GV – Chapter 101

I revised a few parts of Part One to make the foreshadowing more apparent – it wasn’t a massive rewrite. The adjustments in Part Two were really more like bug fixes and fine-tuning, so they weren’t drastic either.

As for the bonus chapters, I honestly didn’t know what to write. It felt like everything I wanted to express was already in the main text; adding more wouldn’t enhance the book, and I just couldn’t find the motivation. So that’s that.

Maybe one day when I suddenly think of them again, I’ll write something. But for now, I’ll let Song Zhiqing and Ye Yuhuan remain in their world warming each other, embracing, growing old together, and spending the rest of their lives side by side.

My original goal was to tell a beautiful story, a sort of realistic fairy tale. I don’t know if I’ve achieved that – that’s for the readers to decide, not the author. But I sincerely hope that if you’re reading this, you’re happy. Then all my effort won’t have been in vain.

Honestly, though, these past three months of writing every single day have been a treasure to me. I can feel the words drawing closer to me.

So, in my eyes, this story has always been beautiful, inside and out.
