最佳契合 (Perfect Match) – 十九瑶

Chapter 2

Zheng Feiluan had a very vivid dream that he would never forget.

In the dream, the sky was high and clear, and pale clouds floated by slowly. A wild goose, far away, made a long, muffled squawk. Through the clouds, heavenly sunlight hit the goose’s gray-white wings. As dew formed, the mountain mist went away. He was in a remote valley by the lake, surrounded by massive fields of white lily of the valley flowers. Each bud hung low, like each blossom was a timid child who was too shy to look at him.

The scent was so strong that it felt like it touched him, soaking the bottom of his clothes and showering his totally exhausted body. His skin and pores were breathing easily, and moisture was slowly filling his lungs. A powerful burst of energy flooded him, making him feel alive for the first time in a long time.

When was the last time I felt relaxed like this?

An unbearable sense of discomfort had haunted him during his six months in Europe. Without a way to release it, the tension continued to build. The more time passed, the worse his situation became, as if his heart were confined in an oxygen-deprived tank. Things got really hectic in the week leading up to his trip home. His temper was at its worst. He was like a fuel tank left in the hot summer sun, fussing and blowing up at the smallest things. He completely lost the ability to express himself normally.

He now felt the comfort he had been waiting for.

Zheng Feiluan took a deep breath and exhaled in relief as he opened his eyes.

Dust particles floated through the air, creating a clouded view. To the right, a plain wooden window with stained glass dulled the morning light. A low ceiling with grayish-green mold grew above, while peeling paint cracks spread like vines.

He lay there for a long time before it finally hit him: he was in an unfamiliar place. A single bed—low and narrow, pushed up against the wall—with the bedding beneath him piled up like a heap of shriveled cabbage.

This was a cheap rental apartment.

How in the world did he get here?

He remembered that after his flight landed yesterday, he went right back to his downtown apartment. To help with his jet lag, he lit some scented candles, took a bath, and drank half a glass of red wine. Before six o’clock in the evening, he had already passed out.

So, how did he wake up in an entirely different place?

Kegh, kegh… I-I’m fine. I don’t need to go to the hospital… kegh…

A suppressed coughing fit interrupted Zheng Feiluan’s train of thought. He turned his head and saw a pale neck, thin shoulders, and slightly wavy black hair. Because of a sharp contrast between the hair and skin tone, the skin looked almost ghostly white.

Sitting on the cold tiles, leaning against the bed, was a young man who looked frail. He wore nothing but a thin blanket to keep warm. The young man held his phone and spoke quietly to the person on the line, “Please pick him up quickly. I passed out last night and just woke up. The sun is about to rise, and I’m afraid he might…”

Zheng Feiluan sat up, his gaze fixed on the back of the young man’s neck—covered in violent bite marks. The teeth marks had gone so deep that blood dripped down his back, as if someone had torn open his gland. He had a lot of bruises on his bare thighs, his ass was red from rough squeezing, and a cloudy, bloodied mess was leaking from his backside—clear signs of being fucked hard.

Did he sleep with a marked omega?

What kind of new scam was this supposed to be?

Instinctively, Zheng Feiluan was suspicious, thinking that this omega had conspired with an alpha to extort him. But he quickly realized that wouldn’t work—videos and photos don’t matter in a rape case. The only clear evidence was pheromones. If someone really intended to frame him, he was confident he could clear his name.

Unaware that he had woken up, the young man continued to urge the other person, his voice becoming more urgent, “Don’t buy medicine or anything. I can hold on. Just hurry over, take a shortcut, and get here quickly. Kegh, kegh… He can’t wake up here…”

Zheng Feiluan looked around. The tiny twenty-square-meter room couldn’t possibly hide anyone else. So the “he” referred to by the young man had to be himself.

Zheng Feiluan chuckled.

This thin, fragile man—he would be scared to hit him too hard for fear of breaking his shoulder—yet he had the guts to play the con artist.

He rolled up his sleeves and pulled at the creases in his shirt as he patiently waited for the omega to get off the phone. He then gave a cold greeting:

“Good morning.”

Thud!

The young man went stiff, and his phone fell to the ground.

He An’s ears swelled with heat the second he heard Zheng Feiluan’s voice. Every hair on his body stood on end as a deafening buzz blasted at the top of his head. He stiffly turned around—and, sure enough, met a pair of fully awake eyes.

What should he do?

His alpha… was now awake.

He turned his head to face Zheng Feiluan, his expression a combination of shock and pure terror—three parts amazed, seven parts terrified. His lips were slightly parted as he looked at him. He had no thoughts at all. Zheng Feiluan waited for a long time, and when He An didn’t respond, he took the initiative to ask, “Who are you?”

He An, still out of it, answered, “I… I’m an omega.”

“Of course I know you’re an omega.” Zheng Feiluan laughed mockingly for a short time. He pointed to the back of He An’s neck, showing that he had already seen the nasty bite marks, “I’m asking why I’m in your house.”

“B-because…”

He An tried to speak, but he couldn’t get the words out.

Zheng Feiluan thought he was too scared to tell the truth. He grunted coldly and lifted the blanket to get out of bed. But when he saw his own naked lower body, he stopped moving. His face got darker right away. He had showered last night before bed, so his body should have been clean.

But now his cock was covered in sticky juices—body fluids, semen, and blood—smelling strong and musky. Anyone could see that it had been used just by looking at it.

He lifted his head and stared hard at He An, eyes locked on him like he wanted to pin him to the wall with his gaze alone.

That face, that neck, the bit of arm and chest exposed from under the blanket—every inch of him was covered in fresh marks of being messed up.

But no.

No way.

There was absolutely no way he had done this.

He had always been a gentle lover—never once had he laid a violent hand on anyone. Even drunk out of his mind, he wouldn’t suddenly turn into some monster overnight and wreck an omega he didn’t even know.

“You…”

Zheng Feiluan looked at He An in disbelief. He got up and pulled the blanket away. The young man trembled so violently that the blanket shook with him, holding it to his chest with all of his might, turning his body to the side and cowering back—as if he was terrified Zheng Feiluan would do something to him again. As soon as Zheng Feiluan witnessed that reaction, his heart dropped. He realized then that last night he had really coerced this omega.

Was it really just a one-night stand?

Impossible.

He had only returned to the country yesterday and had no interest in messing around. Even if he’d wanted to get laid, there’d be plenty of young, pretty, experienced omegas waiting to throw themselves at him. Someone like this—bringing a client back to a cheap rental place to sell his hole—he wouldn’t touch it even if he was the one being paid.

But the strange thing was… why had he gone so far as to mark him?

One-night stands have one rule: no markings. Marking shows that the alpha had complete control during sex, and the marked omega couldn’t fight back, which makes people suspect a rape might have happened. All the other party has to do is get a bite mark analysis from the Omega Protection Association and then file a sexual assault case. They’ll win every time.

Zheng Feiluan squinted as he looked at the helpless omega in front of him closely, trying to figure out what kind of trick he was planning to pull.

He An, scared that his secret would be revealed, instinctively protected his belly. Zheng Feiluan noticed this strange behavior right away. He glared, furrowing his eyebrows, and harshly pulled the blanket off of He An!

Fuck.

He was a pregnant omega.

No alpha could violate a pregnant omega—Zheng Feiluan had been taught this since childhood. It wasn’t a matter of morals or law—it was physically impossible.

Omegas are born fragile. Once they got pregnant, they pretty much lost their ability to keep themselves safe. But at the same time, they got a strong weapon: Type-II pregnancy pheromones. These effectively suppressed arousal in all unfamiliar alphas. Which meant that no alpha, except the child’s biological father, could stand a chance against a pregnant omega.

And Zheng Feiluan was standing there with a full-blown, morning-hard erection.

It was ridiculous.

So ridiculous that it’s like a bad joke that wasn’t even told right.

He found himself laughing as he lowered his head to see his own cock—energetic, alert, and standing proud as if nothing were wrong. Then he bent down, reached for He An’s chin, and studied that white, fragile face, which he had absolutely no memory of.

“I can’t believe it. One shock after another first thing in the morning—I guess I’m witnessing a damn miracle.” He asked, pointing at He An’s belly, “Is it mine… in there?”

He An nodded in fear, “Y-yes.”

“How many months?”

“Six months and nine days.”

Six months—that means the child was definitely conceived before leaving the country.

During that time, he was swamped with work, meeting with sixteen companies regularly across five countries. His travel itinerary alone filled two A4 pages. He worked late at night until two in the morning, wishing he could actually split a minute in half. He’d slept in hotel suites for a whole week.

And in the middle of all that, he apparently cloned himself and got an omega pregnant while living in a cramped apartment?

It’s just impossible.

“Staying strangers doesn’t seem appropriate when we already have a child on the way, does it?” He gave He An a polite smile—polite, but as cold as ice, with no real feeling behind it, “If you don’t mind, let’s find a place to talk this over.”

He needed to figure out the whole thing immediately—and before things blew up, cut this whole mess cleanly and get rid of this omega along with the fetus he was carrying.

When the beta assistant, Cheng Xiu, got there drenched in sweat, it was Zheng Feiluan who opened the door for him. When Cheng Xiu saw his boss standing there wide awake, his legs went weak, like rice noodles soaked in hot soup. He grabbed the security fence and fell to his knees with a loud clang.

Zheng Feiluan shot him a cold glance, “So that’s who the accomplice is. My own guy. It seems like you’ve done this before. How long have you been at it?”

Cheng Xiu trembled, “One year and… three months.”

Zheng Feiluan gave him a slight smile that wasn’t really a smile, “Feels good lying to me?”

Cheng Xiu shook his head like a wet dog and swore, “No, no! Absolutely not!”

But deep down, he thought to himself:
Who am I kidding? Hell, it felt great!
Every time you shoved a folder into my chest and barked orders at me like a warplane firing bullets, I prayed to God you’d stop by He An’s place. I would drop off a starving lion there; after one night of bliss and one phone call later, I would be picking up a well-fed big housecat with clipped nails! Not even Tibetan mastiffs clean up this well after being groomed at a pet shop!

Cheng Xiu pretended to be scared, but he was actually very calm inside—Zheng Feiluan had just slept with He An. His temper was at its calmest in half a year; no matter how irritated he became, he wouldn’t explode. Cheng Xiu always chose this day to ask for a raise—he never failed. His life was now in danger after being caught red-handed, but with luck, he might just survive.

After taking a hot shower, He An froze when he saw Cheng Xiu. They both stepped back at the same time.

Cheng Xiu’s eyes widened as he looked at the oversized shirt hanging across He An’s belly, then he made a circular motion with his hands in front of him, “Are… are you…?”

He hadn’t seen He An in almost six months because he was on a work trip to Europe with Zheng Feiluan. Of course, he had no idea about the pregnancy. He An pulled on the bottom of his shirt and said softly, “The last time… I happened to be in heat, so… it happened.”

After sharing this coded confession, the two looked over at Zheng Feiluan, whose face had turned completely dark, and then both of them lowered their heads in guilty silence.
