MHWFYYTMDF Chapter6

Boyfriend

Song Li poked his head out from the kitchen while holding an egg in one hand. Seeing He Muyan, who had just returned from outside, he smiled, “You’re back.”

He Muyan had clearly never been greeted so naturally upon entering the door before. His expression froze for a brief moment, and only then did he nod stiffly, “En.”

He had obviously gone for a morning workout. He was dressed in a black athletic tracksuit, his forehead hair slightly damp with sweat, while a healthy post-workout flushed his face. The muscles on his exposed forearms were lean and well-defined, his waist was lean, and his V-shaped physique was exceptionally well-built.

Song Li swallowed his saliva, “You have a habit of working out in the morning?”

He Muyan gave an “en,” raising his wristband to wipe the sweat from his forehead as he walked over, “What are you making?”

Song Li gestured with the eggs in his hands, narrowing his eyes into a smile, “Making breakfast. Your kitchen is so clean. Luckily, there was still some edible stuff in the fridge. I’m planning to make a ham sandwich. Do you want one?”

As he spoke, seemingly worried the other man might turn him down, he quickly added, “I’m actually a pretty good cook.”

He Muyan looked at him holding an egg in each hand before tilting his head up to gaze back expectantly.

Song Li had a pair of deer-like eyes. His dark irises were distinct against the whites of his eyes, appearing moist and bright. The outer corners of his eyes drooped slightly, always giving off an innocent and harmless vibe whenever he looked at someone, and when he smiled, they would curve into crescent moons; very cute.

He Muyan’s throat bobbed, “Alright.”

Song Li happily retreated back into the kitchen, humming a little tune as he busied himself.

He Muyan watched his busy silhouette, unknowingly staring for several minutes.

He went to take a shower. By the time he changed his clothes and returned to the living room, Song Li had already prepared breakfast, even plating it exquisitely. Looking at He Muyan who sat down across from him, Song Li smiled shyly, “I hope it suits your taste.”

He Muyan used a knife to cut off a corner, picked it up with a fork, and took a bite. Only after swallowing it methodically did he finally open his mouth to say, “The taste is good.”

It was a compliment that could hardly be considered high praise, yet Song Li was as happy as if he had been fed a piece of candy. Tilting his head, he said with a smile, “You know, I had a dream a long time ago. I hoped that under the morning sun every day, I could share breakfast face-to-face with my partner; even if it’s just a simple sandwich and a glass of warm milk.”

After saying it, he felt a bit embarrassed. Sneaking a glance at the man across from him, he rubbed his chin with a finger and said, “I think I might be talking too much.”

He Muyan continued eating without saying a word, not even his half-lowered eyelashes moving as if he hadn’t heard a single bit of that nonsense just now.

Song Li felt incredibly awkward. Sighing in his heart, he lowered his head and began to eat as well.

The two finished eating in silence. He Muyan lightly dabbed his mouth with a napkin after setting his knife and fork down, then suddenly spoke in a soft voice, “I will try my best to set aside time to have breakfast with you from now on.”

The hand Song Li was using to hold his fork paused, and he abruptly lifted his head to look at him.

He Muyan’s expression was still impassive, yet his eyes held a trace of an indescribable, subtle tenderness.

It was tenderness, right? This was the first time he had ever seen an emotion other than indifference in He Muyan’s eyes, so he felt it absolutely had to be tenderness.

Feeling delighted in his heart, Song Li happily began clearing the plates.

A hand pressed down on his wrist. Song Li stopped, looking up at him with a puzzled gaze.

He Muyan slipped the plate out from under his hand, “I’ll wash them.”

With that, he picked them up and walked toward the kitchen.

Song Li’s eyes widened, and he followed behind him, “Do-do you even know how to wash them?”

It was no wonder he was so surprised; He Muyan truly did not look like someone who did this kind of housework. Housework aside, given his temperament, he didn’t even match the domestic atmosphere of a kitchen at all.

He Muyan had already placed the knife, fork, and plates into the sink. His gaze swept over the area before he reached for the rubber gloves hanging from a hook and said evenly, “I’ll figure it out once I wash them.”

Song Li broke out into a sweat; so that meant he didn’t know how.

Right as the words fell, He Muyan turned on the faucet with one hand. The valve was opened too wide, causing the stream of water to hit the bottom of the plate directly and instantly send a large spray of water flying. A patch of He Muyan’s shirt was immediately soaked.

Startled, Song Li quickly turned off the faucet, “Not like that. You have to tilt the plate up first or place it to the side like this. You can’t turn the water on too high, it’s wasteful too.”

Because He Muyan was standing right in the center of the sink, Song Li had to lean half his body forward to clean up the mess for him while slightly nudging He Muyan aside in the process. From behind, it looked as though he was completely enveloped in He Muyan’s embrace. Lol

He Muyan lowered his head to look down at the small cowlick on the crown of his head. He could faintly catch the light scent of shampoo; it was the same one he used, yet it smelled much better on Song Li.

Song Li finished washing the plates very quickly. Realizing that the large figure was still looming right beside him, he belatedly discovered that he seemed to have usurped the other man’s place. Lifting his head, he smiled apologetically, “Sorry about that, I just did it out of habit…”

He didn’t finish the rest of his sentence, because he suddenly realized the distance between the two of them right now was far too close. He Muyan was looking at him with his warm breath fanning across his forehead and cheeks.

The atmosphere carried too much of that specific vibe, and so, quite naturally, He Muyan lowered his head.

Whether Song Li was simply stunned or also anticipating it, he didn’t move and even lifted his face slightly upward.

They kissed quite naturally.

He Muyan’s kisses came fast and relentlessly, carrying an unmistakable air of dominance that perfectly suited his somewhat chauvinistic nature.

Song Li was completely dominated while clinging to He Muyan like a piece of driftwood, guided entirely by him.

By the time it ended dazily, Song Li finally felt a bit of coolness beneath his buttocks. Looking down, he realized that at some unknown point, he had been lifted up and seated on the glazed countertop behind him.

He Muyan still dropped light kisses on the corners of his mouth and the tip of his nose from time to time, pecking at him bit by bit.

Song Li felt lazy and found it rather enjoyable.

He had already noticed the night before, when they were intimate, that He Muyan seemed especially fond of kissing, constantly capturing his lips for lingering nibbles.

It was quite comfortable too, except his mouth hurt a little.

A few faint rings of the doorbell could be heard from outside, bringing both of them back to their senses. He Muyan’s hand brushed against his cheek, his voice low and raspy.

“Li Xiu is here.”

Song Li gave an “oh,” his face a bit red. Bracing himself against the polished countertop to hop down, he tugged at the hem of his shirt and said softly, “I’ll go change my clothes first.”

Song Li went inside to change his top. He originally thought He Muyan would have already left, but to his surprise, when he came out, he saw the man still in the living room, clearly waiting for him.

Feeling a bit flattered, he hurriedly walked over with quick steps, “You-you haven’t left yet?”

He Muyan looked at him, “Do you need a ride to school?”

“No need.” Song Li waved his hands hurriedly. “Don’t you have to leave at nine? If you drive me to school, you won’t make it in time.”

He Muyan nodded before pointing to the two sets of keys on the table nearby, “There are two cars in the garage. You can pick whichever one you like to use for commuting.”

Song Li glanced at those two sets of keys. Without needing to think about it, he knew that neither of these cars was something someone from the working class like him could ever afford. If he really drove one to school, the teachers in the office would absolutely lose their minds.

After thinking about it, he still tactfully declined the kind offer, “It’s fine. I’m not in a hurry to get to school anyway. Taking the subway or just calling a cab later would work.”

He Muyan was puzzled, “There are cars at home, why go take the subway?”

He paused for a moment, then added, “The subway is very crowded.”

Song Li felt that He Muyan sounded a bit gentle when saying this. For some reason, a certain place deep in his heart was moved. He nodded and casually picked up a set of keys. “Alright.”

He Muyan nodded with satisfaction, “Then I am heading to the company.”

Song Li said, “Alright, drive safely.”

He then continued to stand where he was, preparing to see him off.

However, He Muyan also stood still without moving as if he had no intention of leaving. The two stared at each other for a moment, and just as Song Li couldn’t help but want to ask if he had forgotten something, the man in front of him suddenly bent down and left a very light kiss on his left cheek.

Song Li was stunned.

He subconsciously took a step back, his face instantly turning red.

He Muyan didn’t understand why he reacted this way, a hint of confusion appeared in his eyes, “You didn’t move, wasn’t it because you wanted me to give you a goodbye kiss?”

Song Li: “!”

Who said that!

I was just standing here watching you leave, which is just basic send-off etiquette, okay!

President He, didn’t you know that!

President He clearly didn’t know. Realizing he seemed to have misunderstood, he placed a hand over his mouth and let out an embarrassed cough.

“Then I am heading to the company.”

Having finally sent this lord on his way, Song Li let out a breath and pressed his hand against his chest.

It’s just a kiss on the cheek, it’s not like you haven’t kissed more intensely and mushily than this, why is it beating so fast?

In the end, he still took the keys and went to the garage. There were a Bentley and a Porsche; the one he had picked was the Bentley.

He could only pray now that when he drove it to school, he wouldn’t run into anyone who would chase him down with questions.

He only had classes in the afternoon today, but he still had to show up for attendance in the morning. When he arrived at the office, only Xu Shanshan was there. She was smirking at her computer screen with an earbud in one ear, and no one knew what she was watching. However, the moment she saw Song Li walk in, she immediately looked up to greet him.

“Teacher Song is here.”

Song Li nodded, placing one of the small cakes he bought on the way over onto her desk.

“Since the other teachers aren’t around, I’ll give you a little special treatment.”

Xu Shanshan let out a “wow”: “Teacher Song, I love you so much, you have to line up for a really long time to buy this small cake.”

Song Li shrugged, “Can’t help it since I love eating it.”

Xu Shanshan carefully opened the cake box, scooped a small piece into her mouth with a spoon, and cupped her face with both hands, showing a very satisfied expression, “It’s so delicious, the texture of this cream is simply amazing.”

Seeing her react so exaggeratedly, Song Li couldn’t help but want to quickly taste how delicious this new flavor of cake actually was.

He sat down and opened his cake box, while Xu Shanshan sat right beside him, staring at him intently. As she watched, she suddenly spoke out of nowhere, “Teacher Song, have you gotten a boyfriend?”

Song Li’s hand shook, almost poking the lid directly into the pure white cream.

He looked up at Xu Shanshan, stammering, “What, what did you say?”
