GSCCO Chapter 10

[Teach Yu-ge how to date!]

Number 2: “Huh? Teach Yu-ge how to date?”

Number 3 burst out laughing: “Damn, number 2 hasn’t even graduated middle school yet? You want him to teach Yu-ge how to date? Are you guys crazy?”

Number 2 was annoyed: “Number 3, what do you mean? Do you look down on middle schoolers or something?”

Number 3: “What’s wrong, didi? You’re dating early?”

Number 4: “Hey, stop arguing…”

Mu Huai hid in some bushes, glancing at the live stream. The chat was flooded with hearts.

[I really want to know what it’s like for Yu-ge to date!]

[Want to know if a late-night streamer and a homework slave can have a sweet romance?]

[But Yu-ge still hasn’t mentioned his Valentine’s Day sweetheart!]

Valentine’s Day had been over for a while, but fans still couldn’t forget Yu Yi’s leave of absence. Mu Huai glanced through the screen, only snapping back to reality when Yu Yi called out “Number 5” in his earpiece. But it was too late. The opposing team, fueled by years of suppression, showed no mercy in catching the fox hiding in the bushes.

Number 5 was dead, respawn time: one minute.

Number 2: “Holy crap!”

Number 3: “Damn! When did you get here?!”

Yu Yi frowned slightly. Mu Huai then noticed Yu Yi’s character was already crouching nearby. If Mu Huai hadn’t been distracted, he could have easily taken down this group of opponents. However, without Mu Huai, Yu Yi couldn’t handle multiple opponents at once, and the other three were running towards them.

Mu Huai paused, then said smoothly, “Sorry.”

Having heard Yu Yi apologize so many times that day, he finally had a chance to return the favor. Mu Huai was confident in his voice-changing ability. To avoid giving himself away, he didn’t use a soft, affected voice. His female voice was more androgynous, slightly deep, like the husky voice many people liked.

The map suddenly switched to a rainy night, and the screen darkened considerably. Through the reflection on the screen, Mu Huai saw his own face, devoid of any remorse.

[Hao-jie has such a good temper!]

[If I had that kind of money, I’d take care of Yu-ge!]

Yu Yi: “It’s okay.”

Mu Huai, resting his chin on his hand, felt that Yu Yi’s voice was strangely gentle… Maybe it was just his imagination.

The streamer was as grumpy as ever. As soon as his teammates arrived, Yu Yi rushed out and started mowing down the opposing team, generously giving away kills to his fans.

The sound of the accelerator pedal echoed in the live stream room, becoming especially noticeable when the gunfire subsided.

“Why didn’t you answer my call?” A sudden male voice forcefully entered the frame. “Are you streaming?”

Mu Huai, who had just respawned and was running towards his teammates to grab the last victory screenshot: “…”

The other three fans were too excited to notice.

[!!!!!!!!! Someone’s in Yu-ge’s room!]

[The first person to appear in Yu-ge’s room!]

[I’ve always been curious about the world beyond the background!]

The victory was already secured, and Yu Yi didn’t care whether he was present during the final tower assault. He still held the mouse in one hand, and took off his headphones with the other, his smooth hair unaffected. Yu Yi turned his head and gripped the microphone in his hand.

“When did you come in?”

“I was streaming, don’t come any closer.”

The microphone was of good quality; even though Yu Yi gripped it, it only slightly weakened the sound, and he could still hear what Yu Yi was saying clearly.

Mu Huai happened to run over here, fired a shot at the spot where Yu Yi was standing, and then chuckled casually.

Yu Yi hadn’t texted him yet. Maybe he really had blacked out that day, or maybe he just remembered and deliberately avoided him. Whether Mu Huai was savoring the experience or speechless with resentment, after Yu Ying’s voice appeared, only a tiny bit of regret and a tiny bit of guilt remained.

When Mu Huai was in the same group as Yu Ying, they often recorded group songs. Mu Huai was very familiar with Yu Ying’s voice, tone, and speaking habits; he recognized him almost immediately upon hearing his voice. At that moment, Mu Huai felt a tiny bit awkward, like someone who had been paired with a sister-in-law. Because they didn’t have a real relationship, the awkwardness was only a little.

What kind of close friends could get a key to each other’s house? If Yu Yi were determined to pursue Yu Ying, with that face and that physique, could he turn the straight leader gay?

“Unparalleled Master Huai, want to play again?” Yu Yi asked.

Yu Yi dismissed Yu Ying, then tucked his earphones back into his hair.

Mu Huai then noticed that the other three fans had left the room.

Mu Huai cleared his throat and asked, “Are they done playing?”

“I don’t know.” Yu Yi didn’t seem embarrassed at all. He was watching the live stream, a slight smile playing on his lips, and casually said, “You’re the big spender, I can continue to play with you.”

Mu Huai decided to retract his sarcastic remark about Yu Yi’s “straight man” attitude. A playful glint appeared in his eyes as he asked, “Can this sugar daddy ask Yu-ge to give himself to me?”

[Report! Someone’s flirting with Yu-ge here!]

[Ahhhhhh! Such enviable assets!]

The streamer here is known for his cold demeanor and fiery temper, and Mu Huai is the first person to dare flirt with him. Everyone tensed up, taking deep breaths, yet inexplicably, they were also aroused.

Yu Yi glanced at the camera and said calmly, “Offering my body isn’t worth that much.”

“Then, what price would it cost to offer your body?” Mu Huai pressed on.

The chat was practically in a frenzy. How did a perfectly good channel suddenly turn into this? The screams of his female fans seemed to penetrate the screen.

Yu Yi frowned, as if genuinely considering something, and after a moment said, “You can’t afford it right now.”

Then I might be able to afford it later? The phrase in that sentence was rich in meaning, even making Mu Huai suspect that Yu Yi might be bisexual. Mu Huai didn’t dwell on this. Thinking of his former leader, he pressed his tongue against his cheek and smiled enigmatically: “Just kidding, I’m a little tired and don’t want to play anymore. How about you give us some more gossip, Yu-ge, as a favor to our livestream fans?”

Yu Yi didn’t immediately agree, but Mu Huai knew how to seize the opportunity.

Mu Huai: “Did that someone manage to get with you on Valentine’s Day?”

How clever! He didn’t ask Yu Yi if he had someone he liked. He directly asked if he had succeeded.

Hearing Mu Huai say he wasn’t playing anymore, Yu Yi released the mouse, his fingers resting near that mole, unconsciously rubbing against it. Yu Yi’s eyes were quite large, and naturally, when looking at the camera, his brows remained furrowed, as if a dark aura was gathering behind him, making him look a bit fierce, always giving the impression that he was about to curse someone.

But this kid is also very handsome. Mu Huai thought to himself.

[Today’s live stream was absolutely amazing!]

[Was it the offer that gave Hao-jie the courage?]

[I’m really afraid that Yu-ge will get so angry that he’ll send Hao-jie to someone else’s live stream!]

“No.” Yu Yi, holding the camera, slowly covered the screen, his cold face forcibly disappearing. Before the fans could react, the streamer’s window also disappeared, and Yu Yi simply turned off the camera. The remaining voice was so cold it could blow snow: “Didn’t catch her.”

A cold wind swept through the live stream room, and everyone trembled. They could still hear a hint of grievance in that indifferent voice, but no one dared to speak up.

The boldest person almost couldn’t hold back their voice, pulled off their headphones, turned away, and coughed. They laughed to themselves where no one could see them, then came back to compose themselves and continued to dig traps for the streamer.

“Oh, I see…” The female voice trailed off with a regretful, drawn-out tone. Her voice, already somewhat aloof and arrogant, sounded strangely irritating when she said this. If it weren’t for the fact that she was a “woman,” the chat would have been buzzing with jeers.

Mu Huai unwrapped the lollipop and said with a smile, “Then, Yu-ge, how about I teach you how to woo her?”

Yu Yi’s account followed back Unparalleled Master Huai, and from then on, fans would repeat this before every livestream.

[Did Hao-jie come today?]

[So, did Yu-ge succeed in winning her over?]

Unfortunately, Hao-jie seemed very busy with work, appearing in the livestream very rarely and unpredictably. Fans speculated that this “Hao-jie” might be a top-tier “strong woman,” a domineering female CEO or something, and they happily wrote elaborate fantasies about her every day.

The private chat history in the background had already filled two or three pages, mostly messages from Mu Huai. Yu Yi’s replies were usually six dots or eye-rolling emojis, with the only actual text being, “Don’t waste money on gifts.” Most of Mu Huai’s messages were also rambling, with only one possibly related to his intended message: “You have to give gifts to anyone you’re pursuing. Real flowers are too cliché. How about lollipops? Haven’t the florists been putting out lots of lollipop-bundled flowers lately?”

Yu Ying disliked sweets and didn’t like people putting on fancy displays. Mu Huai’s message was also rambling, with no intention of waiting for Yu Yi to accept it.

The ADS reality show was rushed, with planning and venue setup taking small time preparation. Mu Huai arrived early, and the area outside was packed with people, contestants and reporters moving about.

The log showed that Yu Yi replied yesterday, with just:

Yu Yi: What does it taste like?

Mu Huai remained silent for a while, finding Yu Yi’s occasional blankness endearing. He couldn’t even pick up on such an obvious teasing. Having already sent the message, Mu Huai shrugged and simply chose what he preferred.

Unparalleled Master Huai: Banana milk.

Yu Ying definitely wouldn’t eat lollipops. He might just send them directly to his former teammates, like Mu Huai himself. So, it’s better to choose a flavor he likes.

“What’s all the commotion outside?” Mu Huai grabbed Mu Xi, who was about to slip past. “Who’s here? Zi Fei?”

The guest lineup occupied three spots: two popular celebrities, one movie star, and two athletes—one a swimmer, and the other a retired esports player.

One of the popular celebrities was Mu Huai, and the other was his former group mate, Lin Zi Fei, the youngest member of Demons. Mu Huai had seen many support signs for Lin Zi Fei when he came in, so he immediately thought of him.

“Huh? No,” Mu Xi thought for a moment and said. “Many of the participants are streamers and internet celebrities, they’re just having fun outside… If Brother Zi Fei comes, the commotion will be two or three times bigger, about the same as when you came in. Uncle, don’t mention him if he’s not here, okay?”

Mu Huai remained noncommittal.

Lin Zi Fei, whom Mu Xi had high hopes for, did indeed cause a huge commotion when he entered the venue. He was the last one there, arriving late, and immediately ran to his former group mates, grinning foolishly.

The contestants began to enter, starting with a rules session. Mu Huai’s attention wandered, his gaze drifting away from the stage to find Yu Yi. There were at least a hundred people present; he’d initially thought it would be difficult to find him, but in reality, Mu Huai’s search took less than half a minute.

The grumpy Yu-ge possessed a cold, powerful aura, his presence deadly. A safe zone automatically formed around him, and no one dared to approach. His cold eyes were fixed on the stage.

Lin Zi Fei followed Mu Huai’s gaze and pondered, “I don’t think he’s here to compete. He might really be here to kill.”

“…” Master Huai agreed.
