bones were intact. He suspected that his head might be injured. He quickly lowered his head to check, ready to tell the driver to return to the hospital. But then he saw the child’s eyes move while closed, open a slit, and close again when he saw him.
“Hey!”
He couldn’t help but poke Qi Xi’s soft cheek. “Why are you running away from home?”
Hearing this, Qi Xi immediately sensed an opportunity. He suddenly sat up and replied, “Because my dad doesn’t like me and says I’m a useless idiot!”
Fu Yanchuan’s gaze shifted slightly. Looking at the child in front of him, he suddenly felt a sense of connection.
Qi Xi complained, “It’s not like I wanted to be this dumb. If I could decide, I’d want to be the smartest person too!”
As he said this, he sized up Fu Yanchuan. “Brother, are you smart?”
It was the first time anyone had asked Fu Yanchuan this question. He didn’t answer, so the child made his own judgment. “You’re so handsome; you must be smart, too! So don’t lock me up with the police uncles!”
Seeing that he didn’t understand, Qi Xi explained, “I’m a bad kid who ran away from home. If you send me there, they’ll lock me up!”
Fu Yanchuan couldn’t help but laugh softly. “If you can remember your family’s phone number, I won’t send you.”
Qi Xi thought for a moment and agreed. “I don’t remember, but I saved my mom’s phone number.”
As he spoke, he raised his arm and suddenly remembered that, to keep his mom from calling him, he had deliberately left his smartwatch at home that morning. He stared at Fu Yanchuan in shock. “What should I do? I forgot to bring my smartwatch!”
“Your home address will also do.”
Qi Xi immediately clamped his mouth shut and refused to say it. Fu Yanchuan understood that he didn’t want to go home. Suddenly, he sat back and told the driver to drive.
The driver, a father himself, couldn’t help but suggest, “Wouldn’t it be better to send him to the police station?”
Before Fu Yanchuan could respond, Qi Xi lunged forward and hugged him. “Brother, please don’t hand me over to the police. Whatever you want, I’ll agree to it!”
Fu Yanchuan peeled the child off him and told the driver, “Drive.”
The driver was just an employee and didn’t say anything else.
Qi Xi followed Fu Yanchuan home. It was the first time he had seen a courtyard or a house this big. After getting out of the car, he looked around in awe.
Uncle Quan saw Fu Yanchuan bring back a child and hurried over to ask, “This child is…?”
Fu Yanchuan answered bluntly, “Ran away from home.”
“You don’t know him?”
Fu Yanchuan didn’t answer. Uncle Quan understood and said, “How can you bring an unfamiliar child home? What if his family comes looking for him?”
“He doesn’t want to go home.”
Qi Xi immediately stuck his head out from behind Fu Yanchuan and agreed, “Right. I’m running away from home. I’m not going home.”
As an adult, Uncle Quan couldn’t let Fu Yanchuan mess around. He asked Qi Xi patiently, “What’s your name? What are your parents’ names?”
“My name is Qi Xi. My mom’s name is Wen Shuyu and my dad’s name is Qi Feng.”
“All right, I understand.”
Uncle Quan took a photo of Qi Xi and then left. Qi Xi didn’t know what he was doing, but when he heard the names, he suddenly remembered something. He asked Fu Yanchuan, “Brother, what’s your name?”
Fu Yanchuan didn’t answer and turned to go inside. Thinking he hadn’t heard him, Qi Xi hurried to follow and asked again, “Brother, what’s your name?”
“I—”
Fu Yanchuan opened his mouth, only then realizing why he had brought this child here. He lowered his gaze. Qi Xi was still looking at him with anticipation in his eyes. In the end, he answered, “Fu Yanchuan.”
“Fu Yanchuan.”
Qi Xi silently repeated the name once. “How do you write it? Which characters?”
Losing his patience, Fu Yanchuan pointed at the nearby living room. “Go over there and play by yourself. Play until you want to go home, then go back.”
After saying that, he turned around. The child behind him suddenly chased after him, hugged his waist, and acted pitifully. “Brother, your house is so big! I’m scared being by myself!”
There were many children around Qi Xi’s age in the Fu family, but none of them were as clingy or fond of acting cute as he was. Fu Yanchuan was about to pry the child off of him when he suddenly saw Lin Xianjing coming downstairs.
“Yan Yan, who is this?”
Fu Yanchuan suppressed the flicker of unease on his face and replied, “A kid who ran away from home.”
Qi Xi looked toward the stairs when he heard the voice. He opened his mouth wide in exaggerated praise, saying, “Auntie, you’re so pretty!”
Lin Xianjing walked down the stairs and sized up Qi Xi subconsciously. The next moment, Qi Xi let go of Fu Yanchuan, walked in front of Lin Xianjing, bowed slightly, and said obediently, “Hello, Auntie. My name is Qi Xi. You’re just as pretty as my mom. Would you like some candy?”
Fu Yanchuan looked at Qi Xi in surprise as he rummaged through the schoolbag he had carried the whole time. He took out a milk candy and handed it to Lin Xianjing.
Lin Xianjing unconsciously froze. She couldn’t help but think of Fu Yanchuan when he was little. She had hoped he would be like Qi Xi—not needing to be so outstanding, not needing to work so hard, just innocent and happy.
She finally reached out and took the candy. “Thank you.”
“No need to thank me.”
Seeing Qi Xi smile made Lin Xianjing like this child even more. She asked him, “Why don’t you go home?”
Qi Xi thought for a moment before answering. “Because I ran away from home. I had planned to go to my grandpa’s house, but the bus never came. I fell on the way, too. Brother saw me and took me to the hospital. He’s a good person.”
Fu Yanchuan felt a little displeased for some reason. Qi Xi hadn’t told him anything all this time, yet now he was telling his mom everything at once.
Lin Xianjing said, “Did you tell your mom? She’ll worry if you’re like this.”
Qi Xi suddenly pouted and said, “My mom said I’m dumb, too. I only got nine points on my math test, but I didn’t do it on purpose.”
Lin Xianjing suddenly understood Qi Xi’s mom. Although Fu Yanchuan never needed her to worry about his studies, she had done very poorly in school when she was young, and her parents had scolded her the same way.
She said seriously to Qi Xi, “This world doesn’t only have smart people. People like us who are considered ‘dumb’ don’t need the approval of smart people either. As long as we’ve worked hard, that’s enough.”
“Really? Auntie is so pretty, and you’re dumb too?”
“Yes, I often came in last place on exams, too.”
Qi Xi suddenly comforted her instead. “It’s okay. It’s not like we wanted to come in last.”
Lin Xianjing smiled, which was rare for her. “Xixi, can I call you that? Auntie likes you so much. Can you come play here often in the future?”
“Sure!”
Fu Yanchuan was shocked. He couldn’t remember the last time Lin Xianjing had smiled. Since he was 12, it seemed that Lin Xianjing had never talked this much with a stranger.
Uncle Quan went to the police station to file a report. That afternoon, when the school realized that Qi Xi was missing, they immediately contacted his parents and began searching everywhere. Once the two sides had matched the information, they hurried to the Fu residence.
When Wen Shuyu saw Qi Xi, a weight lifted from her heart. Realizing he had done something wrong, Qi Xi hid fearfully behind Lin Xianjing until Wen Shuyu walked up to him. She knelt down and hugged him tightly.
“I’m sorry, Xixi. Mom was wrong. I shouldn’t have scolded you.”
Qi Xi instantly burst into tears and said sorrowfully, “I’m sorry, too. I didn’t mean to get last place, and I didn’t mean to disappear. I wanted to find Grandpa, but the bus didn’t go to Grandpa’s house. I got lost.”
Only then did Wen Shuyu notice the injuries on Qi Xi’s body. She said painfully, “Mom knows. It’s not your fault. It’s all my fault.”
After the mother and son reconciled and the police finished educating Qi Xi and left, Wen Shuyu went to thank Lin Xianjing.
Lin Xianjing said, “Not me. It was my son who met him on the road.”
Wen Shuyu turned around and saw the boy, who was almost a head taller than her. She felt inexplicably nervous and said, “Thank you.”
Fu Yanchuan stood there expressionlessly. Wen Shuyu felt a little awkward. Seeing this, Qi Xi rushed over and hugged him. “Brother, thank you. I’m leaving now. Don’t you feel reluctant to part with me at all?”
“Mm.”
Fu Yanchuan replied nonchalantly, then finally placed his palm on Qi Xi’s head. To his surprise, he found that Qi Xi’s hair was soft and smooth to the touch.
He said, “Goodbye.”
“I haven’t left yet! How can you already say goodbye?”
This made all the adults in the room laugh. But Qi Xi still left, reluctantly waving to Lin Xianjing for a long time. On the way back, he wouldn’t stop talking about how great Auntie was, to the point that Wen Shuyu felt jealous.
After returning home, Qi Xi went back to his usual routine of going to school, coming home, rarely seeing Qi Feng, and getting scolded. Just when he was about to forget about Fu Yanchuan, he found a slip of paper at the bottom of his school bag. On it were written Fu Yanchuan’s name and phone number.
Without thinking, he called it with his smartwatch. After a long while, he heard a “Mm.”
“Is this Brother Fu Yanchuan?”
Fu Yanchuan had given Qi Xi his phone number mainly because of Lin Xianjing, but Qi Xi had never called him. He thought Qi Xi had forgotten about him once he went back. He didn’t expect Qi Xi to call after so long.
He replied, “It’s me.”
“Haha, really! That’s great. How are you? How’s Auntie? I’m telling you, I finally didn’t get last place on my exam this time. I improved by one rank!”
That would still be second to last.
But Fu Yanchuan didn’t say that. Instead, he asked Qi Xi, “Do you want to come to my house to play this weekend?”
“Sure!”
Qi Xi agreed without thinking. When the weekend came, Fu Yanchuan went to pick him up.
Wen Shuyu had visited the Fu residence and had already guessed who Fu Yanchuan was. She didn’t want Qi Xi to have contact with that kind of family. However, considering what had happened before and the fact that Fu Yanchuan had come personally, she couldn’t refuse. Fearing that Qi Xi would misbehave and cause trouble, she accompanied him to the Fu residence.
She had planned to draw a clear line with the Fu family after this visit. However, once she arrived, she sat down and chatted with Lin Xianjing. The more they talked, the better they hit it off, pushing Qi Xi, who had originally wanted to play with his aunt, away to bother Fu Yanchuan.
Just like that, Qi Xi and Wen Shuyu became regular visitors at the Fu residence. They both made new friends, though Qi Xi’s friendship was one-sided. He was very good at bothering Fu Yanchuan. Most of the time, Fu Yanchuan ignored him, but Qi Xi could keep the conversation going without any awkwardness.
On his third visit, Qi Xi also met an older brother named Qin Hui. When Qi Xi accidentally fell, Qin Hui held him, applied medicine to his wounds, washed his dirty clothes, and handed him a piece of candy.
Unable to resist, Qi Xi told Fu Yanchuan, “Brother Qin Hui is really nice. He even gives me candy. When I fall, he holds me with both hands.”
Fu Yanchuan ignored him, but when Qi Xi left that day, Fu Yanchuan gave him a big jar of the same kind of candy that Qin Hui had given him. Then, he told Qi Xi, “The candy he gave you was also taken from me.”
Qi Xi didn’t understand, but he was happy to receive the candy. He blurted out, “Brother Yanchuan is the best! I like you the most!”
After Qi Xi went there more often, he finally met Fu Zhenrong. He thought Fu Zhenrong was scary. As soon as he came home, no one dared to speak loudly. After he left, Qi Xi quietly went to Fu Yanchuan and said, “He’s so fierce! Can’t you just not live with him?”
This question made Fu Yanchuan freeze for a long time. A few days later, Wen Shuyu came into his room when he was about to sleep and seriously asked, “Xixi, if Mom and Dad separate, will you be sad?”
Qi Xi thought about it and asked back, “Are you going to divorce Dad?”
Wen Shuyu was startled for a moment, then nodded. “Mom has talked with Auntie Lin for a long time. In the end, we decided that we should live our own lives. Will you be angry at Mom? If Mom and Dad get divorced, you’ll only be able to live with one of us.”
Qi Xi immediately rushed over and hugged Wen Shuyu. “I want to stay with Mom. Dad doesn’t come home every day anyway. It’s the same whether he’s around or not.”
For a moment, Wen Shuyu couldn’t tell if she felt relieved or sad. She hugged Qi Xi tightly and started to cry. Qi Xi comforted her instead. “Mom, don’t be afraid. When I grow up, I’ll treat you well. I definitely won’t be like Dad and not come home.”
“Mm. Thank you, Xixi.”
The next year, Wen Shuyu and Qi Feng got divorced, and she took Qi Xi back to her parents’ house. Lin Xianjing also divorced Fu Zhenrong, but it was not so easy. Fu Zhenrong felt that divorce would damage his image and refused no matter what. In the end, Fu Yanchuan threatened Fu Zhenrong with his life before the divorce went through.
Originally, Fu Yanchuan had planned to study abroad as an exchange student the previous year, but he gave up on that plan. A year later, he took the exams again for a different school and was accepted to study abroad for two years.
When Qi Xi heard the news, he was reluctant to say goodbye. After divorcing Fu Zhenrong, Lin Xianjing became much more cheerful. She even opened a dance training school and invited Wen Shuyu to help out. Naturally, Qi Xi and Fu Yanchuan grew closer.
On the day Fu Yanchuan left, Qi Xi cried all night, fell asleep, and missed him leave. When he woke up, Fu Yanchuan had already left. He cried for another whole day.
After Fu Yanchuan arrived, he called Qi Xi on video. Qi Xi was still crying in front of the camera. “Why didn’t you wait for me to see you off? You didn’t feel reluctant at all. You’re so bad.”
Fu Yanchuan really wanted to say, “You overslept,” but seeing the child cry so miserably, he comforted him patiently for once. “I’m bad. I’ll come back to see you when I have a holiday.”
“Then fine, I forgive you. But you have to keep your word and come back on the weekends to see me.”
“Okay.”
Fu Yanchuan agreed, but Fu Zhenrong was angry about the divorce and prevented him from returning to the country. It took him a full two years to finally come back.
On the day he returned, Qi Xi came to pick him up. After two years of not seeing each other, the child from back then had grown into a young man and had grown much taller.
“Fu Yanchuan!”
Qi Xi recognized him at a glance and shouted without restraint. Fu Yanchuan slapped him on the head and rubbed it. “Call me Brother.”
“Brother!”
Qi Xi didn’t feel like they had been apart for a long time at all. He hugged Fu Yanchuan’s waist and leaned over. “How did you get so handsome? I’m so jealous! I want to be as handsome as you, too!”
“Wait until you grow up!”
Fu Yanchuan pushed Qi Xi away. Fu Zhenrong had sent a car to pick him up, but Fu Yanchuan dismissed it. Following Qi Xi, he saw Lin Xianjing and Wen Shuyu.
“Yanyan has grown so tall!”
Wen Shuyu was surprised when she saw Fu Yanchuan. The first time she saw him, she thought he was already very tall. She didn’t expect him to grow even taller.
Fu Yanchuan was no longer silent and asked Wen Shuyu, “Auntie Wen, has your health improved?”
Wen Shuyu had fallen ill last year, but her illness was discovered early, and she recovered well thanks to her positive mindset. She replied, “Thanks to your mom. I’m very well now.”
Lin Xianjing said, “Let’s go home first. Auntie Wen prepared a whole table of dishes for you.”
Before going abroad, Fu Yanchuan had never been to Lin Xianjing’s current residence because Fu Zhenrong didn’t allow him to look for Lin Xianjing.
But when he arrived at Lin Xianjing’s place, he found it much smaller. Yet it made him truly feel what home was like, especially when he saw the room Lin Xianjing had prepared for him.
“This room is so big!”
Qi Xi followed behind Fu Yanchuan. He had clearly been there before, but pretended it was his first time. “Brother, can I live with you?”
Fu Yanchuan ignored him and only rubbed his hair.
After that, Fu Yanchuan entered the Rongchuan Group. He didn’t move in with Lin Xianjing; he only stayed occasionally for a day. He also no longer lived at the Fu residence. Using his proximity to work as an excuse, he moved to a place near the group.
Qi Xi and Wen Shuyu picked up an orange cat by the roadside. Qi Xi named the cat Qi Tian Dasheng. Then, after getting last place on an exam again, he ran away from home. This time, he brought Dasheng and cat food with him and ran to Fu Yanchuan’s new home.
As soon as he arrived, he climbed onto Fu Yanchuan’s back, hung there, and said, “Brother, if you don’t take me in, I’ll have to sleep on the street. With such a cute younger brother like me, can you really bear it?”
Fu Yanchuan pried him off and called Wen Shuyu. In the end, he took on the task of tutoring Qi Xi.
Qi Xi pressed himself against Fu Yanchuan’s phone to eavesdrop. When he heard the word “tutoring,” he immediately felt that Fu Yanchuan was no longer close to him. He carried his schoolbag, held Dasheng, and tried to run away, but Fu Yanchuan caught him and dragged him back.
Qi Xi thought that running away to Fu Yanchuan’s place would be heaven, but it turned out to be hell. Being tutored by Fu Yanchuan was far scarier than being tutored by his mom. In fact, it was so scary that he didn’t even think Fu Yanchuan was handsome anymore.
Fu Yanchuan thought Qi Xi wasn’t that dumb. His grades were poor mainly because he was too good at acting cute. As long as it was something he didn’t want to do, he could spend half the day acting cute to avoid it.
For example, when Fu Yanchuan asked him to answer two more questions, Qi Xi would rather massage his legs, cut fruit, perform a dance like a gymnastics routine, and cling to him, calling him “brother,” for a long time than move his pen once.
However, Fu Yanchuan didn’t have as low a tolerance as Qi Xi’s mom and grandpa did. After enjoying Qi Xi’s antics, he still made him do the questions, which made the child so angry that he ignored him for half an hour.
Qi Xi secretly called Xie Hui to discuss whether he could run away to Xie Hui’s house, but Xie Hui refused.
“Who is Xie Hui?”
Fu Yanchuan suddenly asked while leaning against the door. Qi Xi realized then that his little plan had been overheard. He denied it. “I wasn’t going to run away from home!”
“Mm. Who is Xie Hui?”
“He’s my deskmate. He’s really good to me. He even lets me copy his homework—”
Qi Xi immediately realized he had slipped up. Fu Yanchuan came over and grabbed him. Fu Yanchuan’s aura was so frightening that Qi Xi thought he was about to get hit. Instead, Fu Yanchuan messed up his hair and told him to do his questions again.
Qi Xi lived at Fu Yanchuan’s place for half a month. One day after school, he ran into Qin Hui, who had come to look for Fu Yanchuan. The two of them stood at the door without going in. As Qi Xi was about to rush out of the elevator to greet Qin Hui, he heard him say to Fu Yanchuan,
“I love you, Fu Yanchuan.”
Fu Yanchuan froze in place. Although his expression didn’t change, his eyes were full of shock. For the first time, he didn’t know what to say.
Instead, Qin Hui suddenly smiled at him, as if relieved. “So you already knew, and this is your reaction?”
Fu Yanchuan stared at Qin Hui, not understanding what he meant. Qin Hui stared back at him for a long while, then continued, “I’ve already resigned. I came today to say goodbye to you. I’m planning to leave Huo City.”
“Why?”
“I used to be afraid that you would find out about my feelings for you. I was afraid that once you knew, we wouldn’t even be able to be friends. But you’ve changed a lot these past few years, and you’re completely different from before. I also don’t want to stay in the same place anymore. I want to try a new life.”
Fu Yanchuan wasn’t sure what had happened, but it was probably related to Qin Hui’s sudden confession. He didn’t try to convince him to stay, only saying, “If there’s anything you need my help with, come find me.”
“Thank you. Goodbye.”
Qi Xi ran into Qin Hui in the elevator on his way over. Qin Hui said to him, “Goodbye, Qi Xi.”
“Goodbye, Brother Qin Hui.”
After the elevator left, he went inside. Fu Yanchuan sized him up once but didn’t say anything. However, he was so curious that he couldn’t help asking, “He said he likes you?”
Fu Yanchuan didn’t answer. Not understanding, he asked again, “But you’re both men. Is that okay? Can men like men, too?”
“Kids shouldn’t think about these things.”
However, this question continued to trouble Qi Xi. He and Xie Hui researched the topic for a long time before finally learning the term “homosexuality,” yet he still didn’t understand how men could like men until he turned 18.
After taking the college entrance exam, Xie Hui decided to study abroad. He took the art entrance exam and was accepted into a local art academy. On his second day of school, a man confessed his love to him, claiming it was love at first sight. He was scared and ran away.
The first thing he did was run to Fu Yanchuan and tell him, “Today, a man confessed his love to me. What should I do?”
Fu Yanchuan stared at Qi Xi, who had completely shed his former childish appearance. He suddenly realized that Qi Xi had grown up. He unconsciously frowned and asked, “Do you like him?”
Qi Xi hurriedly shook his head. Then, he asked, “Do you think men are okay, too?”
“Okay for what?”
“Dating him.”
Qi Xi immediately retorted, “I don’t want to date at all!”
Fu Yanchuan smiled slightly and asked again, “Then do you think homosexuality is strange?”
“Not strange! There are lots of them in comics.”
“What comics?”
Qi Xi realized he had let his secret slip again and hurriedly denied it. “No, I definitely haven’t read any inappropriate comics. They’re all censored.”
Fu Yanchuan pulled him over and naturally pulled him into his arms. “Is that so? Let me take a look, too.”
“No, that’s not suitable for adults to see!”
“What can you see that I can’t?”
“You’re so annoying! Let go of me!”
“No.”
