PCMWF Chapter 154

Reunited

Next to them was the central street, with many pedestrians and vehicles passing by. After they crossed the street and arrived on the other side, they were confused by the several branching roads ahead. The crowd around them grew larger, and the three little ones were getting nervous. The staff had to step in to maintain order and keep the little ones safely inside the circle. The crumpled map was now in Pei Qiqi’s hands. The noise around them made it hard to focus, like trying to find the right path on the map. After a long while, a layer of sweat formed on Pei Qiqi’s forehead, and he stopped.

“It’s here!” He was a little excited, staring at the little red dot on the map.

Youyou was nearby. Mi Le trusted him completely. He took the map, scanned the crowd, and settled on a kind-looking young woman.

“Excuse me, how do we get here?”

The girl crouched down, studied it carefully, and pointed them in the right direction. Away from the central street, the crowd gradually dispersed, and the view ahead opened up. Thankfully, the map marked the main roads, making them relatively easy to find. The three children helped each other and soon found the entrance to the amusement park. Mi Le stood on his tiptoes, took the money from the coin purse, and handed a few bills to the ticket seller.

“Three children’s tickets, please,” Mi Le said in English.

After buying tickets and going inside, the three little ones looked around, searching for Su Youli. Where was Youyou?

“Congratulations on finding the children’s playground! Youyou is here, but finding him will require a little teamwork.”

The three little ones were separated. The first one to find Youyou would receive an extra gold badge. The children’s playground was much smaller than the outside, filled with colorful, fun rides. Being in this kind of space helped the children relax, unlike the tense feeling of walking on the street.

Niu Niu held up a finger: “I know! Youyou must be at the bumper cars.”

Everyone looked at the dog-themed bumper cars nearby. Each car was a different kind of dog.

Mi Le rubbed his chin and guessed: “I think Youyou is on the swings. He has a swing at home!”

The three little ones split up. Pei Qiqi walked in with his small backpack, looked at the signs, and headed straight for his destination.

“Qiqi, do you know where Youyou is?” the cameraman asked.

Pei Qiqi nodded: “I know.”

The cameraman followed him and quickly spotted a familiar figure. Pei Qiqi started running when he saw the figure, his smile growing wider.

“Youyou!”

Su Youli’s hand, which had been holding the rocking horse’s ear, stopped. He looked up, his eyes lighting up: “Brother Qiqi!”

The little one quickly slid off the rocking horse and ran over to him. The two little ones opened their arms and hugged each other tightly.

“Brother Qiqi, you found Youyou!”

Su Youli hadn’t started kindergarten yet. Being so young, he was used to referring to himself by name, which sounded really cute.

Pei Qiqi was out of breath, but his voice was firm: “Yes, I found you.”

Soon, the four little ones were back together, each riding a rocking horse. The children’s playground played cheerful music, and the four little ones swayed and sang along. After a while, the other three started to get sleepy.

Su Youli led his brother and sister to a bench: “Let’s rest here. We’ll wait for Big Brother to come get us.”

Substitute parent Shen Minyan had finished his role and, like Tang Dou, wore a mask and sunglasses, blending in with the staff. The little ones had successfully reunited, and on the parents’ side, Shen Yan had also met up with Mi Huan and the others. To drop off luggage and find the four little ones, the parents decided to split up and finish filming early so they could rest.

Hua Zhao and Shen Yan went to find the four little ones to bring them back to the hotel. Mi Huan and Wang Zhi, the youngest, were responsible for taking the luggage to the hotel. Shen Yan’s flight arrived earlier than the other guests. Tang Dou picked him up and took him to meet Shen Minyan. Su Youli was still fast asleep. Shen Yan sat by his bed, bent down, and gave him several kisses, but the little guy didn’t wake up. The little guy didn’t know his brother had come. When he got dressed and was carried downstairs for breakfast, he was worried. Dad wasn’t going to be with him for the show. What about Big Brother? Where was he?

Tang Dou wiped his mouth and said, “Youyou, just wait at the playground. Big Brother will definitely come find you.”

So the little guy went on his own, was dropped off at the playground entrance by Shen Minyan after buying a ticket, and walked away, looking back every few steps. Just like the production team said, Youyou had spent a very lonely two hours. Afraid that Big Brother wouldn’t be able to find him, he only stayed in a small area. The little guy had ridden all the rocking horses. Getting a bit bored, he started talking to Uncle Da Mo.

“Uncle Da Mo, do you know where my big brother is?”

Da Mo shook his head. He genuinely didn’t know. The little guy held the camera with both hands, his face filling the lens.

“Big Brother gets lost so easily. What if he gets lost again?” The little guy was really worried about Shen Yan.

After all, in his impression, Shen Yan was either collapsing in front of him or getting lost during missions, leaving him to be found. In the little guy’s heart, Big Brother seemed a bit unreliable. Da Mo pressed his lips together to suppress a smile. Such a worrier for such a young age. Unexpectedly, it was Brother Qiqi who found him first. The little guy was overjoyed. He ran over from the rocking horse area and was hugged tightly by Brother Qiqi.

Pei Qiqi’s cameraman had never seen him so happy. The cool little guy’s mouth was practically stretching to his ears. His face was red with excitement, and his mood visibly improved. The tension from the journey had completely vanished. The four little ones sat on the bench. Except for Youyou, the other three were all drowsy. The little guy didn’t make a fuss. He got up from the bench and ran over to the production team.

“Excuse me, can Youyou have a blanket?”

The production team was larger than when they were in China, clearly wanting to avoid any more problems. The little guy got two blankets, hugged them to his chest, and ran back on his short legs. He was small and weak, so he had to put one blanket aside first, spread out the other, and run around until he had covered Qiqi and the others. The little guy stood in front of them. His friends were all sleeping soundly, covered and warm. He was so amazing!
