Crossovers (The End)

t/n: I think this is readable even without having read the crossover, just consider them new characters or something, it’s still fun and the main POV is focused on QX and YXZ. Would definitely be more fun though if you’ve read the other works mentioned here.

  1. Crossover Between “True Color” and “Deep Desire”

At the end of the month, Qi Xing went to Beijing to negotiate a business deal.

The talks went so smoothly that they had practically finalized everything that very day. The other company’s owner invited him to visit his resort the next day, and Qi Xing happily accepted.

He also brought along Ye Xingzhou, who just so happened to be on a business trip in Beijing. On the way, he casually mentioned the business partner: “He’s a pretty good guy, easy to talk to, and straightforward, unlike a certain someone who has over a hundred and eighty schemes up his sleeves. Oh, and he’s good-looking too.”

Ye Xingzhou shot him a sideways glance, “Handsome?”

“Not as handsome as you, sugar daddy, that’s for sure—but still pretty handsome,” Qi Xing said with a grin. “You’ll know when you meet him.”

“I know him, Lu Jingshen. We’ve dealt with each other many times. We even sent him an invitation to our wedding. He happened to be overseas then and couldn’t make it, but he sent a gift.”

Qi Xing: “…?” Are you kidding me?

When they arrived at the entrance of the resort, Lu Jingshen personally came out to greet them. Qi Xing smiled and shook hands with him, exchanging pleasantries: “President Lu, Ye Xingzhou said he knows you, so I won’t introduce him. I brought him here without prior notice, you don’t mind, do you?”

Lu Jingshen smiled warmly: “Not at all, the more the merrier.”

He also shook hands with Ye Xingzhou, and the two indeed seemed quite familiar with each other.

Standing behind Lu Jingshen was another man. He was tall, handsome, and dressed casually. At first glance he looked like Lu Jingshen’s assistant, but not quite; no assistant would carry himself with such ease. Qi Xing hadn’t seen him at yesterday’s negotiations.

He couldn’t help giving the man another look. The man’s lips curled up as he looked back at him: “Kid, why are you staring at me like that?”

Qi Xing: “…”

Why did everyone insist on calling him “kid”? What exactly about him was little anymore?

Lu Jingshen coughed lightly and introduced him to Qi Xing and Ye Xingzhou, “His name is Feng Si.”

As for what Feng Si’s relationship to him actually was, he didn’t explain.

He simply turned back and gave Feng Si a subtle shake of the head, as if reminding him to behave.

Ye Xingzhou rested a hand on Qi Xing’s shoulder, “Let’s go.”

As Qi Xing withdrew his gaze, he noticed Lu Jingshen’s intimate behavior towards that man. Lowering his voice, he asked Ye Xingzhou curiously, “Who’s that? President Lu’s assistant?”

“Sort of,” Ye Xingzhou answered. “He’s also his man.”

Qi Xing asked in surprise, “How did you know? Did President Lu tell you?”

“We’re not close enough for that,” Ye Xingzhou replied evenly. “I guessed.”

Meanwhile, Lu Jingshen sighed helplessly at Feng Si: “Could you rein yourself in a little? Young Master Qi is here to negotiate an acquisition contract with me. The first thing you do is call him a ‘kid.’ What if you scare him off? Do you want me to lose this deal?”

Feng Si laughed. “Alright, Ah Shen, I just thought they were your friends. Didn’t they invite you to their wedding?”

“That’s different.”

“Fine then, I’ll help you entertain them in a bit.”

Upon entering the resort and boarding the tour bus, Feng Si volunteered to act as the tour guide, providing introductions for Qi Xing and Ye Xingzhou along the way. His quick wit and eloquence kept the conversation flowing smoothly, making Lu Jingshen feel much more at ease.

Moreover, Feng Si was British, and since both Ye Xingzhou and Qi Xing had studied in the UK, that one shared topic alone was enough for him to chat with them all day.

“Ah Shen and I registered our marriage in London too,” Feng Si said with a teasing smile, clearly not having taken Lu Jingshen’s words about restraint to heart. “But we weren’t nearly as high-profile as you two—you had such a sensational wedding.”

Lu Jingshen considered steering the conversation elsewhere, but then thought better of it and decided to let it go.

Qi Xing laughed, too: “So you and President Lu really are a couple?”

“You could tell?”

Qi Xing pointed to Ye Xingzhou beside him: “I couldn’t, but he could.”

By then, the cart had stopped beside the golf course. As they climbed out, Ye Xingzhou tilted his chin slightly and let out a brief laugh, “I guessed this after watching President Lu’s live stream.”

He turned to pick out golf clubs first, and Qi Xing followed after him: “What? A live stream?”

“If you search for President Lu’s name online, you’ll find that confession video. It’s quite interesting,” Ye Xingzhou said, speaking about someone else’s embarrassing story as though it were nothing more than amusing gossip.

Qi Xing blinked. “Sugar daddy… since when did you become such a gossip?”

Ye Xingzhou glanced at him, “So you’re happy to be called a kid?”

Qi Xing clicked his tongue. “As if.”

“Then, there’s no issues.”

Lu Jingshen: “…”

Feng Si, thick-skinned, showed no embarrassment at being ridiculed and even teased Lu Jingshen: “Didn’t your younger brother say he’d gotten that video wiped from the entire internet? What’s he doing?”

Lu Jingshen replied flatly, “Would you shut up?”

“It’s no use pretending to have amnesia to regret it now.”

Lu Jingshen threw a golf club to Feng Si’s chest: “Go play with them.”

“And,” he emphasized again, “I have no regrets.”

  1. Crossover Between “True Color” and “Dark Fire”

Qi Xing and Ye Xingzhou stayed for only one night at the Lu family’s resort. Lu Jingshen told them to make themselves at home, so they didn’t trouble him to play host. Early the next morning, Qi Xing remembered the horse ranch they had passed on the way there the day before and eagerly dragged Ye Xingzhou over to take a look.

“You know how to ride?” Ye Xingzhou asked.

The young master rubbed his hands together excitedly, “If I don’t, I can still learn!”

Ye Xingzhou frowned: “Let a professional teach you, don’t go trying things on your own.”

Fortunately, all of the trainers at the ranch were professionals. They enthusiastically guided them, and seeing how interested Qi Xing was, they invited him to choose a horse he liked first, offering advice along the way about what to look for.

Qi Xing looked around, asking, “These are all available for selection?”

“Most of them, yes,” one of the trainers replied. “But—”

Before the other person could finish speaking, Qi Xing’s eyes lit up as he spotted a large, beautiful horse right in front of him, its golden coat gleaming brilliantly beneath the morning sun.

“That one!”

He went up to the horse, trying to get close to it, but was rudely snorted at.

The trainer smiled awkwardly, “Sorry, Young Master Qi. That horse already has an owner.”

“Can’t you let me borrow it for a while?” Qi Xing asked. He found the horse even more interesting now. The more spirited it was, the more he liked it. Besides, the key was that it was very beautiful, more so than the others.

The horse trainer hesitated, “This…”

“You can’t.”

Another voice suddenly sounded behind them. Qi Xing turned around to see two young men walking over side by side.

The taller one wore a half-smile, “You’re friends of my brother’s? Sorry, but that horse belongs to us and we don’t lend it out.”

The slightly shorter man beside him tugged at his sleeve and whispered, “Maybe just let them? Since Brother Shen brought them here, they must be important friends. If they want to ride it, just let them have some fun.”

Lu Chixie turned to him and smiled, but still insisted, “No, I gave it to you.”

Ling Zhuo sighed helplessly and gave up.

Lu Chixie walked over to greet Ye Xingzhou and Qi Xing, “My brother mentioned he’d brought some friends over. You’re welcome to ride any of the other horses here, but not this one. I gave this horse to my boyfriend, so I’d rather not lend it out. Sorry.”

Ye Xingzhou nodded: “We were presumptuous.”

Qi Xing’s gaze swept over Lu Chixie without any interest, but stopped abruptly when it landed on Ling Zhuo. He pulled down his sunglasses with one finger and broke into a brilliant smile: “Big star, long time no see!”

Ling Zhuo recognized him immediately. After a brief look of surprise, he smiled back: “Young Master Qi, long time no see.”

Compared with Qi Xing’s easygoing enthusiasm, there was actually a hint of awkwardness in Ling Zhuo’s smile.

Ye Xingzhou quietly studied him for a moment before shifting his gaze to Qi Xing, who was beaming with joy: “You two know each other?”

Lu Chixie seemed to have the same question, silently questioning Ling Zhuo with his eyes. Ling Zhuo was reluctant to answer, but Qi Xing pointed at him and said dismissively, “Yeah, we know each other. I used to pursue him, but I didn’t succeed.”

Lu Chixie: “…”

Ye Xingzhou: “……….”

A moment later, Ye Xingzhou had Qi Xing by the back of the collar and was dragging him away. He immediately clasped his hands together and begged for mercy: “Sugar daddy, have mercy!!!”

Ye Xingzhou finally released his hands: “Explain yourself.”

“You already know I chased plenty of people back then. Why are you jealous again?” Qi Xing said, swaying his head innocently, “Although, that one really was a little special.”

Ye Xingzhou shot him a look. “Special?”

“Yeah,” Qi Xing affirmed, “He wasn’t moved by my beauty or money. No matter how I pursued him, he remained unmoved. Back then, I would fly here two or three times a month for him. Later, he told me he had someone he liked and even showed me a picture, so I gave up. Wait a minute—”

“The person in the photo he showed me at the time wasn’t President Lu’s brother at all!”

Qi Xing muttering to himself, “That Lu Chixie was obviously a spoiled brat. How could he be any better than me? Why would Ling Zhuo fall for him? Why did he reject me in the first place? If I had known…”

“If you had known what?” Ye Xingzhou interrupted coldly.

Qi Xing gave a soft snort, his peach blossom eyes darting around: “Forget it, forget it, it’s no use, knowing it wouldn’t have made a difference. Compared to someone like him, I still prefer someone like you, my sugar daddy!”

Ye Xingzhou remained expressionless and flicked his forehead.

Grinning, Qi Xing wrapped his arms around Ye Xingzhou’s waist: “I’m serious! I was just temporarily attracted to his good looks, it’s nothing really. Ye Xingzhou, I still love you the most. What’s that saying again? ‘After seeing the clouds above Mount Wu, no other clouds compare.’ Sugar daddy, you’re my one and only!”

Ye Xingzhou replied flatly, “Shut up.”

Meanwhile, Ling Zhuo briefly explained how he knew Qi Xing before laughing, “I could tell back then that he wasn’t being serious, but still, he’s a decent person; at least he wouldn’t force someone to do something against their will.”

Lu Chixie asked, “And who would force someone to do something against their will?”

“Who do you think?” Ling Zhuo raised a hand and patted his chest gently. “Young Master Lu, ask yourself.”

Lu Chixie grabbed his hand, his face calm and composed: “So he didn’t win you over, but I did. Looks like you really do fall for that kind of approach.”

“Oh, stop it,” Ling Zhuo shook his head, too lazy to argue.

Lu Chixie certainly had a terrible temper, but the things he had done for him were things that no one else ever would have, so there could only ever be Lu Chixie in his heart.

But it’s best not to say anything, lest this guy’s ego grows even bigger.
