ITF Chapter59

Luo Congye’s chest pressed against his back.

A well-defined, skeletal hand covered his left hand, weaving fingers through his gaps and interlocking tightly.

Immediately after, his right hand was pinned down in the same manner.

The thing pressed against him from behind was as hard as a weapon about to carry out an execution, yet scalding enough to startle the heart. Bai Heting couldn’t help but tighten his grip, forcing Luo Congye’s joints to buckle under the pressure.

The anticipated pain, however, did not descend immediately. Luo Congye leaned down to kiss his neck, whispering against his ear, “You smell so good.”

Bai Heting’s body softened once more, and only then did Luo Congye thrust forward fiercely.

“Ugh—” Bai Heting snapped his head back, but his body was pinned firmly in place, completely unable to move.

Luo Congye knew he ought to solemnly check with the general one more time, to confirm that this decision was not a momentary impulse controlled by the mark.

But he did not dare to confirm it, and more than that, he did not want to.

The Omega he adored had opened up the most hidden, most important, and most fragile part of his body to him, inviting him to become his unique, lifelong partner connected by a permanent mark in this world.

From this day forward, this Omega would reject the pheromones of any other Alpha; only he could bring him the pleasure and solace of the union of body and soul.

No Alpha could refuse such an invitation.

The fingers clutching his gradually lost their strength. Luo Congye released one hand and turned Bai Heting’s face over, pressing their foreheads together as he asked in a hoarse voice, “Does it hurt a lot?”

Bai Heting’s gaze was dazed with his skin flushed with a layer of crimson.

Yet, even if he cried out in pain at this moment, Luo Congye likely would not be able to stop either.

He showed a rare vulnerability and said, “It feels so good inside you, I can’t hold back.”

Bai Heting tightly gripped the left hand interlocked with his own, panting through knitted brows, “It’s n-not pain…”

His appearance only caused the Alpha to lose control even further. Bai Heting’s fading consciousness was suddenly jolted awake by a sharp burst of pain.

“Don’t move.” Luo Congye gripped his waist tightly as it instinctively tried to dodge.

Bai Heting did not move again, nor could he move; struggling would only result in injuring himself.

The tequila-scented pheromones, laced with a faint calming undertone, filled the dilapidated wooden house.

Luo Congye gently stroked his thighs, which were trembling from excessive tension.

He wanted to pour his heart out to Bai Heting again, to say things like “I will be with you for the rest of my life,” or “I love you.”

But when the words reached his lips, they turned into, “In the future, I will make you apple pies.”

“You…” Bai Heting said in a weak voice, “…even know how to make that.”

“I don’t know how yet.” Luo Congye said honestly.

The corners of Bai Heting’s lips hooked up gently.

Fool.

How could anyone get to eat apple pies during a life on the run?

With the arrow on the string, Luo Congye spoke no more. He lowered his head to kiss the scar on Bai Heting’s back shoulder, then continued upward along the shoulder by biting into the back of his neck, which was sweeter and more fragrant than any apple.

When Luo Congye withdrew from his body, Bai Heting collapsed onto the mat, entirely devoid of strength.

He had barely closed his eyes last night, and right now, a wave of drowsiness came crashing down so overwhelmingly that he could hardly keep his eyes open.

His body was gathered into a warm embrace, and the gentle tequila pheromones quickly lulled him into a deep sleep.

This was perhaps the most peaceful and secure sleep he had ever had since the day he was born.

But he had a dream.

He dreamed of a certain night more than ten years ago, during his escape from Urdan to the capital, when that annoying little brat had timidly extended his arms and embraced him from behind.

In Bai Heting’s memory, this was the very first person to ever give him a hug.

Though the boy was short and small, his embrace had been incredibly comfortable.

Bai Heting’s back felt nice and warm.

His chest, too, grew nice and warm along with it.

It inadvertently caused him to recall that little bird named “Bread,” whom he had once cradled in the palms of his hands.
