WCHM Chapter 23

[First World – Campus Romance Plot] Chapter 23

Maybe it was because the twisted love in those eyes ran too deep, but Lu Chi actually didn’t take Liang Jiashu’s occasional crude remarks all that seriously. He only blinked, then, after a moment, smiled as he commented: “Liang Jiashu, I’ve realized you talk way too bluntly… it just makes you sound like a total horndog.”

Not that he only sounded like a horndog.

He was a horndog.

With a smiling Lu Chi right in front of him, if someone wasn’t horny, they might as well drop dead on the spot. But Liang Jiashu didn’t argue back. Seeing that Lu Chi wasn’t outright refusing, he immediately took it as consent and bent down to kiss him without another word.

But halfway, he suddenly remembered he’d just had Lu Chi in his mouth and abruptly froze.

Lu Chi blinked as he saw Liang Jiashu suddenly shoot up, striding with a blank face over to the fridge, where he pulled out two bottles of water. He twisted one open, handed it to Lu Chi, then tilted his own head back and rinsed his mouth out several times in quick succession before crouching down again to kiss him deeply.

His lips were chilled from the water, pressing rough and hard between Lu Chi’s teeth.

Lu Chi couldn’t help laughing, tangling his fingers in his hair as he kissed back, panting intermittently: “What the hell is wrong with you… You’d rather rinse your mouth than go downstairs?”

Liang Jiashu’s voice was hoarse: “Rinsing means I can kiss you.”

Lu Chi automatically finished the part he had left unsaid:

If I went downstairs for condoms, I wouldn’t be able to kiss you in the meantime.

He found it funny, and maybe because he was half-dizzy from kissing, he even found Liang Jiashu’s logic excusable. So he leaned lazily against the sofa’s edge and let him kiss as he pleased. The long carpet brushed against his slender ankle, while his cool fingertips pressed against the back of Liang Jiashu’s neck.

The hum of the AC filled the room. The huge floor-to-ceiling windows looked out on a traditional courtyard with bridges and flowing water; the streetlights lit up the glass faintly, and through the reflection, you could see two men in the villa’s living room locked in a kiss.

The one in the black shirt kissed fiercely, movements dripping with possessiveness. The one in the light shirt rested a hand on his shoulder, fingers like an invisible leash, sometimes squeezing the back of his neck and reining in the other’s urge to swallow him whole.

Their looks and temperaments were worlds apart, yet in that moment, they gave off an oddly perfect sense of harmony.

……………

Since there was nothing in the villa’s living room, they turned and headed into the bathroom. Steam quickly filled the air. Liang Jiashu ran a nearly full tub of hot water, then bent to kiss Lu Chi, who sat on the edge of it, peeling him out of his clothes bit by bit like he was peeling seaweed off a mermaid.

With a splash, the mermaid Lu Chi slid straight into the tub. Liang Jiashu immediately stood up, stripping his own clothes off in one quick motion, ready to pounce on him. But when he turned back, he saw Lu Chi suddenly pop up from the water, pale fingers tugging at his roots where the color was running out.

“Ah-oh! Liang Jiashu, my hair dye’s fading!”

Clearly, a disposable spray-on color was no match for actual dye.

In an instant, the 18+ atmosphere collapsed into a mortifying “hair-color fail” scene.

Water dripped down Lu Chi’s upper body, the teal strands of his hair shedding droplets that spattered against his beautiful collarbone before rolling further down his pale skin. At first glance, he looked like a wilting, color-bleeding… cabbage.

Liang Jiashu froze, then walked over and crouched down, expression blank as he touched the shedding strands of his “cabbage.”

Lu Chi gave him a puzzled look. He wanted to grab a robe and his phone to complain to the lousy seller whose spray washed out in half a day, but his phone must have fallen to the living room carpet during their kissing, as it was nowhere to be found.

But Liang Jiashu pressed him down, leaned over, and kissed the dripping “cabbage head.” His tone was calm, saying, “I’ll go. You keep soaking.”

“Oh.” Lu Chi made a sound, watching as Liang Jiashu threw on a bathrobe and walked out. His expression didn’t show any dissatisfaction at having the mood ruined, and, from behind, his broad shoulders and back carried the form of a man in his prime.

The heat lamps radiated warm light. Lu Chi dunked his head under the water, idly waiting. After quite a while, the man finally came back.

“What took you so long?” Lu Chi asked.

“I brewed some calming tea. You can drink it when you’re done soaking. Lower your head.”

Lu Chi glanced up to see Liang Jiashu already pumping out shampoo into his palm, lathering it into foam, and looking over as if intent on washing his hair. Lu Chi went along easily, lying back against the tub as naturally as if it had always been that way, letting Liang Jiashu wash his hair while he typed out a bad review for the Taobao seller.

But by the end, he softened, thinking the seller probably had it tough as well. Therefore, he deleted the long criticism and changed it into a glowing five-star review instead.

Lu Chi sighed at himself, setting the phone aside: “I’m just that kind of person. If you piss me off, I’ll just walk away quietly.”

Amusement flickered in Liang Jiashu’s eyes as he rinsed his hair, kneeling on one knee by the tub. The faint teal had already washed away. Lu Chi twisted like a fish, slick black hair dripping as he pushed it back, smiling as he looked at him: “Thanks.”

Liang Jiashu made a quiet sound, then asked: “How are you going to thank me?”

Lu Chi arched a brow.

“How do you want me to thank you?”

How else could he want?

With kissing, hugging, and sex in bed, of course!

Liang Jiashu raised a hand and slipped off his bathrobe. His muscles tightened and bulged under the steam, and in an instant, the atmosphere was dragged straight back into an 18+ channel. With a splash, he half-kneelt into the tub, leaning in until his nose brushed Lu Chi’s, voice hoarse: “Lu Chi, I went downstairs.”

The tip of Lu Chi’s nose suddenly caught the faint scent of lubricant.

He froze, immediately realizing why Liang Jiashu had taken so long just now.

“So that’s what you went to get?”

Liang Jiashu hummed in reply, bowing to scatter feather-light kisses across his lips. His thumb pressed firmly into the small of Lu Chi’s back, circling and rubbing hard.

Lu Chi couldn’t help pressing back against his touch, laughing between shallow breaths: “Classmate Liang, your heart’s racing. Careful, or you might pass out.”

Racing was an understatement. For a man his age, he was practically…

In the mist, Lu Chi’s brows and eyes grew damp, as if he were Liang Jiashu’s private mermaid, forced down into the tub, made to receive all the filth and depravity of his desires. That thought alone sent a jolt through Liang Jiashu, his dark eyes sinking as he clutched Lu Chi’s hand tight, ducked beneath the water, and pressed his lips to him.

The average human oral cavity runs about thirty-six degrees Celsius. But Liang Jiashu’s body burned hotter than most, and his temperature was higher, scalding.

Very soon, Lu Chi tilted his head back, eyes narrowing, sweat beading at his brow before dripping into the water below.

Liang Jiashu’s hair wasn’t particularly soft, and in the water it spread like black seaweed. Lu Chi fisted his roots, yanking him up after a while, voice damp with steam: “You’ve been practicing again?”

A lot better than the last time in the lab.

Liang Jiashu hummed, leaned close to nip at his ear, droplets dripping onto his collarbone as he answered: “I can tie a cherry stem into a bow now.”

No wonder his tongue was so damn flexible.

Lu Chi gave a light laugh, turned his head to kiss his ear in return, then leaned back against the edge of the tub with lazy ease. His wet black hair framed his sharp brows and eyes; dripping like a mermaid, his beauty was transparent and languid. He propped his chin on one hand, tilting his head to study Liang Jiashu with curiosity.

“Besides that, what else have you learned?”

“…I’ve learned.”

Liang Jiashu’s voice was hoarse, his brain fogged with desire, and his eyes locked tight on him. But as Lu Chi leisurely met his stare, he suddenly slid his foot down along the lines of his abs, pressing lightly against him.

“Then prove it to me.”

The next second, a violent splash erupted in the tub. Hot water surged and spilled, splattering across the tiles.

Lu Chi was buried beneath a flood of kisses, wet everywhere, though he still had the breath to laugh and pull back his tongue, fingers trailing down as he panted softly: “Classmate Liang… your aim seems a little off?”

Straddling him, Liang Jiashu was practically breathing fire. At those words, his breath only grew heavier. Lowering his gaze, he gripped him and sat down hard, sinking in at once, heart hammering so wildly he almost went into cardiac arrest.

The raw, unobstructed sensation defied description, strange and intoxicating.

Lu Chi let out a slow breath, the tips of his upturned eyes flushing with a gorgeous red. His aura suddenly became ripe and decadent, a kind of beauty too dangerous to stare at directly.

The tub was wide enough to hold two men nearing one meter ninety, writhing like monsters in combat.

The instant he was fully taken, Liang Jiashu grabbed Lu Chi’s hair for the first time, forcing him to lock eyes. Those bottomless black pupils bore into him, like a beast marking its territory, or a malicious spirit planting a curse. With obsessive, frenzied lust, he drove nails of possession into Lu Chi’s body, as if once struck, they could never be removed for all eternity.

Twisted.

But meeting that wrenched gaze, Lu Chi suddenly flicked his tongue across his lips, murmuring through shallow breaths: “Good boy…”

Twisted, yes.

But Lu Chi favored that kind of twistedness.

He wanted to be loved forever.

Liang Jiashu’s Adam’s apple bobbed violently. He couldn’t stop himself from clutching Lu Chi’s fingers, kissing the drenched man before him with desperate force. His voice was gravelly, like sand grinding against stone, asking: “Lu Chi, am I making you happy?”

Lu Chi smiled, lifting a hand to pinch the back of his neck. But the laugh rocked his body, and with them joined so tightly, the ripple of movement sent sparks of pleasure crashing through them both. Inexperienced, they both froze, staring into each other’s eyes.

After a long moment, Lu Chi rested his head on Liang Jiashu’s shoulder, muffling a laugh.

So Liang Jiashu couldn’t help the curve of his own lips, as fleeting amusement and affection flickered through his otherwise cold, black gaze.

The showerhead was still running, hot water rushing down.

At some point, the sound of splashing took on a rhythm, like waves pounding against a ship’s hull, rolling in with one crashing tide after another. Water surged and tiles grew slick with steam, slippery and hot.

The bathroom light shone bright.

The older man made no effort to hide his feelings, breath hitching with every exhale, sweat dripping into his lashes until they were damp. Occasionally, a low laugh or muffled moan escaped him, like he was being teased to his limit, voice dripping with sex as he urged the other on.

Deeper.

Waves rose higher.

Moonlight fell through the glass window, brushing the night with its teasing touch.

……………….

Taking advantage of the weekend with no classes, they went until four in the morning. From the bathroom to the living room, even up against the floor-to-ceiling windows of the balcony.

The floor was littered with bottles of all kinds. Liang Jiashu had pulled out all sorts of lubricants from different brands, but not once had he taken a condom.

Even in the last minutes before they collapsed into bed, he was still licking the sweat from Lu Chi’s face.

Lu Chi felt like the man had really gone a bit mad. He snorted, flicking a finger against Liang Jiashu’s forehead, only for his hand to be caught and held, their fingers interlacing tight and hot.

Those black eyes clung to him with a paranoid intensity. Liang Jiashu’s arms crushed him close, his hoarse voice carrying a trace of unnatural strain: “Lu Chi, I love you.”

He’d said that line nearly ten thousand times tonight.

Lu Chi gave a lazy hum, leaning against his shoulder, words short and to the point: “I know. Sleep.”

Liang Jiashu replied, “I can’t sleep.”

Lu Chi’s body temperature ran cool, and holding him was like holding a piece of cold jade. It only made one want to hug him tighter.

The bedroom lay in utter silence.

Lu Chi had often stayed up late shooting fight scenes, so he wasn’t particularly tired or drowsy now. But he was the type who valued health, so upon hearing that, he simply closed his eyes and let his voice drift like air.

“Liang Jiashu, you don’t actually want to die the moment you finally get me, right? Turn into a ghost and have to watch me be with someone else?”

“……”

The deathly silence made Lu Chi want to laugh.

After a long pause, he heard Liang Jiashu exhale, then felt lips press against his forehead in a kiss that was both tender and possessive. Lu Chi sensed the weight of his affection. Eyes still shut, he reached out to lightly pat Liang Jiashu’s back.

………………….

When he opened his eyes again, the sky beyond the window was already bright, and the faint scent of jasmine hung in the air. Lu Chi lay in bed dazed for a long time before noticing the chill tickling his wrist. Turning his head, he saw Liang Jiashu there.

The young man was holding his wrist with a spray bottle in hand, carefully misting medicine over it. The marks on Lu Chi’s body were even worse than last time, sprawling from his neck down to his wrists. After a single night, there was no time for them to have healed.

The medicine was likely a new development of Liang Jiashu’s, the fine mist colorless and scentless as it dispersed in the air. Noticing Lu Chi was awake, he handed him a new, rather pretty water cup, then lowered his head to drop a kiss on him, face still blank as he asked: “Good afternoon. Hungry? The chef’s already been by. There are ingredients on the counter. What do you want to eat?”

Completely the picture of a perfect boyfriend.

Lu Chi blinked, took the cup, and downed the water in gulps. But somehow, it wasn’t as satisfying as his old frog cup. Shaking his head, he muttered, “Not very hungry. Are you eating?”

Liang Jiashu said he wasn’t, then meticulously sprayed down every mark on Lu Chi’s body before finally letting him get up to wash. Overnight, the villa had sprouted countless pairs of “for two” items. Seeing the couple’s pajamas he’d been changed into without noticing, Lu Chi was left speechless.

He suspected Liang Jiashu hadn’t slept at all, but instead, spent the whole night searching for “must-have couple items” and bulk-ordering everything.

And now… Liang Jiashu had suddenly become extremely clingy.

Before, with Lu Chi’s push-and-pull, hot-and-cold ways, especially that week of cutting off contact, Liang Jiashu had only kept silent. But from the moment Lu Chi woke up, no matter what he did, the man followed like a ghost, black eyes fixed on him with calm gentleness and utterly impossible to shake.

After last night, Liang Jiashu had basically turned into Lu Chi’s personal shadow.

Lu Chi almost wanted to laugh. He finished washing, only to be pinned against the bathroom door for another ten-minute kiss. By the time he sat at the dining table, the root of his tongue was still numb, fingertips still tingling with the warmth of Liang Jiashu’s mouth.

Liang Jiashu sat at his side as if nothing were out of the ordinary, copying whatever he ate with a blank face like a perfect mimic.

The phone buzzed.

Lu Chi opened it to see a message from Gu Yanyan. He had forwarded a post from A University’s forum, a huge thread titled:

[Is the Butterfly Still Single or Not??!!]

It had been posted yesterday and already had over a thousand replies.

Lu Chi skimmed it, noticing that everyone was speculating about his relationship with Liang Jiashu, mixed in with snide commentary about the “rich people.” Sliding further down, his expression grew thoughtful.

A hand with long, distinct knuckles suddenly covered the screen, and Lu Chi looked up, meeting Liang Jiashu’s gaze.

“What are you looking at?”

Lu Chi handed him the phone, then lifted his cup for a drink. Moments later, he heard Liang Jiashu set the phone down, his voice sounding unusually pleased: “A bunch of cowards, don’t even dare type my name… Right, how should we go public with our relationship? What way do you want?”

Flowers? Fireworks? A live band?

Or maybe, just build Lu Chi a new classroom building? He did have a terrible sense of direction, and that way, he wouldn’t have to hunt for classrooms anymore. He could just teach wherever he wanted.

Liang Jiashu’s mind churned with preparations for announcing their relationship, like he had that morning when personally arranging the villa, his need for control and possessiveness overflowing and brimming with excitement.

Lu Chi was still drinking water. At those words, he raised a brow, looking at him with faint surprise.

“Why would we make it public?” he asked.

“…What?”

Lu Chi set down his cup, puzzled.

“Liang Jiashu, when did I ever say I wanted to go public?”

The air froze as Liang Jiashu stilled. After a long moment, his gaze locked slowly and tightly onto him.
